It is not contradictory. If you actually listen to the song it's clear that the message of "It's All about me" is about the power to decide your future and what you want to do. I am the one who must decide which path to take, what I will do with my talent and my passions, not someone else deciding for me! That's a very clear message from almost the entire Bratz discography lol...
