Regarding the hybrid at 13:00, hydrogen is a waste of time for private passenger vehicles. Virtually impossible to find a station, and even if they did exist they only have enough hydrogen for < 10 cars a day. Look how miserably the concept fared in California. Toyota can barely give the cars the way. It would make more sense (but not much) if there was 40kwh battery EV with a ICE engine that kicked in to provide charge, a bit like the i3's range extender. Or a fuel cell that could work off ethanol - at least that way it can be filled up from a petrol station. But really I think it's just a bad idea period - we're already seeing 400 mile EVs and that figure will only get larger as things like solid state batteries start showing up.
I tend to agree. Hydrogen will probably be the fuel for large trucks and EVs for cars and LCVs. Once batteries get close to the 500 mile range the issues relating to range anxiety (which for 90% of car users is not a real issue) will disappear.
@@yeahyeahblah Batteries are getting more energy dense and I suspect that the early adopters for solid state batteries will be drones, aircraft etc. Concerning hydrogen, the big problem with it and planes is that you either have to keep it as pressurized gas or in liquid form and both of those are major issues. The Tesla is more like my cup of tea!! It would last my lifetime, probably another 20 odd years!! I’m 67 years old and looking for my next vehicle, most likely to be a campervan.
What about the high cost of insurance? What about the high cost of depreciation? What about the poor infrastructure and high cost of charging, other than at home? Why do EV channels never cover the negative aspects of owning an EV and how this may change in the future?
Seeing the Emblem (which will not be 5 tons CO2e lifetime, so let's see the reports) and hearing that BMW is back into hydrogen, makes me wonder if the battery costs and ultimately the emissions have really been the critical factor in mfgrs. trepidation with BEV. Don't get me wrong, I don't have faith that any full sized EV is sustainable, regardless of powertrain. They all are too complex with too many parts and require too many materials to build in actual zero emissions rules that we undoubtedly (yes undoubtedly zero LCA) will have to have. So are mfgrs buying time? Yes. But are some actually assuming that hydrogen fuel cell scales and is lower CO2e to produce, without the materials bottlenecks? I don't think that's right, but maybe they do???
The more I look at it the more I hate the new emblem of Citroen. The old emblem was effectively an integrated part of the grill running all the way across the front which looked hella stylish. The new one looks awful, like a cheap plastic plaque just glued onto the front as an afterthought. And can Citroen please stop making terrible SUVs like that C4 and C5, the world already has too many of those as is. Renault however is on a roll with the Megane that won car of the year, the 5 and potentially the 4 not to mention the new Twingo. And that Renault 17 study model is something that brands like Ford should pay attention to: THAT'S how you reinvent a classic car, NOT butcher it like you folks have done with the Capris. BYD REALLY needs to hire new people to think up names for their cars.
Too much surface deep changes, for Citroen in particular there's nothing really to write home about and that's deeply disappointing. A new SUV just makes things worse.
How is hanging a wheelchair high up on the back of a car practical for a disabled person? O, and surely the chair would get covered in road spray and crud, nice to sit on afterwards.
One Huge problem with Citroen… Stellantis! Good looking cars but with some horrible engineering decisions and poor business model maximising profit at all costs
You do know that Stellantis was created with the Peugeot Citroen group taking over Fiat Chrysler Autos. It's the Italian side that has suffered with cuts to engineering and factory closures. Stellantis top management is all from PSA group. Hence why Italian PM Meloni is throwing tantrums 😂

I wish you had spent a little more time with the Ami 4 All. It’s going to be such an important quadricycle for wheelchair users, when it finally reaches the U.K..
(I put my name down with Citroen, to test drive, about six months ago when it was still a concept.
Please don’t alienate your disabled audience too. Thank you. 🙏
Sate Farm Insurance just banned EVs from charging in their own premises due to fire risks.
Toyota had a hydrogen car in California for lease (if I remember it right
Pronounce the second ‘e’ in Emblème as in ‘them’.
Because they don't live in the real world 😂
@@use-oc4mj6nYou said it. Wouldn't it be refreshing to have a channel that was unbiased and covered the pros and cons of owning an EV.
'Embleme' in the Plug-in hybrid / Diesel ICE version, same concept design, pretty please! 🙌
5:16 it seems that the hood edge is reaching american heights with not-so-small child being completely obscured by it 🙄
8:34 R4 doesn't seem to be any better in this respect 🙁
New Citroen Ami range is awful new renault twizy does the double mileage
No chance for Hydrogen vehicles in the UK. `Never-ready` infrastructure, No recharge stations, Not enough performance. Where are the excuses?
Only journalists and governments are interested in "EV Stars". Show me the real, affordable cars i would actually buy!
The Renault 4 and the Fiat 600 could be twins. I’d pick the Renault tho.
BYD REALLY needs to hire new people to think up names for their cars.
someone fired the disign of Citroen pls
I announced that the auto shows in the US are dead……
Too much surface deep changes, for Citroen in particular there's nothing really to write home about and that's deeply disappointing. A new SUV just makes things worse.
Every model change comes with always, an unwanted bloat !
How is hanging a wheelchair high up on the back of a car practical for a disabled person? O, and surely the chair would get covered in road spray and crud, nice to sit on afterwards.
Build your hydrogen car. You won't sell it...
How big you make the battery in an FCEV doesn't matter. It's still an super inefficiënt and way to expensive FCEV running an fools cell 😂
