Attempted Puncture Repair Using Screw Plug (Failed!)

Got a puncture last week and thought I'd see if I could fix it with one of these screw in plugs.
This is my experience and hopefully yours works out better!
I suspect the puncture, was too wide, for this type of solution to work?

I think the hole was a bit too wide for the plug but I'll try another type at some in the future.
