I mean the enemy in this game seems to be almost a non-factor. He can be almost completely ignored, he has a very short line of sight and even if he sees you, you are faster then him. Just walk away :D

@@DefinitelyNotAFerret It alerts monsters to your current location so they'll start heading there. Problem seems to be that you outrun all of the threats in the game and they lack object permanence and will stop chasing you the moment you're no longer in their line of sight, so luring them to your location really isn't that threatening.

I’ve never heard of this game, so when I saw how fucking tall Mr. Hopps was, I realized this was more than a couple of evil stuffed animals.

I wonder if the AI is better for the other characters / higher difficulties. Cause Mr. Hopps had basically no object permanence and was barely a threat.
Probably those characters only get introduced in hard or extra hard mode
I use Mark to get to sleep as his voice is very reassuring and safe to me. I was literally about to nap! Perfect timing! (Thank you, Mark!)

There's something about that tune when hoppy comes out that reminds me of the loading screen for zombie mode in cod
Okay, now I want a horror game where the monster, which is clearly capable of murdering you with its bare hands (or tendrils, or whatever), just pulls out a gun and shoots you instead. The same game could also include similarly mundane humor, such as the monster getting foiled by things that would be a problem for a normal human but shouldn't be a problem for him. Or, something like whenever you come out of the bathroom, there's a small chance the monster will be there and will go inside as soon as you exit, like he was standing in line to use the bathroom. Maybe include the card that says, "For more information, turn over," on both sides, which will distract him for a while if you drop it on the ground where he can find it.
Please play Mr. Hopp's 2. I always wanted to see you finish it. I have never gotten around to watching anybody else play it as I would rather see you finally getting to the end of it~

I mean, I guess the design and ambience is scary. But Mr Hopp is very easy to avoid and doesn't chase you into other rooms or when he sees you entering a cupboard. And that sucks out the scare of him.

This is a lot more unsettling than I first expected it to be 🫠 I honestly thought they would be small stuff animal like not serial killer giant vibes and the art style is just unnerving so great now I’m really not gonna sleep tonight now.

Relentless is not the word I would use. He's more like a parent playing with you while on the phone. If you go near him he goes slightly faster like "I'm gonna get you" and then immediately goes back to his business.
