This is the third video I have watched. Your vlogs about life in Finland are nice and fun. I am gonna binge watch during Christmas. Happy holiday to you and your family. Cheers! Jojo from 🇬🇧
Where did you live before moving to Finland? And why Finland? Just a curious question 😅 My cousin moved there for work he is a chef at a Japanese Restaurant.
Ikea's buffet is not the best but honestly? I'm just happy it exists. Our Christmas food is quite unique due to our roots (peasant fare), but I find it comforting. Ps. Gingerbread with blue cheese is a very new way of eating it. Not everyone likes it.
If people don't like gingerbread + blue cheese, they might have opted for the wrong type. (Try ripe creamy Blue Castello, rather than salty crumbly Stilton) ! Love from Norway ❤
Traditional Finnish ... in a Swedish IKEA restaurant known for Swedish cuisine items like meatballs... But it's not as weird as it sounds. Especially the western coastal part of Finland has old cultural history with Sweden and used to be the eastern part of Sweden. Food related ideas have always travelled from neighbors and even longer distances. Traditions have historic layers. Potatoes originate from southern America and nowadays very traditional in Finland. Rice is traditional Christmas food item, and doesn't grow in Finland. Things are complicated.
