Kiki’s Delivery Service is simply one of the greatest films ever made, an ingenuously made coming-of-age story by Miyazaki.

Kiki's Delivery Service was the great movie.
That movie was Phil Hartman's final role.

Sad hearing Gene talk about his young son, knowing that he would be dead within a year.

Seeing Siskel say Simon Birch was a best film that hit hard knowing i have a son im not into faith but when death comes you choose sides im just happy Siskel got to see alot of the new world like toy story, dark city, saving private ryan, etc just wished he seen moviea up until 2001 like CTHD, oceans 11, hell even LOTR lol but i think like he showed us to love our kids and life first thats why he kept working my father wasnt in my life but these guys taught me so much fatherhood RIP Siskel

I never even heard of Kiki’s, but now I want to check it out . The animation looks pretty good , too. I’m glad that Gene’s son enjoyed it .

It was required by law that Ashley Judd should be in every movie in the late 90s

Rounders came out 5 years too early. Imagine how much its box office take would’ve been if it came out in 2003, right around Chris Moneymaker’s WSOP win,

Too bad the sound quality is that of listening to people talking in a submarine submerged in jello.

I saw some of Rounders yesterday. I want to see the entire thing (It was done by the same director of Red Rock West and The Last Seduction.).

I love how old this is, I COMPLETELY remember that opening... But amazingly, he said was 24 years of Siskel and Ebert. At THAT point in time. What, were they reviewing Charlie Chaplin, too?!? 🤣🤣

LMAO the poker and strategy in Rounders is first rate? Oh, Gene. I love the movie, but the poker scenes were ridiculous, even in 1998. In the hand against Chan he makes him fold for ONE more limit bet LOL. And the sizing in the KGB hands is absurd; 10x bets and raises.

Siskel is wrong. Damon’s brand of poker is just fine. He knows the odds but is also able to play the player. Tough to do

    • @philcooley55

@@terrygracy8345 the movie came out years before the poker boom that began in 2003. At the time the casino manager was probably correct.
