I met Furo last year in Belgium during one of my coaching trips. He repeated stories of how he was badly treated during his playing days. He was abandoned when he badly needed help. I don't blame him. Let the son choose what favours him.
Ugochukwu, God bless you for that contribution. This na the first time you no talk off key since you resumed. Issues like these should be taken care of by the welfare dept of the NFF. A player shouldn't be injured during national duties and you leave all the expenses for their clubs to handle. These welfare packages are some of the things they can use in wooing players of dual nationality to come play for Nigeria. Also, as much as we are hoping and believing that NFF will get to that level of creating something like a retirement scheme for our players, they too should be able to make investment plans during their active years so that we don't experience cases of them cutting/washing meat or been unable to feed after retirement.
Use your head. Nigeria is a developing country like 80% of countries on Earth, most of which have electricity issues, including insufficient access to electricity, and power cuts. India experiences power cuts, but you don’t see Indians smearing and dragging their country online over every developmental issue like you thoughtless Nigerians.
The same platform the whole world now celebrates the talents from Nigeria. You may get more financial benefits abroad but you'll be forgotten quickly. It's true that African welfare is not nearly that abroad but your home is your home
@ The truth is we lack d platform.. We should not just focus on the successful ones only.. i know some of these players are successful when they come here but how about those that was not lucky to have a stelar time with the Country, how are we treating them? Any tangible reason for them to recommend another player to take the risk? You talked about how quick they can be forgotten playing for Countries abroad, im sure you r talking abt the ones that was not good enough for them and thats d same thing we do for those that was not good enough for us also.. They will even still be in their payroll i guess but is such a thing happening here? You want to talk about Seadoff, Kluivert, Zidane, Henry, Makelele, Ian wright, Thuram, Desailly, Benzema, or even Mbappe when he end his footballing career? These r few names of d Successful Foreigners.. No, they wont be forgotten.. Do we even recognize and do whats due for Our Legends, i dont think we do.. Better we call a spade a spade! I believe we can do better!
The truth is, the guy may not even merit a spot in the Nigerian team (when guys like Akor Adams, Dessers, and Arokodare and Josh Maja have not even been able to hold down a spot in the squad). Belgium may not look his way too, we never can tell tomorrow. All the same, his father's name is one of the names I memorised as a young guy beginning to watch football, because he was really good. He has the right to advise his son the way he feels, due to his past experience. No hard feelings.
😅 why he go even think say Nigeria will take the son for the first place Nd many footballers full inside Nigeria there why not take those ones most Nigeria take people because there father first play for Nigeria
@@zeelgabrielsyou’re rather the gullible one. Furo was not extraordinary let him carry his son to World best. Naija that is hard to even consider his son with all the attacking talents in Nigeria let him and his son stop seeking attention at this academy age.😂

Let the boy choose where to play himself to avoid making the wrong choice for him
