As a fellow south Asian. I can definitely relate to the wanting to distance yourself from your race aspect. I try really hard to this day to not wear traditional clothing, to not watch most Bollywood movies (minus 3 idiots, that right there is the biggest fucking gem in all of cinema). I was never bullied for my race since I’ve yet to left my country but there’s still a strange shame attached to it. Even now, I still can’t find myself belonging to where I’m from but I know I won’t fit into a different country either… so I just feel like I belong nowhere. I was currently in a similar situation with my friends.... I just stopped caring. It's really rough at the start because you will feel very lonely and scared. Also I have some mental health issues to deal with so I was scared about what would happen to me if I was very lonely. But i worked on myself and told myself they are not worthy of my time. I would say that being scared and alone for a bit is a lot better than being miserable for a long time. Also, friends will come and go. But you will be with you everyday. So try to learn more about yourself . Don't feel bad about losing friends. You will surely meet a lot more people in the future. Try to be yourself so you can meet the people who match your vibe. I know it sounds corny, but everything happens the way it does for a reason. If you wanted to do something that didn't happen, it is the Universe telling you that it isn't a good time now, but that doesn't mean you won't ever get to do it. We are all guided in ways that we don't always see. If you had gone when you wanted, something bad might have happened to you. I like to think of it as the Universe telling me to wait. There's no way to really know, but it can be comforting to think of it in this way. When the time is right, it will happen. Don't lose hope and try not to be too disappointed. I hope this helps you deal with the situation.

But if you ask me personally regarding long-term residence, DONT DO IT. As a 9th grade student, I am dying by the curriculum here and thankfully we will be moving to Beverly Hills this year. The weather in Kerala is humid af and the people in my school are just too much. But do come to India, it's nice and totally worth it

As a fellow south Asian. I can definitely relate to the wanting to distance yourself from your race aspect. I try really hard to this day to not wear traditional clothing, to not watch most Bollywood movies (minus 3 idiots, that right there is the biggest fucking gem in all of cinema). I was never bullied for my race since I’ve yet to left my country but there’s still a strange shame attached to it. Even now, I still can’t find myself belonging to where I’m from but I know I won’t fit into a different country either… so I just feel like I belong nowhere. I wish we had more pretty south Asians like raj’s sister in big bang theory, it’s so rare to have that kinda representation.
Thats sad man, I understand somewhat, I am Mexican and used to live in some parts of the US where Mexicans are uncommon. But I noticed that if you go to a place with people that come from the same place, it will be better. Thats just my experience tho

Hi ben my drama is basically that i have a friend that well call Emily. Emily likes to joke around a lot which is usually targeted against me. We go to volleyball together, and we have a volleyball group chat with all of the girls that go there. Shell say stuff like «oh she called me fat» or «she said i was ugly», even tho i didnt say anything to her at all. I was currently in a similar situation with my friends.... I just stopped caring. It's really rough at the start because you will feel very lonely and scared. Also I have some mental health issues to deal with so I was scared about what would happen to me if I was very lonely. But i worked on myself and told myself they are not worthy of my time. I would say that being scared and alone for a bit is a lot better than being miserable for a long time. Also, friends will come and go. But you will be with you everyday. So try to learn more about yourself . Don't feel bad about losing friends. You will surely meet a lot more people in the future. Try to be yourself so you can meet the people who match your vibe. I know it sounds corny, but everything happens the way it does for a reason. If you wanted to do something that didn't happen, it is the Universe telling you that it isn't a good time now, but that doesn't mean you won't ever get to do it. We are all guided in ways that we don't always see. If you had gone when you wanted, something bad might have happened to you. I like to think of it as the Universe telling me to wait. There's no way to really know, but it can be comforting to think of it in this way. When the time is right, it will happen. Don't lose hope and try not to be too disappointed. I hope this helps you deal with the situation.
