Yamcha is arguably the most entertaining and interesting character, his self awareness from how he always has this cool guy act going to when he talks about how he wants to settle down and how hes scared to die alone, these are things we as the audience didn't even really know.

You know, they did an excellent job with the characters in this. I know Frieza is gonna rule over everything and is definitely not a good guy, but like, Captain Ginyu's offer to join the Ginyu Force just ends up actually coming off as really endearing, and Cell's comments for his special link actually feel pretty gratifying. It's kinda strange how they can be so deliciously evil, for lack of a better/more fun phrase.

This makes sense, seeing as thougn Frieza's technically the most evil of the villains, him being a sociopath and all.
Cell just has an overwhelming sense of pride. In fact, that's actually his only vice; he's not really truly evil otherwise, just the type to boast a lot and to show off; he'd only try killing Goku and Vegeta due to a destroyed pride. Meanwhile, there's a reason why Ginyu's force loves him. Ginyu's only considered evil due to his absolute loyalty to Frieza. He's otherwise not really someome you'd not want to hang out with.
Well if we talk about the most evil dbz villain? then yes I agree.. now in general... I would say world nobles from one piece, joker from batman, prime minister from akame ga kills, or darth sidious from star wars
@@KarjamP Cell killed millions of people in a horribly gruesome manner, and then decided he wanted to destroy the Earth simply because he didn't personally have any need for it anymore. That's worse than Frieza. Frieza at least has rules that you'll probably be fine if you abide by. Cell will kill you for no reason at all.

Cell is motivated by none other than narcissism. Narcisissm is a form of pride, both the original sin and the root of all evil; each and every single act of evil is literally born from pride, itself.
Frieza is still a sociopath. It may ironically be due to that which makes Frieza seem tamer than Cell by comparison; sociopaths are beings who, at the very core of their personalities, are driven by urges, impulse and a desire for control. Therefore, Frieza won't just kill unless he has a reason to; contrast this with Cell, who does so solely because he's a narcissist.
Not that it actually changes their reactions to each other, though; Cell would still find Frieza to be more vain than him...

I mean looking at the Saiyan Saga alone he: Got kidnapped twice, saw his Dad get killed by beam through the chest, spends a whole year with only piccolo, watches Piccolo sacrifice himself, sees Tien lose a hand, Chiaotzu blow himself up and Yamcha getting blown up all while almost dying himself. And that's not even counting the Android and Cell sagas. Guy really went through some shit as a kid.

Goodness, both the villains and heroes are just so heartwarming. You’re either cringing, facepalming, laughing, agreeing and wanting to hang out with them more. There’s the odd disagreement here and then (coughgotenkscough) but this video is so nice to listen to.
My favorites are Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, Piccolo, Cell, Frieza and Captain Ginyu! They’re so motivational in their own way.

The self-awareness of these dialogues is great.
It's so endearing and lovely that despite how evil the villains are (possibly with the exception of Ginyu, cause most of the reason he's viewed as evil imo is his utter loyalty to Freeza), their conversations and personalities in the links still make them feel like people, instead of just "one of the villains".

I think Uub would be the most logical player character here, since he is both human and has a powerful legacy having once been Majin Buu. Since Majin Buu also had the talent for learning the powers and skills of others on the fly, Uub would have this too to a lesser degree, which makes sense if he controls the bodies of other fighters and learns to use their skills. Uub's humanity would make him relatable to the heroes while his subconscious Majin side makes him appealing to the villains.

My personal headcanon is that either the Earthling Soul actually belongs to our custom hero from Jump Force, effectively making Fighterz the prequel the JF.
My other headcanon is that the Earthling Soul isn't actually an Earthling/Human Soul at all! In all of DBZ, a Soul, human or not, was never represented as an orb of golden light, their souls always resemble themselves when they were alive. Being a Ball of light is an oddity with the established look of actual Human Souls.
As for the linked characters, they're very inconsistent with the Soul's appearance. Most say it's a Human and has no gender, others say it's a Male or Female, and might actually be a Saiyan! But, it's neither.
That's because the "Earthling Soul" is You, the player, a being from another dimension no one could ever hope to reach! Essentially, you're basically an Elder God/dess. You are, to the Dragon Ball multiverse, what the Scarlet King is to the SCP Foundation.
However, in the DB Plane of existence, you exude so much power that in order to combat this, the dimension has to work around your intrusion somehow, and it does, creating a Vessel to contain your essence, hence the golden ball form. Basically, you're so powerful that everything in the DB universe, even the gods, sees you as one of the weakest beings in the universe...
And of course, since you in your home dimension control other characters in different dimensions, you have the ability to possess other characters here.
TL;DR: The Earthling Soul is either the soul of our custom character in Jump Force, or you're an Elder God so powerful you look deceptively small and weak in other universes. Basically a case of Azathoth looking like SCP 999.

So i do kinda wonder, considering Goku's power increased just from experiencing Super Saiyan God, would you suddenly realize a potential for Ki, sensing it, and have a better sense how to fight once you end up back in your body? Being the unfit fuck that i am, that'd actually be pretty neat, save from trying maneuvers that would likely break my limbs...though maybe the ki would make up for that. This whole linking concept is pretty fun to think about. :P
