Dominion Wars - Dominion Mission 1

This is the first mission of Dominion Axis. The mission briefing voiceover is made by Marc Alaimo, who play as Gul Dukat in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine series. I cut some of the voice briefing so that the video is less than 10 mins.

A fan made patch was recently released so you can play it on Vista and Windows 7 and fixes some of the bug issues.

I loved this game but it was bugged and woundn't work on my system after about 4 missions.

I believe there're still some people like it, but cannot find suitable hardware to play it. I recently bought an used 10' Japanese mini laptop (not netbook, it has a Combo drive but less than 1.3KG!) which has ATi radeon 7500 only to play DW.

That's odd. If you can play it, you should be able to finish all 20 missions of both campaign. Never heard of dw stop working during middle of campaign. Could you post your dw version? it's a small number located at right bottom corner of main screen.

Why is it this game only works on really shitty equipment? lol I LOVED this game, and would KILL to have it back.

I would like to help if you can find these games somewhere. Armada, SFC2, DW are good games, but Lagacy is just another disaster for me.

if ur wondering this game was rly ambitiously bad. but it was ambitious for what it was...it was a weird game. Like i tried reallly hard to do everything and they just forsook basic combat and teh point of everything. YOu can do stupidly cool maneuovers but its pointless to do them. its best to just line ur ships and fire with ur front weapons....otherwise ur enemy can fire with back and front phasers at you if you do cool meaneovers. so jem hadar ships in particular, they had their main phaser, but this was actually weaker than their rear attack which was a torpedo. It was just so dumb there was really no point to flanking an enemy if it means they can fire both front and back. it made more sense just to attack from the front cause they they can only hit 1 of u at at ime. it was funny warp speeding into an enemy ship tho and blowing half it up at the cost of some shitty ship. cardassian hutlets were the most poewrful ship by far. alot of the class 5 ships were very underpowered. the galaxy class was worse than the lvl 4 class lol. The same went for most of the races tho, their lvl 4 class was stronger than their lvl 5 class. it made no sense at all. the cardassian hutlet was the most powerful ship by far, because of its torpedo spam.

@yochenhsieh Love to but unfortunately I lost the game somewhere in moving. I always had horrible luck with the Star Trek Games. This game, Armada, Starfleet Command vol 2, Legacy etc. They just didn't seem to want to run on my system. They'd always crash. I never have played any of them through from start to finish.

Yeah there is a history of horrible problems with this game - it's even listed in Wikipedia.
