@@davarph Also better than the concert of the first july 1977 at the big Madison Square of New York. The sound is perfect here. For exemple in the popular Shine on you Crazy Diamond.
This is pure gold. I was born in 1977 and didnt get to see them unfortunately. But I've been a lifelong fan since I was a teen and Animals is one of my favorite albums. I love finding old live recordings. And the sound quality here is amazing. TH-cam rocks! God bless Pink Floyd and all the Pink Floyd fans all over the world.
Wish I was there, indeed! Thank you for posting this magnificent and incredibly groovy Pink Floyd performance from back in my generation's day, for all of us mere mortals to relish and thoroughly enjoy. Pigs is my favorite, but honestly, how can I choose just one? My only true regret is this is not a video recording. Bravo, absolutely curtains bravo!
I saw them in the fall of 1987 in Houston, Texas in the nose bleed seats. It was great just to hear them live, but yes, it would have been a dream to have heard THE Pink Floyd live.
A great solo on Have a Cigar here! The best I've heard from the tour. BTW do you know does he play a solo near the end of the second Shine on? Probably part 8. After Dave's funky solo and before the grand piano kicks in. And maybe "dueling guitars" with David on Money solo?
I was fortunate enough to catch this show in Atlanta on this tour.I was a 13 yr.old punk smoking pot, cigs, drinking beer and trying to appear much older. It did not work of course and the way that was confirmed was pretty amazing.before the show started,me and a friend went up to the mid level towards the stage to check out "ole'pig"as roger calls it"he's not a very nice pig but he's a big pig.as we were headed back there was this long big haired cat leaning against a pillar with a cop on each side of him.he looked very familiar and it was quite odd as tho' he was flanked by 2 cops,he wasn't being hassled or arrested, more like protected.then, out of the John comes another cat-got 2 cops flanking him as well.he 2 looked familiar, and he had a blazer type jacket with a red floral decoration on either sleeves.he and the blonde cat started laughing, talking and nodding towards us and I noticed a hockney accent.then it hit me.it was page and plant.turns out, they were in town as well for a show and came to catch the floyd and got lost in the omni trying to get backstage.we went back to our seats-told my older sister we had just met led zeppelin-you know, like it's just 1 guy ala Jethro tull, skynyrd skynyrd-which of course,we might as well have said we seen bigfoot.it was like yeah,right-wtfvr.next thing you know, the crowd in the floor seats started parting down the middle like the red sea,and there comes 4 cops with page and plant in tow headed towards the stage..fuckn' crazy shit man.those were the days for sure..I caught the zeppelin show as well-and that's another tale all together.i actually saw elvis that year as well,Fleetwood mac.just one after the other.there was so much good shit out then and it seemed as if it would never end.wtf happened? Pink floyd literally expanded my mind-broadened my horizon.them and zeppelin both.the experience still resonates to this day and hearing this stuff here puts me right back there in the moment.how did we get from there to here? The way is shot..artificial intelligence or anything else artificial is rubbish.somebody push rewind please..resist tyranny always..liberty-or death..pigs rule the world-and that sux.off with their heads!
Just feel fortunate you got to see those great bands in their prime and will always have those memories. A lot of us teens at the time weren’t so fortunate for one reason or another.
Pink Floyd Animals live is great,it needs to come out on CD.It is up to Roger Waters though, who I am to question a lyrical genius like Roger, let's hope he thinks about a CD release of Animals live
Animals is owned by Pink Floyd so it is up to Gilmour and Mason they own the rights , they didn't Play Something from that Album after Roger left because it was heavily influenced by Waters and he wrote the lyrics too , The Only Albums that Roger Owns are The Wall and The Final Cut that is more that enough of course ....The Wall is one of the Best Selling Albums of all time...so i don't Think that Cd Happen because Gilmour almost hate Animals
How fitting that this was performed at a venue which had earlier been a butchery-house for...animals! :) (The title literally means "Animals to/at the Slaughter-house", there's also a famous bootleg called "Les Stones aux Abattoirs!" )😃
Have to laugh at some comments about poor sound quality. Obvi, you peops (sheep) don't have the foggiest! Enjoy what's been presented, preserved and contributed by "real Floyd fans "! COMPRENDE??????
I’ve been listening to some of the us show bootlegs just to hear the fucking IEDs at MSG but this is so much nicer musically, why must Americans ruin everything

This should be pinned.

Shine on part 9 is so extraordinary sad and beautiful.
I refuse to believe that there isn't enough quality film and audio from this tour, to forge into a full length film.
Question of The Century!!
That's The Holy Grale 🌹🙏
Love how the bass line from sheep creeps in at the beginning. It's the little things that count.
Played by David on the album.
@@swinetrek Played by Roger on 74 and 75 tours. David said he just copied what Roger had played in concert prior so Roger could play guitar
Fantastic. The 2nd half of Shine On is exceptionally beautiful.
The better half
The 1977 tour was a heluva tour ! PINK FLOYD at (maybe) their very best ! Great concerto a Paris^
Pigs (Three Different Ones) has never let me down.
My favorite track on my favorite PF album. 👍😁
Thanks, fabulous, good time for you
Exemplary work by Nicky here.

Fantastic. What a big and incredible chance to be present in this concert. One concert for a big story of the Music.
La più grande rok band di tutti i tempi inglese 😍🥳🥰
UNBELIEVABLE
Saw them July 2, 1977 at MSG.....same show sans 💥.
I would have loved to see them live, maybe not at the infamous July 6 concert though
I love the Hammond organ outro on Sheep that isn't on the album.
Best tour ever of floyd wish i could have seen it ..but got to see them in 94
Same here. Live 77 is probably the best Floyd and I saw them in Ullevi Sweden 94... Pretty cool but I missed the whole quartet

Sounds like a soundboard recording...excellent.
Not at all. You can hear people chating near the tape recorder. It's just that the bootleger equipment is as good as the Floyd live sound.
You know who is an underrated bad ass?? Snowy White..
yeah!

you can also hear him in the dual parts in dogs for once, clearest ive heard him doing that part
He's very handsome during his hard work on bass during Pigs (3DO) ;)
White is annoying af every section of the Wall he plays on he ruins with his incessant screeching...underrated for good reason

I wasn’t born before Pink Floyd, but I have to agree, most music today is trash. Rewind
Just feel fortunate you got to see those great bands in their prime and will always have those memories. A lot of us teens at the time weren’t so fortunate for one reason or another.
Ticket prices went up and up.then background vocals crept in and it's like I'm being cheated, Rogers vocals were and still are very powerful.

I have both an mp3 and flacc from their show in Oakland, Ca.
Very very much to egotistical for me don't Care for Roger Waters
It's crazy to me I think animals is the best piece of work Floyd did
One of the very best performances they’ve ever done in my opinion

Is this a Sound Board ?? The audio quality is excellent !! Thanks for share ! subscribed right now :)
No way this is a soundboard. Soundboard would be much clearer.
More likely that it's Pink Floyd's excellent sound system in a good venue taped by a fan using good equipment.
On a soundboard recording you couldn't hear the audience. And the vocals would be louder
Inebriante da pelle d'oca!!!
