Can’t think of any band that can do a stripped down acoustic version sound just as powerful as the electric version….(Door Opens) ENTER THE WARNING…TWA⚡️⚡️⚡️
IMO these acoustic performances are top notch.
Stripped down leaves even less places to hide than just playing as a 3 piece.
Not only do they excel instrumentally but absolutely shine vocally.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t plug Ale’s falsetto parts and Dany’s vocal belts.
I absolutely love them acoustically as well.
Did you notice that those who normally play electric are now playing acoustic (Dani, Ale) and Pau, who normally plays acoustic, is now playing electronic.
My favorite Warning song. Dany's vocals are perfection throughout this whole set.
Its pretty damn close for me. There is JUST something about it.
We need a petition to bring it back to their set list!
They are genius in everything they do.
I would highlight here that you can better appreciate Alejandra's higher-pitched, fluted or falsetto voice.
DPA's harmonies are masterful.

For me, this series of acoustic videos are a milestone where Dany’s vocals turned a corner. The next milestone was the release of Choke where Super Dany was unleashed! Add to that the grit and growl and you now have the best front-woman in Rock!

The vocals are everything in this song. So powerful. Love it so much. They did 4 songs from Queen of the Murder Scene here in this cool hotel lobby. I thought it was a museum at first. They held the meet & greet from the recent Monterrey show in this room so it must be close to the venue. As for Pau, I wouldn’t imagine anyone is exactly a fan of these little acoustic/electric drum pads but they have many such things if you walk into a music store, like Guitar Center. But they serve a purpose when you are limited in space. You can’t exactly throw a drum kit in a backpack if you’re going to play in the park downtown. She looked like she was concentrating, You need to be hitting a much smaller target.
Absolutely agree! TRM, you need to search out the other three acoustic versions in this set. They are all amazing.
There are even fewer places to hide with a 3-piece does acoustic. They killed this. The vocals in particular. Ale's high octave during the chorus. Dany going full gospel at the end.
Fun fact, this room is an upstairs meeting room at a hotel in their hometown. The same room where they held the Meet & Greet for their big concert back in October. Quite an intimate space for a sound as big as theirs.
This was recorded in an upscale hotel in downtown Monterrey. Fun fact: for their recent Monterrey concert at Pabellon M Auditorium, they held their meet and greet in the same room. Pau shows her precision hitting those drum pads. They are small targets. They did several of their songs at this acoustic performance. There is even a clip of Ale singing the lead lines for one of the songs during a sound check, though she didn't do the actual performance of that song.

Love these acoustic sets. Ale playing that big acoustic base was really nice, along with her beautiful falsetto. Flawless performance by all of them.
You can't hide in this type of setting. Every nuance is magnified, from their playing, singing to any error. Yet they stand there confidently and murder it.
People should show them these acoustic sets for anyone that dares question how good they are. These acoustic sets also do a good job at focusing on their musicianship/technique. Dons Music does an excellent analysis of these vids in which he pin points just how great they are as musicians YEARS ahead of what anyone thinks they are.

These young women are a force to be reckoned with. Every that I have seen from them I just can’t get enough of! Even Paulina’s drum masterclass is top notch, although the audio is kind of messed up throughout the video. I don’t focus on that, I just watch her doing her thing and she makes it look like it’s NOTHING!
Flawless performance
You can get whole drum kits of electric pads . The cymbal sound is electronic too.
They have a whole series of these from QotMS and they are all great. Also I may remember incorrectly, but I seem to remember them mentioning that these were filmed in the lobby of a luxury hotel in their hometown of Monterrey.
I adore this series of songs in acoustic version. Many singers use complete instrumentation to hide their weaknesses in singing. In the case of the Villarreal sisters it is quite the opposite, the acoustic versions allow them to show off their voices in all their magnificent splendor.
There are several videos of them doing some of their songs acoustically. At this session they did Sinister Smiles, Red Hands, Hunter and The End. Dull Knives with just Dany and Pau from the Cave is really good as well. Plus Dany and Pau did a long acoustic show in Canada with a radio station & small audience. Dany still had a slight fever and Ale was too ill to participate.
BTW, when they were in Philadelphia in 2022 Dany didn't have much of a voice so Pau sang Money when they did an interview at WMMR.

If you want to complete the trifecta - search for “the warning sinister smiles radio”. They do this song in studio with only Dany on acoustic guitar & Pau pounding the beat on the table! Once again the vocal harmonies are incredible. Pau started to laugh when Ale joined in with her high falsetto. I love how Ale normally takes the low harmony in most songs, but here completely flips the script. The sheer skill level of these ladies is off the charts.
Since the 70s, such brilliant artists have not appeared in the same band... Anyone who is not capable of understanding the genius of these girls is not prepared to understand the future of Rock And Roll...

I absolutely love this version. Actually all of the acoustic songs from this set are amazing. I am not sure if I like this better maybe even than the electric version but both are great. Too much talent in one family.

When you know "DK(CB)" in its "normal" version it is impossible to imagine an acoustic version of it.
It is super surprising to realize what Dany does vocally and Pau on the piano with this song... both are masterful!!

@@hardknox1917 The amazing thing about the Dull Knives acoustic is that it has such a different, haunting vibe. While the full version rips at your entire body and your face the acoustic version rips at your heart and your soul. Incredible songwriting.
I love this version of my favorite song! As someone said, there is no place to hide in such a stripped-down acoustic version and they all perform it to perfection (we would expect nothing less from them). One of my favorite aspects of this song is watching Alé and seeing how she avoids making eye contact with the camera. The one time that she does, she gives that “get that effing camera out of my face” look! She has gone from the outspoken little girl in the TedX talk, to this shy, introverted teenager, to the super-confidant, badass Thunder Goddess that she is now! The recent interviews at the VMAs and the gear breakdown video that just came out show that Beautiful Badass Bassist that commands attention

Happy Dany Day! I LOVE the sound and clarity of that Ovation electric acoustic guitar. No backing tracks. Stripped down. Just voices and instruments...and they are absolutely brilliant! Dany's vocals at the end are incredible. Great reaction!
[As an aside, with regard to your shout out to Pulp Fiction (great movie shot in the neighborhoods where I grew up) thoughts and prayers to Bruce Willis and his family. There will never be another BW.]
You really have to check it out the 23 Live performance at Metropolitan, it's one of the most incredible performance of Pau. I really enjoy ur reactions
I have noticed a few times in life, a very few times, that certain people command your attention when they walk into a room. Some people crave your attention, and will act out to get it (the classic grand entrance). There is a very small number of people who can take over an entire room, just by walking in and sitting down. There is no set formula as to how these people demand your attention. For some it is beauty. For others it is the manner in which they carry themselves. Sometimes it is a unique physical trait (like size).
Dany is one of those people. When she walks into the room, everyone stops what they are doing, and turns their attention to her. I cannot pin point exactly why, but she is a commander, a boss, an alpha. Everyone snaps to attention, and then she smiles and the entire room is suddenly at ease. With one simple gesture she acknowledges you, and silently gives you permission to continue whatever you were doing. She does not require you to know she is there, but in all cases you are overjoyed that she is. Its fun to watch, especially if its a room full of people who have not met these sisters before.
Pau is the grand entrance sort of person, she cannot help it. Her gregarious personality exudes from every movement she makes. She has a zeal for life, and all things in it (except for vegetables and bugs). She seems excited by most all things, and can’t wait to tell you about it. She definitely asks you directly to pay attention.
Ale is living statue, a flesh and blood version of Venus….and a paradox. She does not crave your attention, but will reluctantly accept it. She seems to be aware of everything around her at all times. She always sits upright, with her shoulders back. She has picture perfect posture, and poise. She seems to be self aware, and is careful to be seen in a certain light. Just don’t have a camera pointed her direction, or you will be on the end of one of her icy glares. Lol.
The three of them are alpha’s in their own ways. Together they are a perfect storm. Strong, poised, full of charisma. They seem to be able to will their goals into existence, just by speaking them out loud. I think they will go as far as they choose to go in this business. I can also see them one day saying, “that is far enough”, because they are so grounded, complete human beings.

Dany and Pau say Ale has the most beautiful falsetto of the three of them. It is very apparent.
I prefer this version but not by much it's the vocals being so clear here that gives this the edge for me. This whole acoustic set is really good. They blow me away as well and yes they're IT in a big way. These are amazing talented ladies that love to rock. Thank you for doing both versions so close together it was great. 🤘⚡🔥⚡🔥⚡
This is my favorite version of the song. I love how they didn't try to change it, they play it with the same ferocity as the "normal" version just on acoustic instruments. The version of Hunter from this session is another great performance, definitely check it out.
I am always just blown away by these girls but Ale here is just shredding that bass if its ok to say shredding when talking about her bass skills.

Normally Acoustic recordings suck, it´s something bands do to fill up space on the album or get to release the same song several times. But when it comes to The Warning I love everything acoustic they do. Sinister smiles is one of those songs that battles with the stage performance and I can´t decide which one is best. Your reaction is good like always.

How do display pure talent, play it acoustically! And Pau, destroying the drum pad while singing, precision drummer!
Because drumming and singing wasn't challenging enough for Pau she decided to do it standing up, and on one foot.
There is other songs they did at this performance maybe when you get to the song you do them to.

If you think THAT electronic drum kit is incredible...you should take a look at digital drum sticks that play all the sounds by just flailing away in the empty air with just a pair of programmable sticks. I've only seen some short clips, but it does look like fun!
Next time someone says “they sound full because they are using a backing track”, remember how full they sound here.
