I visited Gantok and Yumthang in sikkim in 1994, May. Yumthang journey in Trekker was very thrilling and scary as we started in Gangtok at around 8am and reached Lachung by evening 7pm. we stopped once midway from where we had a very clear view of Kanchenjunga mountain. I think i was the pioneer visitor those years and opened the Gangtok , Yumthang tourism. The journey from Gangtok to Yumthang was a solitary journey where we didnt come across any single soul except one or two. military road repair trucks . It was like a journey with my family and parents ,into the unknown lands. scary but thrilling .It was so serene and calm those days.

Today come back from sikkim and place view very very estimate... But travel very long and hieght. Every day 6-8 hour travels journey..
