An ordinary girl is admitted to the most prestigious school in the country where she encounters F4, an exclusive group comprised of the four wealthiest and handsomest boys in the school - Dao Ming Si, Hua Ze Lei, Xi Men and Mei Zuo.
Shan Cai is an 18-year-old girl from a family that's barely able to make ends meet. Due to a turn of events, she gets accepted into a school that only accepts the upper class elites. She immediately clashes with her classmates especially Dao Ming Si who is spoiled, arrogant and a bully. She remains defiant even after becoming a target of a series of pranks intended to torment her and just when she's about to give up, Hua Ze Lei always seems to show up to lend her a helping hand.
Eventually, the four boys begin to acknowledge Shan Cai's unyielding personality that is like her namesake which is that of a weed that can never be brought down. She also begins to see the good in the boys, which paves the way for friendship and an eventual romance.

Huaze Lei....would be best for Shancai, because although he appears gentle, he’s actually very strong .... especially in his convictions.
Exactly. People usually think sensitive people are weak, but weakness has nothing to do with being sensitive. If someone sensitive ends up knowing how to deal with that sense they'll become stronger than anyone could ever thought. For me Si was the weak one, because he couldn't handle his emitions most of the time. He just wanted a girl, and he didn't accept a 'no' as an answere, he got angry, he got jealous, he was possesive with her, he even forced her to kiss him, even though she was terrefied of him, since that moment I stopped thinking I should give a chance to his character, I don't care how 'good' he was later, after that Shen should have never been with him, he didn't respect her at all; he just thought "Oh, this girl doesn't pay attention to me. She's a challange, so I want to be with her" and she started to think he was good after she heard his 'traumas' and que was "Oh, poor thing. He just wanted to be loved. I can't leave him". Lei on the other hand was more focused on Shen Cai's happiness all the time, just like she did with him. He had his traumas too, but that's not why she fell in love with him; she started to fall for him because of his kindness and his values, she started to love him for who he is. And Lei liked her because of who she was; she was never a challange for him, because she was already in love with him. Still he needed to let his past go first, so he could return to her. And when he started to suspect that without knowing it there could be a slight chance that he was using her to stop being hurt, he inmediately told her, because the last thing he would ever want is hurting her. That's what made him strong; he always was willing to sacrifice himself for her, because he knew she was worth of his love. He fell in love with her, because she was funny, she always made him laugh, she was hopeful and a good person, a strong women who would fight for her rights... He fell in love with her true self just like she did with him. Their admiration, trust and respect for each other were the aspects that their relationship was based on; a healthy relationship which had all the aspects that a long-term relationship needs.
This is just my opinion, I'm guessing a lot of people would disagree with me, but that's ok, we all have our opinions. 😉👍

Oh glad some of u think like me it was my reason to drop this drama at time of it's airing bcz first I find make lead so stupidly obsessive and I can't tolerate his make at some point which is too much. I watch until 8 but I watched lei scene cuts in mv as I like his acting and role more than main lead.
But glad lei is going to act as main lead in coming up drama which I really want to see when I first saw him in this drama 😁

I ship them but I dont understand how people don't get the idea of Meteor garden. A poor, plain courageous girl fall in love with a spoiled, angry,rich guy who changes himself for her.. And I ship lei with her as a friend because they're great as friends..i dont think people really understand nowadays what love means.. Lei doesn't exist irl.. I mean if you think about it Lei kissed his best friend's girl. Lei isn't perfect either but you don't always fall in love with perfect guys or perfect guys doesn't exist. I ship Si and Shancai waaay more because tbh that's how real love is like. Loving each other despite the flaws and I think that's what makes their love so beautiful.
