Once I realized I could make a car payment with what I was wasting on brand name cigs I started doing some research. I smoke an ultra light menthol. Took several tries but finally came up with the right combination tube and tobacco that is easy on my throat. I use a Krups coffee grinder with a light touch to break down the tobacco then transfer it to a ziploc bag. An electric filler which some say packs it too tight but I don't mind. It takes about 5 minutes to roll a pack of cigs. I bought plastic packs for my 100s and now I spend $1 compared to $7 per pack. It is a huuuuuge savings and there are soooo many tobacco brands out there you are sure to find one that suits you!!

Well - this video says about a buck a pack. I found most tobacco I wanted that was very high grade for $12.99 a pound. Based on various reviews and my own experience - one pound bag of tobacco makes a minimum of 450 king size cigarettes. At $12.99 a pound that is about 2.9 cents per cigarette and adding the cost of tubes that I found that cost $8.45 for a 5 pack of 200 - which is 1000 tubes at $8.45 - that is .085 cents per cigarette. Adding that together (tubes and tobacco) make the cost about 3.75 cents per king size cigarette. That comes to 75 cents a pack and $7.50 per carton. If you smoke a pack a day - right now in Ohio a pack of American Spirit (black pack) costs $12.60. That means $4599.00 per year. Rolling your own comes to $273.75. That means a savings of $4325.25 a year or an average savings a month of $360.43 - so that maans you could join a swimming club and weightlifting gym - like the YMCA with the money you save - or if you already belong to one - could put that money into vitamins, health suppliments, and higher quality food for your overall health and well-being. And what does that mean? Rolling your own might be a healtier option.

When California banned menthol, I started making my own.
Just started rolling my own, thinking I want an electric one now.
When I buy my land in a few months, I plan to grow my tobacco!

I mean 13 bucks for a pound of tobacco,6 for the tubes. That last me 3 or four months right there.otherwise I'd be spending 30 something a week on store cigs. It's a lil investment start with the lil hand injector, you'll be glad you did.Ive been doing it a few years now.

Don't waste your money on a table top manual machine. Get the premiere electric single injector machine. It will last 10 years requires very little cleaning and makes consistent packed smokes. The manual machines tend to jam and tear tunes resulting in ruined tobacco. It gets crushed too fine to use again. It can be used with a simple hand rolling machine and gummed rolling papers. You can buy top filters for those and they pack really easy for on the go making smokes.
The biggest mistake people make is not keeping your tobacco at 60% humidity. All you need for that is good quality Tupperware and some Boveda 65% rh humidity packs.
I will pinch the top of the cigarette tube as it's filling and let it go at 50% full to prevent the tearing of the tip from these very strong machines. Buy some small plastic bottles to hold finished smokes to keep them from drying out or tobacco falling out. You can use the end of a pencil to pack the tip down too. Dried out smokes are harsh and will allow burning bits to fall out and ruin your clothing and furniture. Remember good tobacco does not self extinguish so it's a fire hazard. Be safe and save time of money.

Ok im having trouble with my top-o-matic manual trekked top filter. The machine Is not filling all the way, im doing 100 size cigarette. To your question is yes I have to guard off for the 100 size. Any questions you have for me to better diagnose my problem im having, please ask. Im asking so I can fix the problem first. I just don't want to jump the gun and buy a new one. I wanna try and fix the problem without having to buy a new one. Thank you In advance

Make sure to push some tobacco to each corner when you first put tobacco in the machine. This is one of the best ways to help this problem. Pushing tobacco into each corner of the tobacco chamber and then filling the rest of the chamber evenly helps greatly when making 100's size cigarettes. Thanks for watching!

I picked one up because of cost for manufactured cigarettes. I had a hand roller for the longest (stopped because of the convenience of just buying a pack), but just recently got the top-o-matic.
Once I had it I watched the demonstration available on this channel, personally I don't mind the end to not be packed too snug as I don't smoke them close to the filter. What I ended up doing is taking a day to where I'd roll one every time I wanted a smoke to figure out how I wanted my cigarettes to smoke.
You may also want to check your bag of tobacco, I have a brand known as Black Creek that probably works better in a pipe and not a filtered cigarette. Gambler is a brand I know is cigarette tobacco as well as Top's brand of tobacco. Buglar is another brand that sells smaller bags because they are meant to be rolled without a machine. (even comes with some gummed papers to roll filter less cigarettes).
Hopefully you haven't given up on rolling your own or the machine.

Replace the holder spring (small spring which puts tension on the rubber piece that holds the tube) with a 119 spring from the hardware store. This fixes the issue 100%.
