What i love so much about gravity falls is that it’s based off so many things
Mabel and dipper are based of alex and his twin sister ariel
So it’s like a real sibling relationship and not fighting 24/7
Waddles was based of the fact ariel really wanted a pig, and someone on the team had a childhood pet pig named waddles
Pit soda was based of someone on the team’s name
A lot of mabel’s personality was based off, of course, ariel when she was young, boy bands, glitter, sweaters
The lamby lamby dance was based off a embarrassing dance someone on the team did as a kid
The matching cat halloween costume shown in the halloween episode was based off a costume alex and ariel actually wore as kids
Grunkle as short for great uncle was based of how alex’s great aunt told them to just call her graunt (or grauntie i’m not sure)
I feel so bad for alex because of all the pincest comics 😬

For me, Gravity Falls' humor reminded me of early Spongebob humor, but more modernized. That's why I loved the show so much apart from the glorious background art and mood lighting.

I feel so glad to have grown up with Gravity Falls for an animated show it had so much story building, comedy, wholesome moments and amazing characters.
Gravity falls was literally my childhood and to this day I like rewatching some episodes. It’s just so good and the best part is that it can cater to older teens as well as kids on the younger side.

Funny to say there is actually one fan project of Gravity Falls at Russia. It have long story, but actually in work and completely fan made. It’s called Gravipadovo, if you interested.

I agree with this video but I have a gripe with a thing he said. "That's the most boring plot I've ever heard." Yeah no, just, no. It's subjective and not a fact but that isn't really a valid reason for a show to be bad.
Take k-on for example. It's one of the most beloved shows out there and cemented itself as one of the best. What the plot you ask? It's girls in a high school, DRINKING TEA. "The plot sounds boring" isn't really a valid excuse for me, it's the execution that counts

I'm not thinking this a bad show. They just copied a few frames from Gravity Falls to attract attention to themselves. But it's an normal show about problems with the language barrier. Tatars will understand this cartoon more. This cartoon makes fun of Tatar fairy tales.

Even her classmates said he was copying her work. He ended up writing solar shower instead of solar power while copying her work, and failed the test.

If someone is ripping of your creation, take it as a sign that you have outdone yourself.

3:02 I like this video, but, just to put it out there, a lot of new cartoons look very similar to eachother. For example : Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, Star vs the forces of evil, The Owl House etc. Yes, they might have little differences, but I thnk we can agree that the main characters, at least, look extremely similar, which is probably why the example given in the video is of older cartoons.

@LilT Marshall all im saying is that, compared to older cartoons, when art styles varied between bubbly, jagged and everything in between, nowadays, everything feels more bubbly and very similar. For example, there are a lot of videos online about most new cartoon networkain characters and how they look very similar. The head shape is pretty much the same, looking like a bean and there's almost always round eyes with a very circular mouth and small ears. Look at old cartoons and there's way more variety in the way characters were drawn
