Or, if you’re in Africa, those magnificent choruses of hymns based on their traditional music. I’m a singer, and I am worshipping best when I am singing psalms, or some of the best words from the prophets and the apostles. One of my favorite more contemporary pieces is a setting of these words: God is Spirit. God is Spirit. All they who worship, worship in spirit. For the Father seeketh such to worship Him. Bring no burnt offerings, bring Him no sacrifice; bring him only a broken and contrite heart, a broken and contrite heart. So shall we worship, worship in Spirit; in Spirit and Truth.” It gives me chills just to recall it. I sorrow for my little grand-niece, who has not been brought to church since her baptism and has not grown up with, “Holy, holy, holy”, “Fairest Lord Jesus”, or “Lead me, Lord, lead me in Thy righteousness, Make Thy way plain before my face. For it is Thou, Lord, Thou Lord only, who makest me dwell in safety,” or “When morning gilds the skies, my heart awakening cries, may Jesus Christ be praised.” Anyone who was not blessed by such music in childhood has been terribly deprived.

this title is really very misleading and the way he presents it is not very good......he talks like if we are not 100% of the time worshipping God then we will be left behind.......but theres not one verse that says God leaves any of his children behind because scripture says we therefore have NO condemnation, we are selaed until the day of redemption, we have present tense everlasting life, Jesus said he would NEVER leave or forsake us, and we are forever classifed by God as perfect, righteous, holy, justified and forgiven and seen thru the blood of Jesus......the biblical definition of worship is Worship is the awed response to the saving acts and praiseworthy character of God......i think barnett do not do a good job on this sermon of telling the people that all believers go to heaven regardless of their behavior because according to the bible they have been completely cleaned and washed and all sins removed and never to be remembered again......God can not see us any other way except as he sees jesus and thats perfect....
if thats true then the thief on the cross next to Jesus did not make cause he had no time do to anything but say remember me when you come into your kingdom.......and what about those who get saved and a week later the rapture happens..do they get left behind...i thnk not...what about people who die on their beath bed about 10 minutes before they die they accept Jesus as savior......are they also left behind...i think not......
I thought Jesus saw enough faith in the guy next to him on the cross.. Not the other ? How do we know that that guy next to Jesus on the cross was worthy enough to save. He was saved. Are we. Not sure.

What about a young child who has not reached the age of reason ? Is this child prevented from going to heaven ?
