I was getting a little burnout from the animated video I'm currently working on (you can see a sneak peek in the beginning, and a little prologue here:th-cam.com/video/LXCiDe9T9yc/w-d-xo.html) so I took a break from that and dedicated this week on remaking the video on prehistoric fish, which was much needed. The old version won't be available for much longer.
Make sure to subscribe and click the notification bell , otherwise TH-cam probably won't show you new uploads.🙃 remember to LIKE it please. that little gesture helps the channel.
Also, you still have some days to submit your idea for the next video on Speculative Evolution (check the community posts to learn about it) Thank you all!!

One of the biggest revelations during my curriculum was that "fish" isn't a monophyletic group. It's just a term we use to signify "cold-blooded vertebrate animal with fins and gills". It doesn't even need to have bones, cartilage is enough to qualify.
BTW that guy held his breath from 2:02 to 4:34, that's some lung capacity right there, mad respect. I hope that's not him drowned and sinking down to the bottom during the credits.

Wait a minute, wasn't Sarcoptherigii the group that land vertebrates are part of? Yes! We are Sarcoptherigii, so it is technically erroneous to place all marine vertebrates with developed gills of fish, is one of the generic and colloquial classification, if all these vertebrates are "fish" the Chondrichites, the Placodermi, the Sarchopterigii etc., if it were to give biological meaning to this, basically all vertebrates would be Fish, with a capital P in our writing, which would represent a phylogenetic group. So we're kind of Pisces hahahahah

I'll just check again, for verification, the "DEVONIAN PERIOD. Animals size comparison and data. Paleoart" video to see the changes about Dunleostus tou did.
And yet, if you really made him smaller and shrunken than the previous version this the latter video, the version we have here is a little too big. In real life, Dunkleosteus was more the size of an average extant Great White Shark.
Still, Dunkleosteus remain an apex predator like the latter.
About the size of the version in this video, the version shown here can however depict a very large specimen, so not an average, since the 2023 study argued that large estimated sizes of D. terrelli were overestimates, and alternatively proposed a maximum length of 4.1 metres (13.5 ft) for the largest known specimen (CMNH 5936).
Also, unrelated, put it's important to point out that study cover mostly, if only, as far I kow, D. terrelli, and not the others species sizes.
It's case to follow for them.
