    Thanks for the video. I have the first joyo wireless. Wanted to get another one for backup so I chose this one and based on your review makes me feel more comfortable ordering it. Hope to have it in a few days to try out.

    Great overview video, not too long, yet covered all relevant points. I just bought 2 pair of these and was trying to figure out how to pair 2 transmitters to 1 receiver. Description made it seem possible, but haven't figured out how. Thanks again for the great video for this joyo wireless guitar system!

    Oh-oh ... check this: I was excited to purchase and use the JOYO JW-03 for just over 10 days and recommended the product to a my trio-mate, another acoustic guitarist. Love the battery life. Now the rest of the story: At this week's practice, I had mine paired and plugged in; he had his paired. Then he plugged his set into his amp. What documentation there is touts that these units have an automatic 'channel hopping' feature which is supposed to alternate a paired set to another channel if interference is detected. Well all faith in that went out the window when his signal dropped out because my signal was over-riding his on his amp, while I was getting sputtering and drop-out on mine. We tried to power off, re-start and re-pair. No luck. The bottom line is that **multiple musician's playing on these in the same setting can't co-exist.** I'll keep mine for solo and studio, but I'm now forced to find an alternate system, perhaps in the 5.8 Ghz range.

    • @Shredberry
      @Shredberry  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh wow does that happen even y’all are on different channel?? Either way thank you for sharing that! I kinda expected that a budget wireless will have its limit. Especially when used in a live setting with either multiple of the same units or multiple other wireless systems. There are sooooo many other budget wireless on Amazon now many of them don’t run on the typical 2.4Ghz channel so that may have better luck!

    • @paularmstrong3395
      @paularmstrong3395 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Shredberry We are going to do some more testing the next time we're together. What I do know is that our attempts to change channels from the transmitter (the only way one can with these units) had no effect. The other learning point is that 2.4Ghz are very susceptible to interference from other 2.4s in the vicinity. For this reason, I bit the bullet for a set of 5.8Ghz Getaria GWS-26's. 5.8s are much less susceptible to interference, but require more line-of-sight between tx and rx. So now, we're on different frequencies that can't bump into each other. I still have my JW-03s for solo use.

    Just bought a pair. They work well for the price. I do notice the sound is not as good as a cable, but I won’t be recording with them. They also create hiss noise when active without the guitar volume on. It doesn’t make the noise with cables. Tried on three different amps. Turned off all wifi in house and any electrical in area. Has no impact. They still hiss.
    Don’t know if I got a bum set or not. Oh well. It’s just for noodling around the house. Wouldn’t turn up volume with that hiss. It’s not terrible just annoying.

    • @Shredberry
      @Shredberry  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Really??! Personally when I had i it never had any hiss or noises. And it sounded just as good as playing through a cable. If your retailer takes return/exchange, I'd exchange for a new one. It def shouldn't make noises.

  • @search895
    @search895 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    The jack not fitting all guitar designs is not a problem, we can always add a 5inch input to jack cable and put the transmitter in the guitar strap or something.
    What worries me is interferences in gear packed stages. Did someone experienced any?

    • @Shredberry
      @Shredberry  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Extension def works. Personally I'd prefer not needing ofc cuz that's more cable that'll dangle around unless you figure out where to secure it. That said, this design is very common amongst most Chinese made budget wireless and it fits most guitars.
      As far as interference in a packed stage, this wireless set does use a relatively common frequency (2.4GHz) so I've seen ppl here in the comment section mention it. I'd invest in a better wireless system, or at least fine one that's not 2.4GHz, if you plan on using it on a packed stage with loads of other wireless systems going.

    Just saw your review and had to point out something. You said latency increased as you got further away... sound takes time to travel, that is what you were hearing. Sound travels around 1000 feet per second so each foot you move away from your sound source adds 1ms. If you're 100 feet away you have 100ms added latency on top of the units inherent latency. Wireless units don't have increasing latency as you move away as the RF signals always travel at the speed of light, it's simply the delay you are hearing due to distance, just simple physics.

    Dźwięk jest czysty, nie zniekształcony. Porównywałem Joyo JW-03 z innymi "Chińczykami" i ten wypadł najlepiej. Oczywiście w tej kategorii cenowej. Inne nie dawały tak wiernego odtwarzania dźwięku i sustainu. Niestety, trafiłem egzemplarz z wadliwym przełącznikiem receivera on-of i musiałem zamówić drugi komplet, gdyż termin na zwrot tego wadliwego minął. 😢 Dlatego zaraz po zakupie należy sprawdzić zestaw, aby nie przespać terminu zwrotu i nie zostać z uszkodzonym sprzętem.

    I love that thing, but I don't feel confident moving to the other side of the stage because it will occasionally try to search for other signals and cut out a bit. My band has 2 guitars and a bassist and unfortunately only one person can use it at a time since we keep having problems with the receivers trying to search. Since the receiver doesn't have an option to switch channels

    • @Shredberry
      @Shredberry  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In theory, yes. Of course the two wireless sets need to be in different channels. I don't see why this won't work at home but in live setting you're exposed to twice the risk of signal issues lol but it's def worth trying tho cuz imagine the freedom you get XD

      @Shredberry  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there! Unfortunately I don't own the older models like JW-01 or 02 so I can't say from experience. What I can say with JW-03 is that I really don't hear any audio quality difference between using my Mogami cable and this wireless system (Ofc I'm not a sound engineer with trained ears in audio quality but I listen and play enough daily to have a pretty decent judgement xD) Theoretically speaking 24bit should sound better but there's only so much our ears can detect. When looking at other features and designs I personally would pick JW-03 without a doubt.

    Is it good for the Ibanez bass ?

    • @Shredberry
      @Shredberry  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ha that's the million dollar question as you can see in my video JW-03 does not completely fit my Ibanez SR Prestige. It reaches the input jack far enough to work but doesn't reach far enough to get fully inserted. So when you wiggle enough it the transmitter will fall out of the instrument. If your Ibanez bass has full exposed input jack I don't see why it won't work. Hope that helps! Cheers!

    which one is better, this one or the Nux B2 plus?

    • @Shredberry
      @Shredberry  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I never tried the NUX B2 Plus so I can't provide a fair assessment but their specs seem to be comparable. NUX offers 32bit audio quality compare to JOYO's 16bit it's better but I question how much of that difference is audible to human ears unless you're recording (but no one records seriously with wireless anyway lol). If price is not a concern, NUX seems to be a better bet (better design and offers some more functional that JOYO doesn't have) but JOYO's price is really hard to beat for what it offers! Hope that helps :D

    • @Shredberry
      @Shredberry  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Jorge thanks for your comment! I have not noticed any degradation in sound quality. In fact I even record some quick draft and what not on LPX and it sounds no difference than when I recorded when I used a Mogami cable. The only one time I notice quality issue was when the transmitter's battery was dying. Other than that there's no discernible quality difference from my experience.

    The only thing I don't like is to have that ugly thing sticking out of my guitar input jack on stage. Has anyone tried to use a short 2' guitar cord (with one female end - one male end) and plugging in the JW-03 into the female end so the transmitter can be mounted to your guitar strap instead of having it sticking out of the front of the guitar? Will the JW-03 still work properly setting it up this way so that you have a simple regular (short) guitar cord going from your axe to the transmitter on your (back) guitar strap?

    • @Shredberry
      @Shredberry  ปีที่แล้ว

      Haaaaaa I’ve thought the same for the longest time! These budget wireless have everything you need with the exception of appearance lol tho the JOYO one is a lot more tolerable but it’s still far from “looking good”. If you’re interested, watch my review on the BrianFay wireless BF-1. I talked about the design there but what you may find interesting is the extension cable you mentioned. I made a make shift one in that video for the wireless but BrianFay has one for sale! Cheers!

    • @MAINFRAME_band
      @MAINFRAME_band ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Shredberry Yes, I would think even using velcro would work since it's so light. I've done two gigs with the JOYO 3 so far. First gig the wireless system worked for about 30 minutes and it cut out and I switched back to a regular direct guitar cable. Second gig with it (yesterday) it worked but I noticed (as I did with my first trial gig with this system) a major decrease in volume of about 25% compared to using a high quality guitar cable and a more treble/dead battery sound with most of the low end dropping out. So again, I switched back to a cable after 15 minutes or so. Of course it was fully charged each time. In short, I won't be using this JOYO 3 system for any future live performances but I will play with it for band practices or just jamming with some friends to avoid tripping over cables. Too many highly overrated reviews of this unit. Cheers, Jerry

    Hi, thanks for the video. Did you experience a low volume/output when using jw-03? I bought one jw-03 recently and I found the sound output is very low, compared to use a wire. I tried passive and active pickup basses but all got the same result. Is it normal?

    • @Shredberry
      @Shredberry  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there! That's certainly odd. I personally did not experience volume/output change regardless of the instrument, passive or active. If you've tried changing the channel and made sure that both units are fully charged and there's still a large discrepancy I'd contact JOYO or if possible request a refund/exchange from wherever you bought it from. Hope that helps!
