In this clip, Young Dro spoke about how rehab transformed him and provided words of support to listeners out there who need the encouragement to get help for themselves. He recounted T.I. imploring him to go to rehab but noted that it didn't work until he wanted to get better for himself. Dro then detailed the 2-month rehab process and the changes he underwent that continue to shape the person he is today on the other side of his addiction.

I saw Dro here in the ATL airport a little over a week ago. I walked up to him, shook his hand, and told him that I was proud of him. We shook hands once more, palm-tapped our chest and that was that.

This is POWERFUL! The part talking about the tears especially. As a clinician, I can confirm many patients who have expressed feeing trapped by their addictions. Literally saying they felt like they were locked behind a glass door watching themselves spiral down this road and being helpless. Like something else was driving their mind and body and they couldn’t do anything.

I know that you dont know me at all Dro, but I'm proud of you man. I feel that pain bro, I had to do the same. Except I was drinking too much alcohol and I just had to quit. I'm 4 years sober now and I feel like a whole different person. I was a hard road but I did it, I broke the curse 🙏🏾💯💪🏾

hopefully he goes into what he actually saw that broke him out of his habit and wanting to seek real help. but that's also a sad realization, somebody you care about having addiction problems and basically you have to sit and wait for them to feel like being helped, and hopefully they don't die before they get the help they desperately need.
