The other day I potatoed, got dev struck in a nurnberg, four minutes into the game. I had 14 k damage, no ribbons. I was first to die. Fifth from the bottom in xp. How can that even happen??

HMS Emerald, got into a Tier7 battle as the only tier5... yeah... got spotted and harassed by the carrier for 3 minutes though he only managed to take down 10% of my health, then got citadel'd with a following detonation by a Gneissy from over 16km range over a island. shot down 10ish aircrafts.... no other real damage done and gave me 2'nd place on scores on my team

I loaded as there was only one ship left on the enemy team I was still alive I got a citadel and a 25k salvo and came second from the bottom. Meaning someone did worst than someone who was AFK for the entire match!
I've always called the two middle islands as Russet and Red. Because majority of the players that pass through there at the start of the game are usually potatoes of different varieties.

The funniest bit wasn't just the enemy Lepanto trying to flee to another map - there was also the friendly Yamato who ended the battle sailing _away_ from the enemy near the friendly spawn point.....

God I remember this game. I had so much fun. Don’t even care that I didn’t do tons of damage. Me and my div friend just wanted to have fun on this game, and we did. Ramming the CV made my damn day. (I was _Orb_ btw)
When the map is Two Brothers, you do the channel dash. That is law. Actually it can be very useful if you do it right. You stop at the end an take cover as much as you can. A flank there can take pressure from the flanks at the sides and allow you team to push there. But we know that in many cases either the ships in the channel do it wrong or the team is not using the momentum for doing a push.

I had a fun Two Brothers game on Legends the other day...in my Gaede I mooched on the left flank spotting for a while then doubled back through the middle and torpedoed a lurking battleship straight to the bottom

Look for a NA video from June 11. Had a whole team come down the middle and they actual pulled it off. I got kill early, but after a longer day than expected at work, I wasn't at my best. It wasn't a standard battle so if we just sailed away from them and took the other caps we probably would have won. But no, like a bunch of noobs, we had to challenge their push. I expect they will be sending this video to you!
If I was McGibe I would have hidden in the final cap circle and cap it because honestly not taking all four cap circles when the opportunity presents itself like that is winning harder. Props to the Z-23 AND Friesland for realizing this and taking the final cap.

Not gonna lie, I have to do that when I play in order to maintain situational awareness, otherwise I get so tunnel visioned on landing all the shot on my target that I end up sailing into a really bad position. Watching it is hard, but actually doing it yourself is a bit easier.
@@CeesaX I think what he meant is that there is no need to zoom in for every shot, especially when shooting at BB's. You can just hold the free look all the time and look around while shooting. That way you actually have situational awareness unlike when zooming in and out every 2 seconds, and it's way more pleasant to watch.

The way you described you might miss a few shots in a row if the BB starts a turn, whereas if you go back to check every 2 seconds you'll probably land more shells. I do a hybrid of both, but I agree, the constant zooming is very hard to watch as a viewer.
@@CeesaX yeah of course you have to adjust your aim every now and then, and that's okay. But going back into binoculars for every shot when the reload is 2 seconds just seems like a compulsive habit more than what someone would do to keep a better situational awareness.
@8:02 Actually Jingles, the enemy team are only down ONE battleship not two. Plus in most games a tier 8 CV is if not a nightmare then at least a nuisance and would be a deciding factor so I can see their reasoning but they still could of gotten more use out of their BBs by waiting but who knows...

I've been playing the Soviet DDs lately. I absolutely need to either have someone spotting or when I spot everyone fires at the enemy DD. I have to say it's one of the most frustrating things about playing a DD, aside from dual CVs at tier 5.
I can't help but notice the many times McGibe shot away from the target, literally in the water in front of his own destroyer but strangely enough the shells managed to perfectly hit his target miles away, no where near where he was pointing when he fired his guns... I've never encountered that myself in-game, nor have I ever seen that play out on a replay before.
He is on free look. If you are aiming at a target and hold the right mouse down you can look around while the guns are still aimed. So you can fire at the target but keep situation awareness. Its a good habit to get into, after each round you fire click right and check around you when the guns reload. It really helps keep you from getting tunnel vision.
It´s only a Shokaku and contra to popular missconception, T10 AA (especially when stacked) kills T8 planes verry, verry fast. The Shokaku probably didn´t want to deplane himself and be useless for the rest of the match.
Yeah... I think this has to be right! It's a german ship with an abreviated first name starting with the letter "F"! Has to be "Friedrich" ... Oh Overlord of the saltmines - please don't change! ^^
Two Brothers map just brings out the absolute 'Insanity' of a wider range of players, I can not say what it is with any certainty but it just does. LOL
Anyone think there should be a database put together of featured players, ships, maps, etc? Every time Jingles goes "There's something familiar about this player - maybe I featured them in a previous video?", a google spreadsheet would really come in handy.
To be fair, I don't think I've EVER seen a CV ram a BB. They're usually either dead LONG before they get within 5 km, or they're busy sailing away and running out the clock.
