I like the terraced housing section quite a lot. It looks quite authentic for a typical British town. The pathway running at the back of them in particular is very indicative of some places I know. You could easily place in quite a few rows of such housing to indicate a sudden housing boom at some time in the past of this town/city, where one whole section was dedicated to providing cheap housing for workers for nearby commercial/industrial premises. It's looking good. The low density part looks very much like the typical American style sprawl that such games have always seemed to centre on.
#SeniacTwo the issue of the zoning being off when creating grids can be solved by deactivating the toogle 'snap to guide lines'. it breaks the perfect 90 degree angles slighty causing the zone alignment to be off. hope it helps and keep it up i love your vids
"The rent is high because I need to build more buildings." Or, the rent is high because in CS1 the established best practice was to build housing to the maximum lot size allowed. Having not adjusted your playing style to the new game, you've not yet learned that CS2 citizens pay taxes tied to the size of their lots. So creating a few neighborhoods of 2x2 or 3x4 would create affordable housing. Or at least, choice. Mix things up.
You arent connecting to a cul-del-sac though, you're connecting to a roundabout. If you make it a proper cul-de-sac that can be zoned off of then you'll be able to connect pathways.
Next thing you know episode 2: seniac has a skyscraper
You should connect that 1 lane highway to your industrial area cuz then they can export stuff there and they don’t need to come into your city and cause traffic problems.
You need do pay attention to what the citizens are saying. It helps balance your city and grow faster.
A tip: Mix up the themes of the buildings, low-density residences are similar, so it's a cool mix.

Heyy! Is it worth buying it with a gaming lenivo ideapad gaming laptop?
Please try to move to a desktop, and one with a bunch of airflow, as soon as possible. Gaming laptops are notorious for overheating super easily. I suggest moving to a desktop with an i5-13600k CPU, RTX 3060 or better GPU(Preferably RTX 4070), 32GB RAM, and whatever SSD space you need.
Ignoring the heat issues, what is your gpu? Check the VRAM and make sure you have at least 6GB of VRAM and that you have 16 GB of normal RAM. If you do meet both these, you can run the game at low settings but don't expect 60 fps. 4090s can't even run the game at 60 fps right now.

Seniac, maybe rename the city "Foolstown Two/2" or "Foolstown Reborn"
Altho this is fun.
You being piky how youre roads align is a bit cringe that and you are wasting money as it dont refund the full price if at all.
Ignoring the needs will kill youre city.
Also remmber to get parking as soon as you can to minimize traffic jams.
Also ya walkable citys is grate however you have a bad habit of removing all crosswalks makeing it unwalkabel again.
