I do not think anybody at the Hillsville trial thought there would be a shooting. Certainly tensions were high. And yes, people came out to see the show. Guns were always present , anywhere you went, the guns were not the problem. The people holding them were. Just another day as far as the Allens were concerned. Floyd flexing his muscle. And Dexter was going to see he didn't. That Trial went side ways. The trial that would send Floyd and his son to die was a travesty of justice. Floyd may have gotten what he deserved but the trial was farse.

You are either sadly misinformed or so biased that you cannot admit the truth. The only travesty of justice was when Democrat politicians had perverted justice to the benefit of the Allens in the past. The Allens had reached the conclusion that they were above the law and could do anything that they wanted with complete impunity. They found out differently when the electric chair fried them.

@@FRLN500 I maybe sadly (Sadly?) misinformed, I'll admit biased on a lot of things. But the TRIAL that would send Mr Allen and his son to the electric fry chair was whoop sided. Talk about bias. Take your FEELINGS out of it. Floyd may have got what he deserved in the end. But it was not a fair Trial. AND I don't think the Courtroom would have been packed with guns inside and women and children inside if they thought a shoot out was going to take place.
