    USABMX needs to tighten that ship up a little bit with selective enforcement. Billy Griggs got robbed in his last main because some guy was blocking the finish line and Billy had to back out of first to avoid a collision. then there was the lady running across the track, in front of his very same main. That whole main was a cluster. This old dude is training hard for racing after 37 years out. Good inspirational stuff from you as always.

    Good call. The rule, if I remember it correctly, you can’t move over in the last straight to block someone from passing. And the dude clearly did that since the 2nd place rider was gaining momentum and was going to pass him. But I havent raced in 7 years so i’m not sure if the rules have changed

    Another great video. Chase really does have a great team- I wonder whomever decided to let you go at Haro looks at the coverage you get and the results and wonders if that was a smart move.
    Isaacs move was definitely too far, rules state you can't move across and block on the last straight and he went from one side of the track to the other. And the first corner crash was just racing.
    Great seeing you and the family enjoying all of this.

    I remember first seeing Bmx on the TV at the local bike shop in the 2000’s. Rubbing was racing, it was so entertaining. I can see the danger in the aggressive moves, but it makes the race! In my opinion 😁

    The ABA have always had one set of rules for Am riders and one set for high profile riders. The fact that ABA DQ'd Izaac is crazy. I've been T-boned in turns, I've had riders turn their heads to see where I was and then cut over but, none of that mattered because those riders weren't DQ'd. Izaac never turned his head and he was so far in front of the other rider that there was no way for him to even see where the other rider was plus Izaac left the other rider one bike width.

    Watched the race on the live feed, it was a BS call. I know I'm old school, started in 1980, but the guy in front should always have line choice as long as it isn't malicious. I saw no reason for the DQ.

    The PCP made the right decision. The penalty for crossing on the last straight and preventing another rider from overtaking is REL(egation). I would give the same penalty regardless of the rider and category.
    I am an active rider and also a UCI referee and I will use this video (with your permission) to teach our referees as a demonstration of illegal crossing.
    Otherwise again great video, thank you.

    If there was painted designated lanes,fair cop !
    No mirrors...no contact from what I saw. A little unintended impedement but within the mist of battle...
    Have a 2 man drag to settle it .
    Us Aussies are a fair bunch.
    You are all Pro riders and yuz train to win.
    Just tell Izaac to go Full eshaaaay baaaar on the stewards !

  • @jwill55
    @jwill55 ปีที่แล้ว

    Per the rule the DQ was correctly called, but I think the last straight rule takes some advantage away from the leader. If the rider in the lead can close the door going into turns why can't they protect their lead on the last straight?

  • @ericmartin3396
    @ericmartin3396 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I hope it was not the pro that complained about Isaac cutting over. If so, they should not be racing pro or even racing. When i went to my only grands, i had someone come into me on the first straight and i went down. I fractured my foot in the crash. I see it as part of racing. Plus it did not even look intentional. I still raced the rest of my moto's.
