How to feed 1,000 catfish juveniles to 1kg table size this year

- If you are a fish farmer and you don’t know how to calculate this , then you have not started fish farming. on this video I will show you the estimate for producing 1kg catfish from juvenile stage, everything will be explained on how to go about it.
Remember you can get 1kg fish in 3 months and 3weeks if you follow this feeding procedure, before the culture periods elapsed you will be getting fishes from 1kg to 2kg.
For this to work
1. Buy good seeds (that is fast growing juveniles)
2. Maintain good water quality
3. Feed you fish in the same particular time daily 4. Use your vitamins.

Divide the estimate into 5 places that what you need for 200 fishes
200pcs of fish may be for self consumption. But if for commercial, u need to go up to 500+

We used only 1000 fishes for better understanding, fish culture depends on individuals capacity, some people can culture 10k , 100k or 1 million cafish or more depending on what you can carry, the more you put in the more you get. If you culture 100k fish then multiple the 416k by 100k thats your profits
No mater the weight multiply it with the selling price, for instance if you have a 2kg fish multiply it by 1400 naira

Nice one Sir, but sir please I need your help, we stocked 10,000 fishes and they're 2mons , 2weeks and 6 days now but some are big, and some small and some are too small also. Thou many has dead like 500 fishes are so... please what can I give them to grow...dey came in as Juvenile
Grade them according to size then feed them well and maintain quality water, at 3 months you should be seeing 600 to 900 grams if they are good seeds than as soon as you start counting 4 months you will start seeing 1kg

Thank you for simplifying the costs of production. May I make some observations.
The labour costs should be adjusted to reflect reality. Nobody will work for 10k a month. Around 20- 30k is the average rate for a farm worker. That will be 100-150k in five months. Further, unless you are selling directly to the consumers, selling price of 1,400 is not realistic. Current prices are around N1000- 1,200 per kg. If adjustments are made, this is barely breaking even. A way out may be what you have suggested, using a blend of local and foreign feeds to achieve the required results and selling directly to the market. However, direct sales is not practical for large stocks, which have to rely on middlemen.

If you are keeping them longer than the feed stated you have to switch to the 9mm

Why don’t you use 9mm? I understand that 9mm is equivalent to finisher in poultry farming
Our target her is 1kg so if you exhaust the feed , and you still want to keep them you can switch to 9mm

What happens when you didn't get 1kg in all of the fish? Some might be less than 1kg.
Stock good seed you should get minimum of 1kg

As a strong person you are, you don’t need to culture 1000 fish, this is for illustration, you can culture like 1,000,000 million catfish or above so that at the end of the harvest you should be making a profit of 416 million Naira in 5 months , what do you think about this is it still small?, invest big in agriculture and harvest big, ask this big politicians why the like agriculture. It’s capital intensive if you have money to invest , 1k fishes is just for illustration purposes so compare with what you can culture , some people culture millions of catfish , just imagine the profits so don’t judge by 1k fish.
