Thanks Mudman for the comment. It ends up being that when I out the aluminum intake on I used silicone at each end of the manifold. When I reinstalled the intake with a fel-pro set with rubber strips it cured the problem and no more leak. Go to the end of the video and you will see what I am talking about. Original A/C remains removed as well. Aftermarket unit in the future… rooftop with generator for now
Hey a couple things - your AC fittings appear to have been converted to 134A ... (my dad did AC and was an ASE certified tech for 45+ years) ... also - the theory on the oil is that there is no windage tray like modern motors have - so running 5 qt instead of 6 reduces that splatter effect. the PCV - you mentioned is the "Positive Crank Vent" - you could have a front cover leak - and the fan blowing it rearward ... best thing to do would be hose the block down with brakeclean or carb cleaner or something to remove all the oil residue - then either set idle and run it - or drive it a few blocks - and return and look for fresh residue.
Thanks for posting. I know it takes a great deal of time to make these videos.
