      unless Holmes has some good bombshell inside info she's holding over him so that he stays away, i can't for the life of me imagine anything that would make me abandon my child like that, i mean, his father did that to him, my spidey senses tell me he's in her life, it's just kept way off the radar.

    Well I thought Tom Cruise was a lunatic when he tried to tell Brooke Shields she was ignorant for taking medication after she suffered from postpartum depression. Remember that interview with Matt Lauer? I'm not a fan of Matt Lauer's but in his defense, he was being logical and dealing with an illogical arrogant fool named Tom Cruise. Postpartum depression is real it is highly dangerous for the mother and her newborn if left untreated. I just didn't care for him I think he suffers from short man syndrome. Nicole Kidman can thank God everyday she escaped from him.

      Born on the 4th of July was a great role. His best performance in my opinion. One of Oliver Stone's best as well. Emotional and tragic. He definitely had to dig pretty deep for that one. An unsettling but important portrayal of the consequences of war. I thought he was good in Interview With the Vampire as well. He got to play more or less an unbridled over the top version of what is probably something close to his own over the top egomaniacal real personality and it worked perfectly in the context of the movie. But overall I agree with you. He stopped trying to be a real actor and take real chances years ago.

    • @Puffafish1
      @Puffafish1 ปีที่แล้ว +40

      Yes that is exactly what he does in every movie, does a few big stunts then onto some wooden acting then a few more stunts some people die the it's the end credits until the next movie with pretty much the same stuff just in a different place that's all.

    • @johnbull1568
      @johnbull1568 ปีที่แล้ว +34

      He definitely isn't playing himself in every role, and he is a very good movie actor. He was seen as a limited actor early in his career, then he did Born of the Fourth of July which changed peoples perspective of him. He was also very good in TAPS from what I recall.
      His characters in that movie, Rain Man, Edge of Tomorrow, Magnolia, Knight and Day and a bunch of other roles are very different. His most famous roles display his usual cocky charm, but he's definitely got some layers to his acting, and range when needed.
      Hamish is right about movie stars v actors though. The UK produces actors, and the US produces movie stars (for the most part, there are obviously exceptions). It's easy to spot the actors because they love doing stage work, and the movie stars avoid the stage because you don't get countless takes to get it right.
      What would have been really interesting to see is Cruise in the stage version of A Few Good Men, which it originally was, and his role was played by Tom Hulce on stage.

    Tom's fame further enables the entrapment, enticement of victims to be abused at the hands of others. Just because he isn't the one to do the abuse, doesn't mean he isn't criminally liable. And just because victims don't mind the abuse, doesn't legalise the crimes being committed. Scientology needs to be held legally liable, and outed as a criminal organisation. It should not be allowed to hide crimes under the umbrella of a religious organisation. It is best to argue from a criminal point of view. Because what Scientology does is basically entrapment , extortion and blackmail.

    To be honest the cult in that episode of the Simpsons overlaps several cults. It definitely gives some Scientology vibes, but also Heaven's Gate, Jonestown, the Moonies, etc. The uniforms at the beginning look somewhat Sea Org, but the robes later, in the fields, suggest something else. I can see a lot of different cult references in the episode, and that's probably why Nancy Cartwright didn't have to worry. Scientologists could pretend that it's not about them, especially since so many cults use the same tactics to establish and maintain control over members.

    The comment which asserted that it's offensive/incorrect to equate Xenu with Jesus makes a fair point. I am also an atheist but nevertheless there is a great deal of wisdom to be found in the story of Christ itself as well as the sayings and aphorisms associated with him. Regardless of ones spiritual beliefs or lack thereof the Bible has many things which can be extracted from it and applied in a secular context.
    Scientology, on the other hand, does not, by any means whatsoever.

    I wonder why Katie Holmes uses Cruise as her daughters last name. If she has full custody, they obviously are not any part of eachother’s life anymore (correct me if I’m wrong, does he have visitation rights with his daughter or are they 100% disconnected?) I am just curious why she kept his last name instead of giving Suri her own last name. So many questions…. Will she grow up wanting to know her dad? What if she tries to connect with him as a young adult? What will Tom Cruise do? And I feel so sad for Nicole Kidman being disconnected from her other children. Ugh.

      Probably on the birth certificate. Yes, she could change it, I guess. Maybe it's the only redeeming thing about TC is to have his last name.

      TC may not see his daughter, but that doesn’t mean he has no rights to do so. She may not be able to change Suri’s name because of TC. Or it may be part of the divorce settlement.

      The only saving grace for Nicole is that her kids were adopted. I don't know for sure but it might be slightly less painful to disconnect.

    • @katrose5179

      @@nancyjones6780 I…would highly doubt that. That’s rather an offensive implication, really. Adopted parents do not love their children less. That’s rather like saying, “well, she had another child that died, so it may be easier to disconnect from the living one”.

    • @roringusanda2837
      @roringusanda2837 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@katrose5179 you're assuming that she/they adopted them out of love, and from a desire to actually have children, instead of what was probably a career motivated decision...to "become parents". They seemed to not have any real affection for each other (Tom and her) and no sexual relationship at all. Purely a business arrangement.

    Hollyweird & Disney tried stopping the movie Sound of Freedom
    But when released on July 4th it went above and beyond all the movies at the theaters around the country
    Also boycotted Budweiser Target Ben and Jerry's Kardashians Ballenciago Hollyweird Disney etc
    It works!!

    The fact that Tom Cruise has totally ignored all the horrors Scientology is guilty of just to pursue his own personal development and reap the rewards of being in Scientology has led me to totally lose all interest in this man.
    I made a decision a long time ago to stop watching any new movie with Tom Cruise in and I have stuck to it.

    Question: I'm hearing a lot about Tom.. Thank you so much for your videos outting such abuse.
    I have no idea how scientology gets away with the abuse.
    Here in CA in a "REGULAR/ NORMAL" job, you can be sued for all the grievances there are.
    To be physically touched, it's hugely way illegal.
    I wonder if Tom has ever been sued for abuse in the workplace?
    Side note... What's happening on the LAPD SHELLY MISCAVGE Report? Is Leah gonna do her own youtube video on it?

      Tom is untouchable since he’s second in command in Scientology, and that is such a shame that now he’s not gotten into trouble and neither has that 70 show guy that got arrested. Hopefully he’ll get jail time to.
