There is something worth noting about sorcerers vs wizards. Most sorcerers in pathfinder used charisma. The use of charisma means you can have some of the highest possible persuasion in the game. As a king/queen. (Or any other type of monarch). It makes the most sense to be among the best at telling your subjects what you need to and have them do as you say
Yeah this is def good idea if you wanna make the most meta character which is a totally fair way to play. I like wizard from an RP standpoint because I like the idea of a person who worked really hard to study magic and then they become a demi god of the battlefield using their knowledge. Knowledge is power!
Viz your comments on the cleric. I would say that the base cleric is actually relatively balanced for combat, survivability, and healing. In terms of being just a straight healer the Ecclesithurge is, I think, an even healier healer. The loss of armor is offset by slightly more spellcharges and a difference in domains, which I don't fully understand. But it also gets a skill fairlt early on that adds a significant bonus to the amount of hp it heals with healing spells. The cleric is your D&D style healer, the Ecclesithurge is your Final Fantasy style white mage.
Aldori Defender when build properly is also a great tank because of his high AC although he doesn´t wear armour (in this behalf he is kinda similar to a Monk when you go with the crane style route) + deals lots of damage with his dueling sword... Also worth to mention - for beginners - is to choose a class which provides a pet.because pets are pretty powerful for both as tank and as damage dealer and therefore a big help, especially in the early game...the smilodon for instance I would even consider as a bit overpowered.
I did two full runs through this game and I second this. Other positive aspects of animal companions: 1. You can cast spells like Bulls Strength and Mage Armor on them for value. Many such spells often don't have a good target because the buffs don't stack with magic items like belts and rings etc that buff the same stat. 2. Animal companions generally have high strength and that strength adds to the party's total weight carrying capacity. As such once your Smilodon gets the size increase at level 8 , you don't need a Bag of Holding, because your weight cap will be huge. 3. Every party member and animal companion gets a separate roll to notice traps and hidden treasure. This allows a team to get like 7 Perception check rolls for every hidden thing, which is very helpful .
@@santoselizalde4403that's pretty crazy. Monk got scared and lost his faith, donned armor to protect himself and lost his ability or confidence in attacking more than 1 person per round lol.
@@RenfailJust seeing the comment now. Chirurgeon is basically an archaic word for the equivalent of a medieval field medic. It is actually where we get the modern word surgeon from.
Hey I just got the game tonight and my character is going to be an assimar cleric. I’m leaning towards traditional or Ecclesithurge. I don’t know which one to choose. Do you have any advice for someone just starting out, or anyone really?
There are a nearly infinite array of choices, just pick one, play what you like, try the game on easy mode first and if you are having fun, work your way up to normal difficulty or beyond and find out :)
@@Renfail thanks, does Strength play a big factor in equipping gear? I always like being the skill monkey and made my int 15. I wanted to be a dex cleric. So my dex is on par with my wisdom and my strength is 7. Am I going to be alright or am I going to have a rough start?

PF first edition is the best one. PF 2e looks very much like DnD 4e...
