My daughter and I were talking about crowd funding this morning and we both came to the same conclusion, wait until you see how much the insurance payout is, then if its not enough for another van that you like, then consider crowd funding. At the end of the day, we all want to see you both out and about again in a new van that you both want. Saw another post asking/ suggesting re selling your pictures ( auction?) but how about selling prints of them ( you keep the originals)....or if possible....turn them into a Calender? It will be a fair bit of work - n you'd be earning every penny! Which I think might help you accept the support of folk desperate t help!
I do have some prints, and I have tried to sell them in the past, but there was little interest in them. You have heard me mention Andy on our channel, he is a printer and he generously made prints of some of my drawings, which I like better than the originals. The trouble is I don't have a shop and you have to have 10000 subs to have a shop on TH-cam.

Very easy to buy your book from Lulu Publishing. I bought the ebook as I live in Australia and I didn’t want to wait for the postage to read it. Another couple 4 weeks ago had their brand new caravan smashed by a young man falling asleep running into them in South Australia. Their TH-cam channel is called Good Different Adventures Traveling Australia. The insurance paid out the full amount of insurance money in 4 days and already they have a new caravan. Nobody was hurt but the caravan was written off. God bless you both. We are campers so understand your love of camping.🙏🏻🙏🏻💖

Sometimes injuries happen and one doesnt feel it til later down the weeks .muscles tence up with situation like yous have been through .hope yous both feel better soon.

Hello Trevor, I filled in my email and home address then it asked me for payment. I paid £5 using PayPal, then I received an email from Lulu confirming payment made, they then sent me an email with a link to download your book which I did, all 102 pages. It was as easy as that. By the way, my name is spelt without an ‘e’ on the end, my Dad was a bad speller and when he registered my birth back in 1948 in Battersea, between him and the registrar that’s what they came up with, phonetically Diann is correct. 😂.

I don't have a shop for selling my drawings Paul, and to be honest I don't know how to sell them, I don't have a system, and without a system it's just had hock. I just don't know about the go funding idea Paul, most want me to do it, and I have had a couple of heavy critics too, so no decision on that score.
Re folk buying book direct from publisher. It is simpler f publisher to post direct to customers instead of sending them t you n you then having t post them on. They can also see how many they need t print....to keep supply going! Saves you a lot of time and worry! X
You are right re marriages made years ago...(pre 1970) tending t have 'lasted longer'..... up t that time...nothing came easy - n pleasures were in the simple things! Folk had t work,to save n wait f things they wanted....debt ( apart from mortgage!) was frowned upon....n communities were more 'cohesive' stepping- in when one or other may not be being " wise" n helping each other in times of crisis - as well as celebrating together! But above all...there was no " easy way out" so folk needed t learn t communicate n resolve any issues...n to both - the " family"( being together) meant every- thing! Nothing like having a Common Goal to keep folk together! Add a big dollop of love - n " Bobs yer Uncle"! ❤

I think the true reason older peoples marriages lasted so long is the communication used in older days. Writing to each other. In letters you express true feelings to each other. You really get to know each other very well. And, know that person is the one for you.
Pat and I wrote more than 300 letters to each other, and I found it to be one of the most frustrating experiences of my life. On this channel I read a letter every day, and the frustration is still with me. But that's just the rub Patti, it was the suffering that creates the cement, you have to be prepared to suffer for what is important in life.

I am so sorry what happened to you both, we had a crash where a trainee doctor decided to pull out on us on a duel carriage way crashing right into my side, My ankle was sprained because i was as if i was pressing on the brakes if makes sense. I'm 70 y/o and worked as lorry driver for 52 years, retired after the covid debacle settled down on november 18/2022 age 68,5 y/o, I turned 69 in may 2023 whilst in thailand on a 7 month extended holiday after 3 years of no holidays due the pandemic , ive traveled all over thailand by car to, 10's thousands kms, ive still got my yamaha yzf OWO2 R7 motorbike on a 2000 plate, but it needs to go as its worth allot of money (google it) ,. Motor homes are expensive in my eyes, maybe "van life" is a cheaper option ?
I retired in 2016 when I was 69. We had to sell up to be able to retire. Pat is 73. I was on long distance when I came out of the army in 1970 until I went self employed round about 1972. I had a Yamaha xs650se with a chair on round about 1979.
Trevor I have been thinking about the go fund……and I think some people will want to give a little not only to help with the van, but for you and Pat…..I have watched from day one and have grown to understand you and feel like I have got yo know you both and your family to some degree. You are both wonderful people and we know this go fund does not sit comfortably with you……BUT it’s a way for people who want to, to donate and just show you that we are behind you and feel upset for what has happened…..if people don’t agree then they just don’t donate that’s fine. I personally don’t think waiting is the right thing, I think it should be set up now, even though you are covered by insurance, there will still be further expenses and what money comes it can allow you to get your new van up to scratch with whatever is needed extras wise etc…people will want to help Trevor you need to let them x anyway enough said as usual !!!! You and Pat are still healing, I imagine the incident is still under investigation by the police, the insurance company is probably still trying to figure out what your RV was worth at the time of the collision. All the add-ons you had done to it, all the small kitchen appliances you bought for it, the TV etc. You have videos of the inside of your RV, look closely at those and it will help you recall just what extras you had and what you will need to claim for on your insurance. Try to let Tracey sort things out for you both, it is hard when you have both been very independent all your lives but right now you need to listen to Tracey and just give yourselves time to heal. The doctor says “no driving for 2 weeks”, next doctor’s visit he might say “no driving for 6 months”. Hopefully things will get sorted ASAP but unfortunately that isn’t always the way things work. My parents were married 36 years, sadly now they are both no longer here. But my Dad was in the Army and hated leaving my Mum anyway years later he left the army. More years later and my Dad had to have an operation and it bought it all back to him, having to leave my Mum but this time leaving us kids too, he literally cried so hard and he was in hospital for a week and everyday that passed he cried. Love you guys but I don't agree with go funding as you will be getting paid out on insurance so why would people be rewarded on behalf of others. It seems everyone just wants to jump on the band wagon and I'm sure as an ex employer for an insurance company. I don't think you will be short for replacing the van so long as they knew you were actually living in it. Even if you couldn't replace like for like you wouldn't be left homeless and maybe you could be housed and then buy a smaller van to do travels. I'm 60 and we lived in our van for a year until I got terminal cancer but we had no choice to rent a house and we had to sell our beautiful van that had everything in it and needed money to set up home again as we didn't own our home we had before travels so now we just have an older van and we would never dream if go funding so I hope you don't take offence at my thoughts but you should see what you get first as there are people out there with nothing and that's not what your going to be like. I hope you don't have to wait too long and I'd rather be here with my family for longer than have pots of money but love to you both xxx

Sounds like it could be a bit of sciatica, i had it 30 years ago, came on overnight and i was dragging my leg for months until it gradually disappeared and didnt return, love listening to your ramblings, your a lovely couple, sorry to hear about "twat",(where did that name spring from)? now could be a good time to buy another van, as i'm reading reports of sales crashing and many firms going bust,. Also do you realize that if you didn't buy those potatoes you probably wouldn't have had that accident ! call it fate or coinsurance or good or bad luck, anyway 70 y/o new sub here enjoying listening to the oldies, cheers,..
When we bought our motorhome we had nothing but trouble with it, and people on TH-cam were giving their vans effectionate names, so I thought should I give our van a name, and that word popped into my mind, because until we got the van sorted out it was a right Tw...t.
Pat and I regard the smash as an omen for many reasons, it brought to a close that chapter of our lives. We now look forward to a new chapter. Life On The Run part two.

@@trevorpat-lifeontherun Good luck with whatever challenge you choose, and lets face it most things when your older are a challenge, you do look well for your age, the pair of you, when did you retire and what age is pat ?,. I'm 70 y/o and worked as lorry driver for 52 years, retired after the covid debacle settled down on november 18/2022 age 68,5 y/o, I turned 69 in may 2023 whilst in thailand on a 7 month extended holiday after 3 years of no holidays due the pandemic , ive traveled all over thailand by car to, 10's thousands kms, ive still got my yamaha yzf OWO2 R7 motorbike on a 2000 plate, but it needs to go as its worth allot of money (google it) ,. Motor homes are expensive in my eyes, maybe "van life" is a cheaper option ?
I retired in 2016 when I was 69. We had to sell up to be able to retire.
Pat is 73.
I was on long distance when I came out of the army in 1970 until I went self employed round about 1972.
I had a Yamaha xs650se with a chair on round about 1979.

Trevor I have been thinking about the go fund……and I think some people will want to give a little not only to help with the van, but for you and Pat…..I have watched from day one and have grown to understand you and feel like I have got yo know you both and your family to some degree.
You are both wonderful people and we know this go fund does not sit comfortably with you……BUT it’s a way for people who want to, to donate and just show you that we are behind you and feel upset for what has happened…..if people don’t agree then they just don’t donate that’s fine.
I personally don’t think waiting is the right thing, I think it should be set up now, even though you are covered by insurance, there will still be further expenses and what money comes it can allow you to get your new van up to scratch with whatever is needed extras wise etc…people will want to help Trevor you need to let them x anyway enough said as usual !!!! Take care x

@@DeniseKneeshaw When we lived in Armley my mam worked in a separate mending room on Tong Road, which would have been associated with a mill, but I don't know which one.

Hi there 👋🏻👋🏻. You and Pat are still healing, I imagine the incident is still under investigation by the police, the insurance company is probably still trying to figure out what your RV was worth at the time of the collision. All the add-ons you had done to it, all the small kitchen appliances you bought for it, the TV etc. You have videos of the inside of your RV, look closely at those and it will help you recall just what extras you had and what you will need to claim for on your insurance. Try to let Tracey sort things out for you both, it is hard when you have both been very independent all your lives but right now you need to listen to Tracey and just give yourselves time to heal. The doctor says “no driving for 2 weeks”, next doctor’s visit he might say “no driving for 6 months”. Hopefully things will get sorted ASAP but unfortunately that isn’t always the way things work. My parents were married 36 years, sadly now they are both no longer here. But my Dad was in the Army and hated leaving my Mum anyway years later he left the army. More years later and my Dad had to have an operation and it bought it all back to him, having to leave my Mum but this time leaving us kids too, he literally cried so hard and he was in hospital for a week and everyday that passed he cried. Xx

Love you guys but I don't agree with go funding as you will be getting paid out on insurance so why would people be rewarded on behalf of others. It seems everyone just wants to jump on the band wagon and I'm sure as an ex employer for an insurance company. I don't think you will be short for replacing the van so long as they knew you were actually living in it. Even if you couldn't replace like for like you wouldn't be left homeless and maybe you could be housed and then buy a smaller van to do travels. I'm 60 and we lived in our van for a year until I got terminal cancer but we had no choice to rent a house and we had to sell our beautiful van that had everything in it and needed money to set up home again as we didn't own our home we had before travels so now we just have an older van and we would never dream if go funding so I hope you don't take offence at my thoughts but you should see what you get first as there are people out there with nothing and that's not what your going to be like. I hope you don't have to wait too long and I'd rather be here with my family for longer than have pots of money but love to you both xxx

Possibly I am too sensitive Loraine. I haven't made a decision yet, and Tracey said the same thing about jumping on the band wagon, but I am getting a lot of flak from people who want to do it, so I don't know where I am with it. It isn't even my idea, I have been saying no I can't do it, but people seem so keen on the idea.
Let's just forget about it Loraine, it isn't worth creating friction between us.
@@trevorpat-lifeontherun its just these funds go into thousands as I know as I have just given to help a family that have been told their only child who is a tiktoka with her dad and only 7 has a brain tumour and has been given 9 months so both parents obviously can't work as want every hour with her. That's my opinion where go fund is needed not just money in bank till insurance pays out and you have a lovely van and pots of money also sorry no comparison listen to your daughter not subscribers
