I find when I listen to one of her songs I can't help myself from listening for an hour. I love to hear her sing and I love her mannerisms and I especially love her smile and wave at the end of her song. I turned 14 in 1955 when music took a u-turn and I've heard all the best to come along during these many years, and I have to say she is at the top of my list.
I played this at my grandmas funeral. She was so proud she survived an abusive marriage and proudly lived alone with her dog and stayed connected to her family and neighbors.

Those low notes are just so smooth, so strong, so pure .. her contralto notes are incredible.. it’s is said for it to be not common for women to be able to sing that low
not many mainstream professional musos will put out a solo vocal with next to no sound and video production , with every tiny nuance of the natural voice accordingly exposed. Bravo, a much tougher song than people might think also, I bet that beautiful low register will be even stronger in a year or two. superb , one in a million talent.

This song is so emotional. It first came out, I was about 13. My mom was in the hospital and wanted to come home, I was staying with a neighbor. Anyway, they released her and at night a singer, we became friendly with, Lana Cantrell, sang this on Ed Sullivan, my mother was hooked. Me, a few years later. My best friend imitated Streisand and I was Lana, putting on shows, we both loved to sing. I, then sang it for my mom in a show. It brings all kinds of memories, like more recent, where things are won fairly. But, I'm glad AJ did this, it was a nice job. I enjoyed it. Music enters the soul.

Even after binge watched her other clips, I didnt expect this voice from her. So low and beautiful.
