I made fire using less capable devices. With creativity you can make bangers using any tool. It's not about the device or brand it's about unlocking your own creativity.
Let’s be realistic folks. For that price, there is no unit that comes even close to this one. And even at launch it was incredible value for money. Let’s also be fair: after all those years, the MPC is still not capable of arranging full length songs with audio that goes beyond the length of a sequence. The SmplTrek is the best standalone device for a creative songwriter who wants to use live instrument and voice recording, apart from perhaps the Deluge.
Aye Ave! Always a blessing when you upload. Any chance you could offer your word on your preference on the smple track vs rolans Sp404 mk2? Im in the market and they are both so similar, but im leaning sample track. Thanks for any advice in advance!
What is it that you're doing? If it's mainly I guess what I'll just call for the sake of it straight ahead hip Hop; I'm going to say go ahead and go with the 404. That being said, this is also a relatively very good instrument in its own right. :)

Yo I guess it depends on what you're doing if you're doing what I will call for the sake of this argument straight ahead hip hop instrumentals for the most point; and then I'm going to say just play it safe go with the 404. That being said you wouldn't be dead in the water in its own right it's a very good machine relative to that. 😊 That though, will be my artistic opinion. 38, going on 39 and I started making beats if you will, at about 16 with old school fruity loops, and I have settled on this evening that we are watching about right now but yeah I'm still going to say go with the 404.
I might have been doing something wrong. but, could not find sample gate in drum mode, could not hear usb audio and input audio at same time, and to delete, you had to stop playback! traded it in for the black box. THE BLACK BOX KICKED ITS ASS!!!
@@AveMcree I still have maybe one or two little functions that I think should be there and then a few wish list things that are nice to haves but yeah, it's a competent track maker now. I've gone from being frustrated to enjoying using it.
Sold mine at the first opportunity, no regrets even with this update. Fair play to Sonicware for at least getting this box to the level it should’ve been at its initial release, may have been a different story then but unfortunately just like time we keep on moving and move I did!
Lol. You are still lurking. Like stalking an ex on social media… you can lie to everyone else but it’s apparent you haven’t moved on. A don’t blame you though. The SmplTrk is sexy and admired by many.
Yo clash I'm hoping you're not having sellers regrets. I'm hoping you're okay because otherwise it seems like an odd waste of time to be commenting and watching this video. And after update 3.0, I'd put it up with just about anything up against anything my mann. Dig. 🎉
@@AveMcree Thanks for the quick reply! Yeah, I would have hoped for 4 hours or more. I remember kicking myself for not opting in with the kickstarter for the Smpltrek when it was on. It seems like a great device aside from the short battery life then. If I end up connecting to the wall plug all the time then I don't see much of a benefit though. I am still tempted to give it a try actually, not sure. It feels so promising nevertheless, it does have stem export right.
Just copped this little beast. It’s sonic signature blew me away. I get the sense this will continue to be a criminally underrated piece in the game.
I need to give this a try but love my liven lofi 12 currently
Dude, I look forward to your videos! It's always a treat because I see or learn something new every time. Keep it up!
Thanks Myron
Scratching my head trying to figure out do I need any more gear. 😂
🤣probably not but that never stops us
👀 If you need a new door stopper then YES 🤣👍 🎧

Omg winning one of these would be crazy 😮 . 🤞🏾
I was hoping you'd revisit the smpltrek great video!
my pleasure
Good job Ave, pretty good mini groove box, especially the update improvements. Thanks for sharing. 🫡
my pleasure Carbon
Crazy this device!!! Still love learning about it even though I will never own one. 👊🧡👍
No doubt! It's getting better every update!!!
Faster way to clear a pattern is just to hold FUNC and press CLR on said pattern👍
Major thanks
This is a dope lil sampler man! Great vid!
In your opinion how do you think the smpltrek’s effects stack up against the 404 MKII’s? Specifically the lofi ones like vinyl sim and cassette sim.
We’re nearly reaching the stage that we expected from the beginning
Nearly

@@hvhvgitaar True. For the price this product has incredible value.

Where can you buy those Tiny Drum Machines? I want them!!! 😉
The company who sold them stopping making it

Can you pitch or adjust volume of all chops at once ?

To be fair, many drum samplers have ruff beginnings. My only big issue was the lack of sample chopping and swing at the beginning.

Yup. Now make one with a large screen, two-octave keyboard and higher quality onboard mic.

Love the marlow sound packs. Picked em up yesterday, levels where real low.

This or the sp404mkii??
MK2 no competition
I'm not answering this question no more lol
MK2 all day, not even close
I wish I had the balls to just chop records up on an MPC and call it "my sample pack".

Blackbox all day.
@@dolo747 Why though?
@@danielfeatherstone674 just my opinion.. I prefer the design, workflow, sampler and sequencer. Also has granular capabilities.

Digitakt all day
For portability thoooo
Why would I want THIS?
Why would you click on the video if you don’t?🤨
If you don't have a 404

Just use a sp mk2
