Im so sorry stuff like this happened to you man I actually know a good friend of mine who got their Sonic videos copyright striked from a few popular channels in the Sonic community (will not name for privacy's sake, and to not start a witch hunt), all because my friend didn't wanna associate with them anymore for being terrible people, and also because they had an opinion with constructive criticism on one of their series, and those few people couldn't handle opinions. The few channels reached an "agreement" of sorts, for my friend to take down the videos (even though they fell under fair use), and to take down their opinion, and those few would remove the strikes. My friend did what they asked, but those few never took down the strikes. This is a problem I noticed in TH-cam's copyright system. It can be easily abused by people out of spite or malice, and the people receiving the strikes have little to no way to defend themselves. And the way how youtube lets the person who made the strike handle the responses is messed up. There needs to be a change to how the copyright system works, so people dont get falsely striked like this. People could lose their lively hoods like this, they could lose income, and have to start everything from scratch.

Being a musician myself, I don’t like when people use my music if they don’t have my consent but if I legally switch the ownership to someone else I know there’s nothing I can do about that. It’s not right to copyright music to someone THEY GAVE the ownership and rights to, legally too. Ok, I watched the entire video and now I feel like I have a decent grasp of what to say. First of all, I'll say it now, I'm really excited for V.S. Eteled Reincarnated. I remember watching the original mod, watching Wii Delete You, and loving this stuff. I'm excited for more. Now on to the main reason behind this video. Also I'm not trying to be hateful here I'm just saying what I believe. Please do not go harassing others. I honestly feel like what the person did and the blackmail was uncalled for. First of all, there is proof that they had given the rights to Chris after they left. And then there's the fact that 500 dollars had to be paid to remove the copyright strikes. 500 can be a lot, and it was totally unnecessary. Then there's the fact that the person showed no signs of changing in a good way. The fact that their return was them on a stage with clapping really didn't show any humility, as Chris said. The point I'm just trying to say is, is that Chris never deserved what happened. The copyright strikes were so freaking unneeded, the blackmail was far too extreme, and the fact that Chris nearly lost his channel due to this just really is just...shocking. I loved Chris' streams and vids. He makes such good content. I wish I found him before. Chris, we support you. Stay safe and keep making awesome content.

Throughout this video, i can hear hints of Chris about to cry at some points. The blackmail was really unnecessary, they could've gone through a more reasonable negotiation for taking down the strikes. Honestly, people these days are disgraceful.

For the people who don't have 13 minutes of free time: The original composer for the Vs. eteleD mod was canceled for reasons I should not explain almost a year ago, came back 2 months later, then pretty much copyright striked Chris TWO TIMES, leaving his TH-cam career at risk and deleting the entire Vs. eteleD OST off his channel. To get the strikes taken down, Chris has to get BLACKMAILED. The good part is that Vs. eteleD: REINCARNATE is coming, with brand new music, vocals, sprites, and other schtuff along with a Week 2.
@@GenocidalSquidto be clear first: I'm not on either Chris' nor the musician's sides. They both suck, but it's important to get both sides, otherwise you're just supporting a witch hunt, and I really hope we haven't regressed to that point as a society. the full "blackmail" conversation was leaked a while ago; there was no monetary blackmail at all, the musician literally just asked for an apology and Chris offered $500 and said explicitly that money was not required at all. from all the stuff that got leaked in the response it seems like Chris took nearly every single thing out of context in such a way to slander the musician, to such an extent that he claims that the musician groomed people despite being (at the time and even now) a minor. I'd personally try to look at both sides of a story before immediately jumping on the "kill the musician" bandwagon. They've both done bad things; the musician has done a couple bad things and Chris manipulates his general audience regarding drama involving him to make sure people take his side. Anyway, as for the incorrect parts: -the musician came back 4 months later instead of 2 -It is very easily not blackmail; blackmail would be demanding money or compensation as an ultimatum to a threat, when the musician literally just asked for was an apology for the incessant slander and bullying Chris did to him -it's not technically incorrect, but the phrasing of "came back 2 months later then pretty much copyright striked Chris two times" is extremely implicative of the falsehood of the musician spontaneously doing it and not doing it after warning him and providing a pretty good reason for it: because he was getting bullied and harrassed so badly by Chris's tweets that he was constantly getting threats and harrassment and couldn't show his face anywhere besides vrChat without being publicly shunned and shut out. That's just around half, I believe.

I actually know a good friend of mine who got their Sonic videos copyright striked from a few popular channels in the Sonic community (will not name for privacy's sake, and to not start a witch hunt), all because my friend didn't wanna associate with them anymore for being terrible people, and also because they had an opinion with constructive criticism on one of their series, and those few people couldn't handle opinions. The few channels reached an "agreement" of sorts, for my friend to take down the videos (even though they fell under fair use), and to take down their opinion, and those few would remove the strikes. My friend did what they asked, but those few never took down the strikes.
This is a problem I noticed in TH-cam's copyright system. It can be easily abused by people out of spite or malice, and the people receiving the strikes have little to no way to defend themselves. And the way how youtube lets the person who made the strike handle the responses is messed up. There needs to be a change to how the copyright system works, so people dont get falsely striked like this. People could lose their lively hoods like this, they could lose income, and have to start everything from scratch.

Ok, I watched the entire video and now I feel like I have a decent grasp of what to say. First of all, I'll say it now, I'm really excited for V.S. Eteled Reincarnated. I remember watching the original mod, watching Wii Delete You, and loving this stuff. I'm excited for more. Now on to the main reason behind this video. Also I'm not trying to be hateful here I'm just saying what I believe. Please do not go harassing others. I honestly feel like what the person did and the blackmail was uncalled for. First of all, there is proof that they had given the rights to Chris after they left. And then there's the fact that 500 dollars had to be paid to remove the copyright strikes. 500 can be a lot, and it was totally unnecessary. Then there's the fact that the person showed no signs of changing in a good way. The fact that their return was them on a stage with clapping really didn't show any humility, as Chris said. The point I'm just trying to say is, is that Chris never deserved what happened. The copyright strikes were so freaking unneeded, the blackmail was far too extreme, and the fact that Chris nearly lost his channel due to this just really is just...shocking. I loved Chris' streams and vids. He makes such good content. I wish I found him before. Chris, we support you. Stay safe and keep making awesome content.

The original composer for the Vs. eteleD mod was canceled for reasons I should not explain almost a year ago, came back 2 months later, then pretty much copyright striked Chris TWO TIMES, leaving his TH-cam career at risk and deleting the entire Vs. eteleD OST off his channel. To get the strikes taken down, Chris has to get BLACKMAILED.
The good part is that Vs. eteleD: REINCARNATE is coming, with brand new music, vocals, sprites, and other schtuff along with a Week 2.
And basically half of what you said was wrong.

I'm not on either Chris' nor the musician's sides. They both suck, but it's important to get both sides, otherwise you're just supporting a witch hunt, and I really hope we haven't regressed to that point as a society.
the full "blackmail" conversation was leaked a while ago; there was no monetary blackmail at all, the musician literally just asked for an apology and Chris offered $500 and said explicitly that money was not required at all.
from all the stuff that got leaked in the response it seems like Chris took nearly every single thing out of context in such a way to slander the musician, to such an extent that he claims that the musician groomed people despite being (at the time and even now) a minor.
I'd personally try to look at both sides of a story before immediately jumping on the "kill the musician" bandwagon. They've both done bad things; the musician has done a couple bad things and Chris manipulates his general audience regarding drama involving him to make sure people take his side.
Anyway, as for the incorrect parts:
-the musician came back 4 months later instead of 2
-It is very easily not blackmail; blackmail would be demanding money or compensation as an ultimatum to a threat, when the musician literally just asked for was an apology for the incessant slander and bullying Chris did to him
-it's not technically incorrect, but the phrasing of "came back 2 months later then pretty much copyright striked Chris two times" is extremely implicative of the falsehood of the musician spontaneously doing it and not doing it after warning him and providing a pretty good reason for it: because he was getting bullied and harrassed so badly by Chris's tweets that he was constantly getting threats and harrassment and couldn't show his face anywhere besides vrChat without being publicly shunned and shut out.
That's just around half, I believe.
