I had chronic diarrhea for years and many other symptoms along with it.
I never received a proper diagnosis from any of the doctors I went to.
I was getting so frustrated with the most recent doctor visit that I went on the internet and typed in my symptoms.
What kept coming up was “Celiac Disease “.
I then requested the simple blood test to determine if I had it.
Sure enough I tested positive for Celiac Disease.
I stopped eating gluten immediately and within a short period of time a LOT of my symptoms went away.
At the same time I was tested to check my Vitamin D3 level and it was extremely low.
So with going off gluten COMPLETELY and taking Vitamin D3 supplements my health started to improve greatly.

3:20: 💉 Different tests can be done to diagnose chronic diarrhea, including stool tests, blood tests, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy.
1:35: 🩺 Chronic diarrhea is defined as loose or watery stools happening three or more times within 24 hours for at least four weeks, and it can be a symptom of an underlying serious condition.
6:44: 🩺 Understanding the causes of diarrhea, particularly if it occurs at night, is crucial for diagnosis and treatment.
10:04: 🩺 The speaker discusses the diagnosis and potential causes of chronic diarrhea, including C diff infection, absorption issues, and IBS.
13:04: 🚽 IBS is diagnosed by ruling out other conditions and identifying symptoms such as abdominal discomfort and improved discomfort after a bowel movement.
16:54: 🍌 Bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast can help improve symptoms of diarrhea by binding up the stool and giving it more form.
19:25: 🥛 Temporary dietary strategies, such as eliminating dairy, artificial sweeteners, caffeine, alcohol, spicy foods, and fatty foods, can help improve symptoms of digestive issues.

I know without a doubt 20 years of constant stress over my son and his in and out of jail and drug use until his death 9 years ago from meth. THEN I had 5 years of stress dealing with his Don who came to live with us and was on and out of jail and stealing from us until I made him leave 5 years ago. He's homeless and presently in jail.
So I have microscopic colitis. At 75. I told them both repeatedly they were killing me. 😢😢😢

Colonoscopy 18 months ago ruled out bowel cancer - at that point. Polyps were removed - Jonathan didn't mention them? Or whether something can live in our guts for decades eg the amoeba from dysentery? My dad always put his problemm down to the war years in India as a young adult. Any thoughts?

Hmmmm... I am a man myself, but I do know "certain" problems are embarrrassing for people, and especially women in many cases... Unfortunately !
Her weight has almost halved !!!!! I do not know the time perspective here, but she has gone from: Overweight , to Underwieght according to the BMI (body mass index ) charts.... NOT GOOD !!!
Gut problems are widely spread in our society, and getting more and more common. IT IS NOT EMBARRASSING !!! This is not a sexually transmitted disease !!! And that should not be embarrassing to get tested for either ... Please get her to see a gastroentorologist and encourage her to see this podcast.
Dr. Will Bulsiewicz is brilliant !!
My suggestion would be to just start a process, starting with :
      1. Do a test for Celiac´s Disease .
      2. Just a regular blood panel test to see if there major deficiencies in minerals and vitamins.
Best of luck leamatthew800 ! It is most distressing seeing one´s own child like that...

We started adding lots of garlic...I found that I would get a loose bowl quite a few times per quarter. Days of work. I ran a tolerance test, which indicated I should drop some of these foods. Another video completely ignoring idiopathic severe BAM. Upsetting considering how common and undiagnosed it is, also classed as a disability and yet I still lost my job and am unable to work because of it.

Instead of using an acronym that is meaningless to people, assume we don’t know what BAM is.

There is an ‘o’ in the word diarrhoea. It’s difficult to spell, but just remember there is the word ‘hoe’ after the double ‘r’.
I guess the video might have used an American spelling. If that’s the case, it’s no excuse for a British channel.

Because that “o” is absolutely going to clear up massive diarrhea!
