I’m not sure why a lot of people hate him. Compared to most step dads, he is the best I’ve seen so far. And it is clear that he takes the father responsibilities really good even though she is not his child, and I can tell the Everleigh feels comfortable and happy around him.
It’s because her dad gave her shoes that had his name on it before he passed and Cole threw it away.

I’ve watched y’all for so long that I feel protective over Ev. My motherly instincts and having lost a parent makes me like that. I’m always praying for her after the loss of her dad and for you all as guiding through the grief. It’s an ongoing struggle and I hope she is doing well. Anyways I love the new channel and enjoy seeing you two be silly and having a good time together. ❤
