Woah, that's some pretty slick guitar playing there, Mister!

Thinking about getting this guitar. Just wondering about the neck. I've been playing strats for a bit.

I like it more than the strat necks I've played, and I've played several different American Strats. The fretwork is fantastic, I love how big the frets are and the way they are shaped. The shape of the neck is extremely comfortable to me, it is one of my most favorite necks I've ever played, probably the most comfortable of them all. There are several versions of the AZ Prestige and I believe all of them have the same neck profile but with different pickups and body styles (including more strat style layouts). If you can find some sort of AZ Prestige in a store then try the neck first. I played 2 different AZ guitars before getting this one just to feel how the neck is. It is not thin and flat like Ibanez wizard necks, it is a medium thickness and it is round. It's closer in feeling to a Suhr than an RG. Doesn't feel remarkably thick or thin, right in the middle.

@Benjamin K Rutledge awsome I was looking premiums but every say go for the az because the neck is perfect and slick. I wish they had cooler colors but I don't even care I just want a favorite.

@@huntersmall6162 congrats man, you won't regret it. The AZ series are fantastic guitars. As for the Krys (that's the Scott Lepage one right??) It is an AZ body and AZ necks, just has different electronics. They would have the same contours and neck profile, just different styling and his custom Fishman pickups and switching. Though I believe all the Polyphia signature AZ guitars (Scott and Tim's) have all been Premium grade. This is the step below Prestige in the Ibanez line. They are still very nice professional instruments built to a high standard, but mine is a Prestige which is the handmade in Japan series, they are very high quality and extremely natural to play. A KRYS or other AZ premium would still be a great instrument but a moderate step down from the AZ Prestige.

Mine has been very good. Better than most strat style whammys. Not quite as good as a well set up double locking system, but less high maintenance.
