Gus and Sus go diving together
😂
by Gus ruleset or by Sus ruleset ? :-D
Gus ruleset of course
@@nerodcs3087 The only rule Sus has is that there are no rules
The diving equivalent of Galant and Goofus.
can we appreciate the fact that Sus is wearing a dutch cycling suit as a wetsuit
I've never known of any non-fictional character that is as interesting as Sus. He seems like someone you'd have in some bizarre and surreal comedy but he just exists here... In this world.
holy shit, i just got there. i hope Sus doesn't die, he's too damn funny.
I'm convinced that after WW3 the only things that will be left are Twinkies, cockroaches, and Sus.
🤣🤣🤣
Sus will be here after all life has perished, after Andromeda collides with our galaxy, and after our sun dies.
With enough time, Sus will be all that remains after the death of our universe. Perhaps he will even be there for the birth of a new one.
3WW will be final.. We are all dead after that..
I’d imagine Sus will collapse into a black hole and absorb and emit radiation at one point
Woody: "ok good he's not using a fishbowl with a hand pump for air"
Gus: "he's now using a rebreather"
Woody: 👁️ 👄 👁️
"If water gets in it, it will become a bomb"
I love the progress. They can safely dive in chernobyl again with this hunk of a kit 😅
To Atlantis and beyond!
Why is a rebreather a bad idea?
@@paaaatrika The one Sus used in the video is a chemical rebreather. Its meant for highly hazardous chemical zones, not diving. It works because a chemical block in the cartridge reacts with CO2 and produces O2. This chemical block also combusts in contact with water, in other words Sus was using a bomb to breathe.
The design of their rig looks like a classic Soviet IDA-71 or IDA-76 rebeather. They said the canister was from the 90's but this design was from the early 70's and was used in the Soviet military by "frogmen."
It's a primitive system with no bouyancy aid, but has the oxygen cylinder, two canisters of sorb, and an optional external Nitrox cylinder which can be clipped on its outside to convert it to nitrox mode. In Nitrox mode, the system converts between nitrox and oxygen automatically by a pressure activated valve on the nitrox attachment. (No dive computer)
It can be run with one of its two absorbent canisters filled with potassium superoxide, which gives off oxygen as it absorbs carbon dioxide. In this mode the oxygen cylinder is a bailout. This mode gives the set more duration underwater, but is dangerous and not to be risked by civilians because of the explosively hot reaction that happens if water gets on the potassium superoxide. Yikes!
It's a really interesting piece of vintage diving tech that you can still find for sale for about $800 or more. But I wouldn't recommend actually diving with it!
Thank you 😊
fun fact that it still works=)
@@sergiichernomaz3000 Soviet technology! ;)
Actually it isn’t rebreather. It’s IP-5 gas mask usually used by Soviet and Russian tank forces. It’s main purpose is to protect people from chemical weapons, but it can be also used to dive down to 7 meters
@@rleto02 No, I clearly said what it was and provided the midel nunbers. Believe what you want...
"Great, he's permanently locking him into the drowning mechanism." That one got me.
This is why I initially subscribed!🤩 Also nobody mentions that he is diving in a racing bicycle suit for speed performance 😄
😂 I noticed that too!
😂😂😂
xDDDDDDDDDDDD
"This guy again" That guy is the reason I discovered your channel, from the first reaction video.
Being barefoot in this environment gave me so much anxiety 😟
Even worse than the “apparatus”
Me too!
What do you mean "in this environment?" This seems like a perfectly reasonable, normal place to go barefoot.. in fact, most people go barefoot when treading through water, and/or around said body of water / lakefront area.. am I missing something?
Edit: holy shit, no, no, never mind, he's actually barefoot INSIDE the fucking place...okay, I take that back, you're 100% correct, that's absolutely ridiculous. I don't know why I didn't initially process that you could be talking about them doing so INSIDE that place, rather than when they were simply outside😖Yeah. That's good way to really mess up your feet. Sus is a madman
@@ldawg7117this is nothing, Ive seen Sus crawl through half flooded tunnels full of jagged metal wearing nothing but his underwear.
@@aceambling7685 I have too, now lol. Dudes a maniac and I love it. I've always prided myself in doing shit most people wouldn't do, especially when I was younger. He makes me look like a agoraphobic coward, by comparison
These guys are incredible! Definitely crazy, but I have respect for the bravery of Sus. He is living without fear, which will probably unalive him one day, he’s certainly balls to the wall.
Brave isn’t living without fear. That is in fact stupidity
“Bravery” and “lack of understanding of the danger of the circumstances” are not the same thing lol
I don’t have respect for “ living enjoy great” when it involves this sort of thing. This isn’t living without fear, this is living with incredible stupidity.
* living without fear
Is this not a BDSM device?
OK, if this hasn't been suggested yet, you guys are welcome to use this video idea. You guys have got to meet these guys and train them for open water scuba. That video alone should be beyond entertaining!
Lol we cannot jeopardize Gus and Woody in anything other than a kiddie pool with these guys!
this is honestly the best suggestion I've seen involving these guys but I think Dive talk's earlier statement still stands. They could teach them how to dive to the core of the Earth if they wanted to but that would only embolden them more into doing some even super pros like Doug would never do. And god forbid they actually succeed with Chernobyl and suddenly come face-to-face with the Elephant's Foot or something as bad.
With great powers comes great responsibility. I don't think Sus is responsible enough .
As others suggested if they get trained; knowing the kind of dangerous stunts they do; they will probably go to more dangerous dives with the illusion that they're experienced enough that jeopardize them .
I don't think I want those guys to get trained! Can you imagine what kind of danger they'd get into if they were actually capable of submerging for more than a few minutes?
Right?! That would be an amazing video
Sus is the foremost exploded nuclear reactor/ plant diver in the world. Its wonderful to have someone so esteemed back on the channel! If anyone can tackle the first communist dictator bunker diving certification its Sus. We're lucky to have him though I expect it won't be for long. 😬
Hes fine hes been doing it for decades, I'd say the radiation is helping preserve him at this point.
(gonna say since he spends most of his cave diving being in sewers or flooding water cisterns I don't think it will be the radiation that will get him)
calling stalin a communist is uncalled for if your gunna be uneducated go be uneducated somewhere else i dont want stalin associated with me your like the people who say "we Americans" when talking about some psycho january 6th type shi like dont wrap me in with other people cause your uneducated
idk hes been doing wild things like this for like a decade that ive heard of at least if hes went this long i think we will still get a lot more years of sus i wouldnt be surpised if he out lives some of the people saying hes gonna die early this was more of a show then anything they didnt go a single foot below the water as sus said it hurt his ears and also i doubt there a bunker attached to that machine gun nest or it more looks for hunting birds now that it prob got some c4 for breakfest its all wonky maybe it did line up better before and if it was attached to some bunker then its prob not anymore it looks to be off by like 40% theres no way it still connects to under water tunnels
Was his face melted like that before the reactor?
At one stage in the Cold War era I actually had a similar piece of kit for use in NBC conditions in my aircraft (google AR5 Respirator). It did actually have an anti-drowning valve and we did have to do pool drills in it. Putting your head into that sealed rubber bag felt very creepy!
@@timgosling6189 wow so your almost 100 years old then. Props to you
@@sethsnow796 It was 40+ years ago, but that doesn't make me 100!
Who needs dive lights when you have your own built-in radioactive glow. These guys are nuts, entertaining, but full blown Cuckoo. Hope they stay safe.
When I first became interested in rebreather diving, the sticker shock really bummed me out. Then I found someone selling one of these old soviet rebreathers for like 800$ "unused" so I was like, what's wrong with these that they're all priced under a grand but day that they work. Apparently they work by having little pellets that when activated produce pure oxygen to breath but because of some chemistry that I don't fully understand, if they're stored wrong it'll just start producing oxygen AND some other gas on its own. They said there was a collector a few years ago who had one of these that blew up his garage where he kept it. It's my understanding that they were more of a bailout system for vehicle crews than anything that was ever meant for operational use.
Thank you 👍
I remember reading about some guy on 4chan's /k/ board who was asking questions about diving with this rebreather. He was warned about the risk of it combusting in contact with water. He was told they were for Chemical Crews. Makes sense because Gas Mask filters can only handle so much contamination, too high level contaminate it can get through, and things like Carbon Monoxide require special filters. So you make it an SCBA and boom problem solved. It is believed Anon from 4chan who was asking about the item ended up getting the thing wet, died and set a forest on fire around his intended dive site.
Well, they had an effective and simple checklist:
"Are you sure?"
"I am !"
🤣
The funniest part about this is how, as far as i can tell, the mask was completely unnecessary. Maybe they planned on going deeper but changed their minds? The entrance wasnt even fully submerged. Still a wildly entertaining video and really interesting piece of kit!
It's clear they're just making clickbait, much like "diving under the reactor" in Chernobyl, that was nowhere near a reactor & nowhere near diving. At least it greatly reduces the risk vs what they misleadingly imply they're going to do.
@@DoubleMonoLR yes they click bait, as all youtubers do, but they were actually at reactor 5 which is just a 8 minute drive from reactor 4 (the one that melted) so I wouldn't be saying they were "no way near"
Love that Sus is wearing an old cycling shirt from a Dutch amateur cyclingteam called “RTC De Hoeksche Renners”, from Puttershoek in South Holland hahah😂
maybe he isnt russian after all
I can’t get past the first two minutes. Woody’s facial expressions and comments are gold. I’m surprised Sus is still alive and all and doesn’t have a third ear
Is it me or Sus didn't look as sure this time? I really hope they are not influencing him for views
(Im way too invested lol)
Hes fine, its normally him making the others worried in dangerous situations of his doing, so fairs fair. Recent vids I'm more worried for him incase hes slipped back into drug use, one of his usual tag alongs has become an alcoholic again because of the war.
@@poppymason-smith1051 shit situation entirely, unfortunately…
I hope sus is alright, all this radiation and stuff-
Hes not drunk enough, thas why hes nervous
I actually learned about similar devices recently, they were the first methods of attempts at submarine emergency escape. They werent terribly effective due to the depths involved most of the time, but the system itself is pretty solid in its concept.
The US eventually made one that was a whole survival suit, with supplies and all kinds of extras, very cool stuff for the time and purpose
WTF?!! You mean I just spent all this time and money and training and I could have just spent $200 at an Army Surplus?!!!
😂😂😂
Not even $200, those things are like fifty to sixty bucks lol.
@@Insanabiliter_In_Linea😯😵💫😳
please tell me Sus does this for views and not for actual diving. lord help me 😭😩
@malloryoates8580 personally, I would love to get Sus to the Dive Talk Meet Up and and get home OWD certified if he's not already :)
That system is used to escape a tank when you put a snorkel on the Commander's hatch and Forge a river if the tank gets stuck in floods that allows the driver and crew to swim out it only lasts like 15 minutes max it burns chemicals to produce oxygen
I'm not a diver, never will be, yet I discovered this channel yesterday and am already hooked! I'm binge watching your videos and it's such a treat to see a new upload, looking forward to your videos :D
Same, I don't know what compelled me to start watching but these videos are so good. I know a *lot* about diving now though!
Oh no not these guys 😂 I haven’t watched this yet but I can already tell it’s gonna be ridiculous 😂
Those goggles look like something a horse would wear so they can't see traffic going by when they are being transported in a trailer
Ha!
I love these guys! They are absolutely insane, but they are hysterical.... 🤣🤣
"There are so many sausages in the world you haven't tried, so it makes sense to keep on living."
I'm just glad we can breath easy, knowing that there are too many sausages left in the world untasted, for them to risk death. Whew! 🤣🤣🤣
Oh my goodness, I love these early morning laughs. Thank you Gus and Woody so much! Btw Gus, you look great!
Always the most excited when I see a new post from Dive Talk! You guys should definitely go diving with them and teach them a few things
That looks like the Russian version of an Oxygen Breathing Apparatus (OBA) that was used on US Navy Ships for firefighting and damage control. It isn't so sensitive to water. But you don't want to expose it to oil, fuel, or other petroleum materials. It is NOT made for use underwater. It is a chemical reaction, and it does get HOT. "The scrubber canister uses potassium superoxide as both a carbon dioxide absorbent and as an oxygen source. A sodium chlorate oxygen candle in the base of the unit generates oxygen on start-up as the canister has to reach a high internal temperature before it will start generating oxygen." BTW... This looks like the Russian version of that show "Jackass." 🤣🤣🤣
I lost it at drowning mechanism!! This is great. By the way how much weight has Gus lost? Great job man.
Gotta love a superoxide rebreather. Such a wonder diving invention.
Yes!! I love the idea of you guys diving together. Maybe you can influence him to be safer.
2:51 this guy is living his best life 😎
Was having a rough morning, listened to this and immediately started cracking up. Much needed, thanks guys.
I just saw this yesterday and i wanted to send it to you jajaja. Keep doing videos guys you are awesome.
Quality as always. Would love to see you guys train and dive with Sus. Also looking trim Gus, keep it up
Gus and Woody your videos inspired me in a major way to peruse diving.
Just wait till you guys have millions of subscribers and can afford to dive FULL TIME! I really see you guys just continuing to grow! The stories have been entertaining and educational. And showing diving is beautiful and doesn’t have to be scary if done properly it is very safe.
I don’t dive but I got into your content watching your reaction to these Ukrainian TH-camrs in Chernobyl trying to dive in the water there. It’s one of the best series I’ve watched on TH-cam you guys have an awesome friendship and awesome personality Thanks for the content and advising people on safe diving practices a wise person learns from other peoples mistakes and edification! Also Gus grats on your weight loss looking so much healthier and younger
Gus's laugh cracks me up everytime.
WOW! I Love these folks. Insane. Thank you for this DIVE TALK!
Oh wow Gus i haven’t watched for awhile, you look like a new man!! That’s incredible Brotha now you can get through the squeezes no problem!
“Ventilation “? Lmao that’s a pill box bro. A shooting port
Sus is a legend! Gus has a nice T-shirt by the way
Finally catching up on some backlog DiveTalk. Holy crap these guys are insane. I watched the series on their nuclear plant dives and that was crazy too but this is crazy on a different level all over again 🤣
Awesome to see you in such great shape Gus! Keep it up! Long time sub, been away from the channel for a bit. Dramatic difference.......way to go bud! Keep it going!
Sus is a legend 💙
I don’t scuba dive and seeing some of your videos definitely makes never want to, but at the same time I love your Channel and content. I find it very interesting and entertaining as well. Stay safe and keep the videos coming. I’d love to see any videos of you guys diving also. Cheers!
Love me some DiveTalk in the morning!
In the Navy, we used something very very similar, for fire-fighting. The unit was called an OBA (Oxygen Breathing Apparatus), it was a chemical reaction from the moisture of your exhaled breath, making contact with (I think some kind of copper), that would react with the carbon, and released oxygen to be inhaled. You had two hoses, valved in such a way, where one was for the 'inhale' the other for the exhale. It produced a lot of heat, and yes, it could explode if water got inside. The 'canister' was good for about 20-30 minutes, depending on your level of breathing/exertion.
The 'smell' Sus experienced, is that chemical reaction. A mild 'smoke' which usually goes away after the first minute or so. The air is hot, and is being cooled by the 'lung' around his neck, otherwise, it would burn his lungs. I just cannot believe these guys are trying to use this, I think they were much better off with the fishing bowl, and weights, while wrapping themselves in plastic.

love you guys so much! always make me laugh when i watch ur lighthearted content 😂
OMG... I needed some Sus this morning LMAO. This is starting to look like a horror movie! Gus, I don't know where you find these videos but thank you!
I believe that he is immortal 😂
Great video, always nice to see you guys in your finest garb! Sus gives me anxiety but I can't look away 😂
Omfg. It's been a while and this. THIS. Is the perfect thing for me to come back to my two favourite divers reacting to. ♡
I gotta say I found these guys from your original video and have enjoyed them ever since. They're actually super good dudes. They regularly do humanitarian streams on one of their channels for citizens of their country (Ukraine). Plus, they're also crazy as can be so 😂
Also, those definitely have asbestos. Like guaranteed.
I am so happy that you that y'all are reviewing these guys video it's so awesome made my day to see this posted
"There are many sausages in the world that you haven't tried." 💀💀💀
Looking good Gus, I haven’t watched the channel in a while maybe it’s the lighting or the cut but you are glowing in this video!
Probably the lighting...welcome back!
"did you test it?"
"no!"
you guys look amazing!!! i’m so proud to see you guys doing amazing and looking good happy new years ♥️
Zeus is just insane
"This thing will explode? - Okay, let's do it"
10:55 It's an IP-5 rebreather gas mask, that's the model name. I looked it up to be sure and it is actually meant to function underwater also. No clue what depth it's rated for, but I doubt it's meant for anything greater than a few feet, which I guess they're aware of because they barely go under the water with it. It being so old is probably the most unsafe aspect of what they're doing, those things do have an expiration date and it's long past.
This is the content people demand
8:48
"Did you test it..?
"No :)"
The text to speech is fucking hilarious 🤣🤣🤣
I just watched the reactor vids and mostly just happy to see Sus and even with all his hair. I was actually worried when he never showed back up.
PLEASE GO DIVE WITH THESE MAD MEN!! You two have extensive diving backgrounds and I believe you both we're and are able to teach, maybe you guys can experience some excitement and they can gain some safety lol! DO IT~~
This reminds me of dubbed Kung Fu movies back in the day. This is literally the 2023 modern day equivalent. I love it 😂❤
The voice over is the cherry on top! Lol
“permanently locking him into the drowning mechanism” - exactly my thought
Woody's hat is inkredible!
I died laughing when the translation said "the drone senses danger, that's why we send Sus in instead". Lol just send the chap in like he's just as expendable as the drone lmao.
Absolutely love when you guys react to Sus.
Woody: "Permanently locking him into the drowning mechanism "!! Love it.
Okay I just watched it, and why did he wear the old rebreather 😂 there was no point to it 😂😂
You guys led me to Super Sus and i am ever so grateful! The adventures he and his buddies go on make me smile! I hope you can do an interview with him and the gang someday. In person interview, no video call.
Sus has been in the radioactive zone for far too long 😂
Gus looking really healthy in this thumbnail
Eh i wouldn't take these guys too seriously, I doubt they had any intention of actually trying to properly dive with this kind of gear, just like they never had any intention of actually getting into the Chernobyl sarcophagus, that's why they always stuck to the safe but still interesting parts of the exclusion zone. Its basically Urbex, but with a story and narrative for added spice.
Even this "bunker" seems like it's just a pillbox. They usually don't really go down into the earth that much, it's just a little concrete hut. So i doubt there was much more to see there.
Kreosan used to do a lot more "normal" experiment/science/diy type of content on his channel, so im sure at least he is very aware of the things that can go wrong with these stunts.
Gus.. don't think we are not noticing you losing weight.. well done sir!
Looks like they use superoxide in the scrubber which reacts violently upon contact with water 😮
Started watching these guys channel's and yours when i found the diving in chernobyl videos 😂. Been waiting for you guys to do another
I JOKINGLY thought “he’s gonna have a rebreather” and when he said it my eyes went just as wide! Like “WHAT REALLY?!” lol
Favorite episode ever. Had me laughing like a crazy person in my room LOL
Those guys are really testing out fate and their durability 😅 great reactions
Gus is losing weight! Good shit, Gus!👍
Couple of notes here
1. I couldn't walk on a sand beach or rocky landscape to get in the water let alone a concrete tetnis and glass bottle infested building without my feet hurting.
2. I would feel very exposed in a suit like that. There is little to no comfort my body is protected from whatever lurks in that water compared to what you guys where.
3. Happy to see you both reacting to this. Things like this shouldn't happen as they are literally walking on a thin tightrope of death
Sus is a legend. Ive been watching him and the other guys occasionally since you showed us the fishbowl dived
Wow Gus! You look like a new man 👌
They are doing copy right violation of the KISS mini.. 😅😅
Guys I would be overjoyed if you went diving with this madman. That is, if you think your blood pressure could take it!
18:18 You have to remember/realize this bunker/"pill box" is from days of Stalin and times of war, yeah no ones mounting machine guns in there now to shoot but its what it WAS for some 80 to 100 years ago
Ozone smells like thunderstorms. Lightning creates it, yes it has a smell.
You guys have to invite them on a real dive 😂😂
"The drone can tell it's dangerous so it doesn't want to go there, that's why Sus will go there." 💀
"another gimp chillin" lmao you guys are the best.
So glad you have another Sus-tastic Diving adventure episode!
Had never even considered wanting to try cave diving until watching you guys seems a lot “less” scary knowing there is a correct and checked way of doing things. Not that it gets rid of the risk of course! No way without the Training tho! Good job guys🎉
It is definitely less scary during and after training.
Gus and Woody may be laughing but the diving experience & trainers inside them is really worried
"they are insane" sais the guy with an octopus on his head. Lol :P
