Sheer perfection! The dress, the hair, the earrings, and the gloves all contributed to her beautiful look. Very simple, yet so elegant! I love this movie so much. It is my favorite Christmas movie.
Yes, I really liked Danny Kaye, and Vera Ellen, their Dance Numbers. Still a really Great Christmas 🎄 movie, after all these years.1954. I loved the Rosemary Clooney number "Love" with the male dancers, George Chakiris was one of the dancers, I loved her Fabulous, Stunning Black Dress.
I'm kind of surprised that this song wasn't a hit on its own, after the movie was released. Even though it's relevant to the plot, it's a great song on its own. Rosemary is uncomfortable singing it while Bing is in the audience, since the two of them had a short-lived flirtation that went bad due to a misunderstanding, so the lyrics connect to the story. Plus it's got a very clever reference to "winter and snow in his heart", which makes sense in regards to a cold man, but also references the central point of the entire movie, which is that snow is needed in Vermont at the Pine Tree Inn to save the business. And of course the eventual happy ending is that snow does fall as a kind of gift of nature on Christmas Eve.
@@richardxander5283 why do you post a lie? “The film of West Side Story (1961) was hugely successful, and Chakiris won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance. “
I love this Rosemary Clooney number. Also, a young George Chakiris, before 1961 West Side Story, is in this dance Number with Rosemary, he's one of the 4 backup dancers!! I just love her Dress. And the Carousel 🎠. ❤👏❤ George C. Very Handsome!!❤
@@hillarypritchard9249 Hello, Yes, George was cute in that 1954 White Christmas movie. In the "Love" song By Rosemary Clooney, he was the best looking dancer. I think might have won an Oscar for West Side Story. Google it. I Google alot, that's how I find out stuff, questions answered, etc. It's nice to hear back from someone about this. Well Merry Christmas from Reno, NV. ❄🎄🥰
..very effective camera work and use of basically a small space. The colors and textures .. Check out the glitter "asbestos" heat gloves Rosemary wears. They are loose/baggy so somewhat awkward looking w/her body shaped mermaid style jet black dress. Huge earrings too. Rosemary at her most physically appealing "Hollywood star" performance.
Can we talk about how beautiful she looks in this dress and how soothing her voice is 😌

Loved seeing George Chakiris from West Side Story as a back up dancer !
I was wondering who the guy was that looked familiar
Rosemary Clooney was such an amazing singer and actress💖
And such a beautiful woman.
Jane Silverstar a very lovely woman
She was 25-26 something when this movie was made. Astonishing beauty and talent.
Bing, on the other hand, was 51.

I had the pleasure of meeting her several times. Very classy lady.
I didn't expect one of the greatest breakup songs of all time to be in a Christmas movie. But, it is.
One of my all time favorite songs, and nightclub routines, by the wonderful Ms Clooney. George Chakiris, dancing, was at his most handsome too!
I'm glad I am not the only one who noticed George!
That dress! I've always been amazed to think how carefully the neckline details had to have been done to achieve those perfect lines.
So elegant; Beautifully done. Love the tone of the dance!

George Chakiris was sooo handsome!
He received no credit for this movie.

Right? Then he goes on to win an Oscar if I'm not mistaken. (George Chakiris)

vERY VERY NICE!!!!!
Would it be possible to have captions or transcript enabled to make it easier to sing along?
Love to know the backstory on the guys who were dancing with her
The one 1:02 is actor George Chakiris. Who later starred in West Side Story.
It took me forever to realize this was how they worked "Abraham" from Holiday Inn into the film.
Can’t stop looking at the men.

There was a number, 'Crazy World', in Victor Victoria with a very similar mood.
謝謝你們看見了。
Does anyone recognize any of the men in this, one of them looks familiar but can’t think why?
The guy that stands next to Rosemary Clooney during the first “My one love affair” is George Chakiris who play Bernardo in West Side Story.
