Thanks for watching guys!! Next episode is here: th-cam.com/video/sGCnMb5Pi9Q/w-d-xo.html
This was one of most entertaining/engaging travel videos I ever watched. Your channel is real gem, hope it grows more and more . Safe trip 🌸
Thank you so much, really means a lot! ❤️
I love how much more context you gave about the day to day life with the cops. Props for riding while being sick on the second week, you're a beast 🙌🏼 proud of u
Mr. policeman using the bathroom and running in the background was my favourite. Still laughing about it. 😅🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂
See it like this, you’re getting a diplomatic escort like a VIP or Statesmen 😂.
True😂😂😂
*_You have amazing story telling and editing skills. The upbeat sounds on the happy moments, and the moody sounds on low moments really got me immersed in the whole story. Can't wait for what's ahead in your adventure to cycle up/down the rest of Egypt and the rest of Africa!_*
Thank you! Lots of epic stories to come 🥰🙏🏼
@@FlorenceRyan Yay! 👍
Such epic storytelling. I was invested the whole way through!! Can't wait for part 2!!!
Thanks Riza ❤️ coming from you it means a lot!!
Wauw it’s just unimaginable how this much can happen in such a short amount of time😍 The chaos, the beauty, the highs and the lows. And im so happy that i could have a part in it, a blessing from above!
Yes we lived sooo much! So happy you came along thanks for saying yes to this crazy adventure ❤️
Well, I know this is my country, and I hope it gets better, but each country has its own and unknown reasons, and we must respect them. Madam, this is not the complete map of Egypt.😊
Excellent comment
The storytelling, the soundtracks and just the overall editing of this video is commendable!😍 The cat and mouse chase was hilarious 😂😂
Thank you!! I wanted it to feel the way i felt in the moment and the chase was hilarious indeed 😂❤️
you're an incredible videomaker. and in my opinion that is the highest form of storytelling. although i'm older than you i want to be like you one day.
thank you, this means a lot ❤️
Cant wait to watch the rest of the trip
Sooon 🥰
About your comment of "you guys are foreigners, you should follow the rules": from what you've said, you are following the rules! If it's not illegal to cycle down to Aswan and you don't need a permit, you don't seem to be breaking any rules. Love the determination to keep cycling no matter what
Flo! Watched every single second of it - invested into the journey the whole time, inspired by all of you guys pushing through!! Excited for Part 2!
Thanks Ziad!! So happy you enjoyed, stay tuned I’m working on the next ones
I'm so glad I just found your channel! What an epic adventure to follow along with. And your filmmaking is amazing as well
Tim looks like a cartoon character 🤣
i remember watching "from cape to cairo" and he had big troubles in egypt.
good job making the best of it, and good job on the video. much enjoyed.
Yes! It’s a common struggle for cyclists 😅
Loved this vlog to bits, this is what i call an adventure! You've been through so much with constant ups and downs, but you still keep riding. Now at least you have loads of new riding buddies 😂🚨
You got this Flo, cheering for you!🎉👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you so much WAS!! ❤️
Oh my god , Egyptian Cops always behaving like this 😂,
Sorry for that , we are waiting for you in Alexandria, Egypt
The atmosphere is incredibly different, I have really enjoyed this.
Thanks!
I just discovered Rob’s channel and met you on his channel. Now im watching all your videos. Love your content. You are a great storyteller. I wonder why Rob haven’t post anything in 10 months. I hope he is ok. Keep sharing your adventures around the world. New fan 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
All your efforts turned into such a great video!❤❤
Thank you 🥰🥰
So well edited! Looking forward to the rest of the series :)
Thank you, you’re in for a treat haha it gets crazy❤️
@@FlorenceRyan luckily once you pass the equator things chill out a lot until South Africa, so not too long to go!
Didn't believe the title until I watched. Sharef really helped you guy. The military leaders seems paranoid.
Congrats on the video, showing the real nature of Sisi's regime, while putting Egyptians and the population on the foreground.
Keep up the good work and stay safe !
I really loved your video, best editing and I appreciate the classical music. All the best
Thank you so much 🙂
This was so much fun to watch!! Props to you guys and thanks for showing us a new side of Egypt. Definitely been learning alot from you guys. Keep it up!! 🤗
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching 🥰
I've been waiting for you to upload another part of the cycling series
My laptop broke in Sudan so I haven’t been able to edit and post for the past few months!! Back in the game now💪🏼 thanks for your patience ❤️
Nice video, Flo! It looked very challenging.
It was! But so worth it 😂
Somehow i understand the police not wanting to be responsible for tourists stupid ideas that may but them in danger. But i understand that tourists don't want to feel like small kids
I am Abdel Rahman from Egypt, and I enjoy your presence in my country, and I hope to see more of your video
Thank you! More coming soon!
I'm really appreciative of all the beautiful farms you showed us before the police made you take the main roads ❤
btw, Egypt will never replace farmlands for development reasons, Sherif was super wrong about it. All action takes place in the desert in newly reclaimed farmlands, supported by new highways, roads, and railroads. Old farmlands along the Nile is so precious that no one ever would even think of replacing them.
Your editing and storytelling skills are amazing!
Thank you so much!!
Wow😂! You guys are real daredevils! It takes a lot of courage to conquer such an adventurous ride. Kudos to you for following your passion and making it happen. Keep inspiring everyone around you with your amazing feats.🙌😂
After watching all the episodes in Rob’s channel now I’m lovin your videos 😃
Glad you like them! Bit different right?
Love from Assam.... Happy to see you again
Thank you so much 😀
This episode is hilarious. I loved the way how you brought the subject in a funny and smooth way, and the storytelling Flo, y’a salaaaaam
That is an amazing video! Thank you for showing your trip in such a great way :)
Glad you enjoyed it! 🥰
Well that's it, I'm in love with cycling.
I'll be starting to practice tonight, hopefully I can do a road trip within a few months.
Thank you so much for this video, I spent a few months in Egypt, but I'm seeing a whole different perspective here. Well besides for the police, that's something my eyes were not enlightened to unfortunately :)
This comment makes me happy. I didn’t know this mode of travel before either, and I’m happy you resonate with it. It’s magical! Keep me posted with your travel plans I’d love to hear more ❤️
@@FlorenceRyan lol. Just biked 12 miles to GW Bridge and back, total of about 25 miles in just under 2 hours. The last mile or so before the bridge has a very steep incline, thought I was going to die (and I didn't bring any water with me...), but alast I made it and couldn't be happier.
Haven't biked at all in a bunch of years and before that was just as a kid in the neighborhood, never done any real biking before and didn't think I could do this, but somehow I managed, it was truly magical.
Thank you so much for the inspiration!
I'm going back to the middle east soon, I'm thinking that I'll try to find a smallish county that I can bike across (off my head thinking about Jordan, but obviously not yet sure how practical it is).
@@FlorenceRyan#Update did the same trip tonight but went over the bridge (plus 5 miles)🤣
I'm completely dead and it'll probably be my last time doing this, as I'm traveling this weekend and leaving the country immediately afterwards.
Anyway thanks again for the inspiration, hopefully I'll take this 'knowledge' to the road very soon :)
Go to Lebanon! small enough to bike across in a week :)
@@FlorenceRyan so funny you'll mention that one, for a long time my dream was to go to Lebanon! Didn't think biking will work in Lebanon due to the mountains and stuff thought I'd have to hike mount Lebanon, but obviously there more to the country than just that, and now that you mention it I'll definitely look into it. Honestly I'll probably go in around 3 weeks time...
So nice of you to respond to all these messages, thanks a million for this and everything!
Diese Videoreihe ist so episch und spanndend. Ich hoffe sehr, dein Kanal bekommt dadurch mehr Aufmerksamkeit! ❤ Viel Kraft für die kommenden Kilometer!
Vielen Dank!! ❤️🙏🏼
Nice contents , love watching every minutes of it , you got a new subscriber , 👍❤️🇦🇺.
Thanks, welcome aboard!
Amazing video Florence l loved It and watched it till the end, by the way, I am Egyptian and very sorry for the bad situation that you faced because of the Police unfortunately we as Egyptians go through the same bad things because of the bad system here.
hope you nice journey into Africa and I hope it will be SAFE but not very safe as Egypt :)
btw we wanna a Q&A video We wanna get to know you more
Génial ! J'espère que tout se passe bien pour vous. Un vrai plaisir de suivre vos aventures, merci !
Merci Franz! Hâte de passer aux pays suivants et partager mon experience dans les montages Simien 😉
What you did is a great thing, but you should have asked the people of the country you intend to visit by bicycle, and by the way, this matter is very easy on social media, in order to avoid what happened to you from the policemen who in turn protect you and keep you safe 🎉🎉
We are proud of our second country, Egypt 🇪🇬
Thank you
storytelling in this episode goes so hard!!! felt the annoyance of the police following you as if they were following me!! love the shots of you talking to us while you're cycling, feels like we're on facetime
Actually Egypt is one of the most safest countries in the world and Egyptian people they are mostly so nice but the only Dangerous Thing in Egypt is the police in most of countries in the world if you see the police you will feel safe except Egypt because when you see the police this means you will be in trouble or they will create trouble for you so the police is the most dangerous thing in Egypt
People cycle to feel free but this is the exact opposite. I sometimes wonder if these officers have brains.
😂
Logic was assassinated
I hope that other countries will be respected. They do that for security reasons. They know their country and how they deal in it to maintain security and safety!🤬
7:03 policemen ensuring your safety by "protecting" you from the vicious danger that is a little kid coming up to say hi
Yup
Yout resilience is inspirational. Thank you. I do not know how you will cross into Sudan with the war raging in the capital.
Thank you! I already crossed Sudan 😉
That was excellent, thankyou
Thanks for watching as always!❤️
You have a very special energy, full of so much happiness, thankyou ,
Incredible story telling 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Thanks Qamili !!
I’m an Egyptian and I am deeply sorry from what you have seen from the police in Egypt

Thank you for the drone shots!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
❤❤❤
Proud of you peeps
Thankss
I LOVE YOUR STORY GUYS! I admire it! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you!!
It was frustrating for me to see you guys came to Asyut and stayed in a hotel, and I a, on couchsurfing hosting people!!
Use CS guys instead of these expensive hotels ... make ur trip more rich with experiences and more adventurous
@@amrabdelgayed the police forced us in the hotels. Many times we had hosts and they said it’s not safe. I’ve heard stories of the hosts getting in trouble if they welcome foreigners and the police finds out too
@@FlorenceRyan Troubles. Yes, you can see that even on my recommendations that I received from visitors, but eventually I was able to manage them. My guess (they are saying that mostly for their comfortable) cuz they usually put security under the host property where u staying for your safety guys 😁 ... By the end, I wish u could try sending me a couchsurfing request 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️ I could have Ben super happy 😃
Thanks for the video. Made my day. Looking forward for the journey ahead.
Glad you enjoyed it! Have a nice day 😊
This should have another series..
Check out my channel, I have 2 other videos of Egypt 😊 Also there’s 2 more Egypt episodes coming very soon
@@FlorenceRyan oh okay..just to let you know before incase if pass by Ethiopia you are going to be escorted by a lot of kid runners, so don't be bored and be ready 😉
😂😂😂 th-cam.com/video/JVm0oeMWQh4/w-d-xo.html when Sherif remarks that he is super important, with the "joint?" between his fingers 🤣🤣🤣
It’s a toothpick 😂😂 we all had one
As Egyptian, this is so embarrassing ngl
😂 Really nice presentation, Flo 👍
Thank you! 😁
Poor Egypt; killing it's tourism by this attitude. We love travel and will never go to Egypt again having had a very similar experience.
Amazing. And ridiculous (the police attitude that is). One of your best films. Well done for managing to deal with all of this. It's a great shame that the police there are actually being so counter productive towards the country...
Take a look at Ed Pratts tandem film where he shows the gear he uses for filming on a bike. You may not be able to rig it up the same but it might make things easier if you could fashion some sort of arm to hold a camera.
Safe travels
You made me subscribe because of those policemen 😂😂😂 but hey, take care, and I wanna see you guys keep pedaling ❤
ممكن حد يدايق او يزعل من معاملة الشرطة للسياح الأجانب لاكن من غير كدا السياحة هتتضرب عندناا توفير الأمن لملايين الزوار سنويا مهمه مش سهله ابدأ..
Welcome to Egypt ❤
And where are the italians now? I’m curious to hear about their side of the experience. Did they get caught by the police too?
They only had about a week so they left Egypt :) but yes they did get caught / escorted by the police too. Just didn’t turn it into a video game like we did haha
Love you guys and love what you’re doing ❤❤❤
Miss you Abdallah! ❤️❤️
اتمني تكون زيارة سعيدة في بلدنا❤🇪🇬
اعتقد الشرطه تتبعكم للحمايه فقط لانكم تذهبون لاماكن غير مخصصه للسياحه
That’s exactly what I said in the video
@@FlorenceRyan Yes, a great video. You are a nice group..and we hope that the trip will be good for you
@@FlorenceRyanwhat you said upsets what you showing, the police were protected you from all the crazy things that they know and you don't, you should be thankful for what they did.
Have a nice time there
Come to iraq 🇮🇶 it’s are totally safety to drive people also friendly and hospitality 🤗
How did you learn Arabic ?
By practicing 😊
الشرطه المصريه لازم تبطل مرافقه السياح ده بيدي انطباع في منتهى السوء عن حالة الامن والامان بمصر ايها الاذكياء
I wish I have time to be part of this journey 😢
InshAllah! We’re still on the road for a long time so you’ll make it 🙏🏼
What police are doing watching you is insane. However, if you come to different country you should obey the rules. They wouldn’t do that what they are doing unless theres a reason for it
You clearly didn’t watch the whole video 😂
@@FlorenceRyan I watched two of your videos, but the comment was written before the end of the first video. At end of the video I realized my comment was wrongs and the police shouldn’t shadow you or anybody else. Clearly, it is is police states country. They are trying to stop you from videoing or exposing the state of the country in the media.
Great bike ride.
thanks!
Keep going ✌
Thank you, I will!

Amazing adventure! Wishing you the best time for the time ahead 😊
How do you find being a woman in this part of the world? And have you met other women?

Ben who?
😂
@@FlorenceRyan I never fail to appreciate a good pun, also, I can't wait for the rest of your travel vlog through the country, so sorry for any trouble you had to go through, Egypt is certainly magical and I hope whatever hardships you have been facing, they would not completely ruin your experience
This won't happened to you in Morocco. Never in a million year . I love the egyptian people. I have friends in america and some of them actually did admit to this kind of behavior from the police . And by the way the police officers are just doing their job .
EGYPT WANT YOU TO PAY MONEY FOR TAXI ! THIS IS ALL THE STORY!
I wonder what you did with the situation in Sudan
We got out of Sudan 1 week before the war. This is posted late :)
Just discovered this channel.. watching from Kenya.. very interested to see what you make of Kenya a few episodes ahead..if ever you pass visit Busia along the Kenya - Uganda border you are welcome to couch surf at my place for free..
You'll love the Kenya videos I hope!
YOU GONNA VISITING MOROCCO
شي مزعج للغاية 😢
it is not safe to ride in such a small double lanes road... do u image what may happen to u when it turns dark!!! I am Egyptian n i will never do this.
We don’t cycle in the dark. Except when we are accompanied by the police, because they make us loose so much time arguing for hours and hours. If they let us go on time, we’d arrive way before sunset every day
You should watch the whole video I explained this clearly

this as well as Roberto Helou's and Jojo Aigner's are the only true vlogs of egypt. the rest are just small bubbles of the county. but how do they know you're foreign in the first place if you got 2 fluent arabic speakers with you? or is it that citizens cannot bike across the country too?
Sharif is Egyptian and he wasn't allowed to cycle without an escort. Rob has a L:ebanese accent so I think people can hear the difference. Plus we're on bikes, I think we stand out and people immediately assume we're foreigners... rightly so I guess haha
🙂

sorry for that you are welcome to egypt any time sorryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
when you come to my city you will have free hotel and food sorry for that again and welcome to egypt
Look we worry about you here if you make trip like this can be not good for you . By bicycle. In long rood sure we. Worry if something happened to you. Sure we will be blame .
Why you not understand that our policy just was worry about all of you .
You need to respect this .
I see police follow you to make you save and free they just want be sure no one will do any thing bad to you .
