History of exmouth beach
Exmouth was a fishing village and grew into an important port in the 1100's. Later it turned into a busy tourist town. Born in 1544 Sir Walter Raleigh sailed on many of his voyages from Exmouth harbour and Lord Nelson's wife lived in the town on the Beacon.
