Have you noticed that Roger Taylor's drums are tuned to sound exactly like a little "explosion" everytime he hits the snare? That's what makes Queen's sound even better. It matches the tone of the Red Special perfectly. And these little details that each musician of this band inputs in the music they make is what makes them true virtuosos..4 geniuses really.

    Lyrics:
    Yeah!
Here we stand, or here we fall,
    History won’t care at all
Make the bed, light the light, yeah,
Lady Mercy won’t be home tonight.
    Yeah,
You don’t waste no time at all,
Don’t hear the bell, but you answer the call
Comes to you as to us all,
And - we’re just waiting for the Hammer to Fall, yeah!
Oh, every night, and every day,
A little piece of you is falling away
But lift your face, the Western Way, baby -
Build your muscles as your body decays.
    Yeah,
Toe your line and play their game,
And let the anesthetic cover it all
‘Till one day, they call your name,
You’ll know it’s time for the Hammer to Fall, yeah.
    Rich or poor or famous,
For your truth, it’s all the same, yeah, babe. (Oh no - oh no!)
Oh, lock your door, but rain is pouring,
Through your window pane (Oh no!)
Ah, baby, now your struggles all in vain, yeah, yeah!
For we, who grew up tall and proud,
In the shadow of the Mushroom Cloud
Convinced our voices can’t be heard,
We just wanna scream it louder and louder and louder,
What the hell we fighting for?!
Ah, just surrender and it won’t hurt at all, no.
You just got time to say your prayers,
Yeah, while you’re waiting for the Hammer to, Hammer To Fall.
Hey! Listen - it’s going to fall, right!
Hammer, you know, ah, Hammer To Fall, yeah!
    Woooo...
    Hey, hey, woo-woo!
    Hah, hah!
While you’re waiting for the Hammer To Fall.
Give it to me one more time!

This was the genius of Queen...they could literally play any kind of music flawlessly, from hard rock, to ballads, to r&b/disco, and everything in between. The four of them had the perfect chemistry to become greater than the sum of their parts and make music that will stand the test of time long after they are all gone.

I think you’re right about the footage, but something is not exactly right with the audio synch even in the live sound version. If you observe Freddie closely (for example during the “let the anesthetic cover it all” there is no way that what we hear is from the footage we are seeing. Maybe they did several takes or took the footage from different show dates?

In the shadow of the Mushroom Cloud
Convinced our voices can't be heard
We just wanna scream it louder and louder and louder
What the hell are we fighting for?
Ah, just surrender and it won't hurt at all
You just got time to say your prayers
Yeah, while you're waiting for the hammer to, hammer to fall
    Hey, yes
Let's get on the floor, yeah
    Hammer
    You know
    Hammer to fall
    Yeah
    Hey, woo hoo
    Ha ha, ha ha
I've been waiting for the hammer to fall
Give it to me one more time

I can't remember who, but someone once said that "a man dies twice, once when he stops breathing, and again when his name is spoken for the last time" In this sense, I believe Queen is as close to true immortality as anyone can manage. I hope there's never a time when no one speaks of these legends.
