It's not they don't have deep voice, it's used because it's based on their lore. They have barritones in the group. They're aliens from EXO planet and this song has their evil counterparts known as X-EXO. That's why they use robotic voice. It's not the whole concept of producing kpop song. It's based on their lore. Because you started in the middle, that's why you did not understand it. I'm sure some EXO-Ls will explain to you later on the background and lore.
That's right! This is all because since the beginning of their debut they have been consistent with the initial concept. However, not all of their songs use robotic effects. Incidentally, the 2 songs that have been watched are indeed thick with robotic effects.
When analyzing the song and talking about what is needed and "not needed" in the song, when it comes to EXO, you have to keep in mind what the song is about. For example, the song is called "Obsession" so everything you hear in the song is supposed to be highlighting the feeling of obsession. You should feel a sense of joy with some parts of the song and attacked and annoyed by other parts, while other parts are supposed to sort of put you on edge, or when the song changes styles -- as it slows down -- you're supposed to feel a sense of calm and relief as they lull you into a false sense of peace, etc. The whole song is talking about society's obsession with things. What better way to showcase obsession than the repetitive tempo and lyrics "I want you" that runs in the background throughout the song. Plus, everything, including the structure of the song, was specifically designed because it's helping to tell another chapter in EXO's storyline. EVERYTHING that EXO does is connected, down to the most minute details. The pitch shifting of a member's voice or the use of auto tune, etc. is specifically used as a message within EXO's storyline, and that even often includes the reason why specific members are given certain lines in the song. I guarantee, any time you think something "wasn't needed," there was a specific reason why it was added to the song or video, nothing is random or done just because. Also, just so you know, those aren't "just ending logos" at the end of EXO's MVs. Every MV will have a different logo and they are all designed to specifically go along with the theme of the MV. Plus, if you look, you will notice that each logo, no matter what the design, it will be made up of the letters E X O. It's actually worth sticking around to the very end of the video to see what the logo looks like. And when it comes to Kpop MVs, you really shouldn't end a video until it has officially come to the very end anyway, because more than 50% of the time there is a scene or a specific moment at the every end, even after the ending credits, that is important to the storyline in the MV, or it will help to explain something in a future MV, etc. If you stop a video and there is still time on the red bar, that usually means there is more to the video. For example, I think you missed the very end of EXO's "Obsession" MV, after the SM logo, where they show the planet on fire and the world being destroyed. This scene is an important moment within EXO's storyline and it connects to a lot of other things you will see happening in EXO's other MVs and content.
Obsession was announced as the best K-pop song of 2019 by the Billboard music. The deeper robotic voice is related to their storyline or lore. Not because it's something about K-pop.
Okay, I have already said it in Tempo reaction. EXO has Chanyeol and Sehun who can be go for real deep voice but they aren’t going for it, they want that inhuman robotic demonic deep voice, because it’s goes with their lore, if you notice there is sample continuously playing, for some people it may sound bizarre but they actually went for that bizarreness, it’s feels like you are going insane, EXO has some of the highest vocalists, and deepest too, if they wanted, they could easily do clean deep voice but that's not the vision here.
ohhh....i think you assumed the reasons behind their choices in the production a lil too quick like in the Tempo reaction when you said abt the bridge part that they should have went all out in vocals when it's actually building up to the highlighted acapella and here you said about they didn't need to do the editing in the voice to sound deeper...i honestly don't think it's even a matter of 'need' but rather stylistic choices, as you can see in the mv, even without needing to know their lore and whatnot...there are some demonic wild personas with the wild makeups and paired with the lyrics that are like back and forth conversations....you can see the different/edited voice is to match the scene and lyrics(though who knows, i could be wrong). i sincerely pray you won't react to Lotto for your own good. you will definitely hate it haha and to know whether they need the autotune/editing or whether it's merely creative choices, that's the reason to watch the live stages. damn.. why am i talking like an Exo-L? i don't think i am...yet. i'm just watching tons of Exo reactions recently(and more like, Chen's recent stan probly) and don't worry it's normal to hate those robotic editing/autotune...i hate it too...just that the reasonings might not simply be what it seems(though sometimes it does).
Exactly he criticized the first bridge of Tempo claiming to be bland and should add some high notes and runs, As someone who has been listening to kpop and Music in General and pay attention to detail,I think if they add tons of high notes and runs there, it would be so busy to listen and exhaust the audience. producer purposefully made the first bridge a bit less complicated because he wants to surprise the audience with the 2nd acapalla bridge. I think before any criticism, any one should listen to the whole song first to understand whether It's going well with the next verses or not . But if It's his style of reacting, he is welcome to do that but as Exo-L we will give him the reason behind it, explain everything. Wait, you are not an L?😂 but you sound like one, Someone call the doctor and do some test on you, I think you will be diagnosed as EXO-L though😂
@@SadiaIslamShouki uh'oh....i'm no fan of going to doctors lol. other than for MC(i did get the pun, i do think i'm kind of overdosed on watching Exo reactions from various channels, need to stop). yeah i think the reactor based it on the usual music production but kpop can be a mix bag with different styles/intentions(based on my just 19 years of listening to kpop and the various phases of it) especially for groups with heavy planning and complex structure like EXO. i just think for Tempo's bridge before the acapella, if it's bigger and grander it would be an overkill n might lessen the impact of the acapella. just an opinion. i still don't consider myself an exo-l since i have always being intensely dedicated to my groups lol(kinda? but they're mostly disbanded/inactive sadly) and with Exo, i'm more like...intrigued? don't know/follow enough to be considered part of the fandom. i have successfully not being interested in any big name popular groups all these years, but i will admit i checked out many Exo title songs in the past(Exo and Twice are probly the only big name groups i bothered checking out various releases), and tmi...i now have a version of Exist album for some reason and i am listening to a Bside from their Don't Mess Up My Tempo album(i think) at the very moment of writing this comment.
@Chica_21-qk1fm i think id have to agree 😂 as an exol for more than 5 years, i only have 1 album of them. I knew of them before but didn't bother checking them out, but boy when i heard a song, i extremely found it interesting and liked it.
@@hslpt3 Oh good look with exploring EXO's discovery. I hope one of the songs turns you into a fan😅.Personally my favourite albums are Obsession, like when I first started, I didn’t like obsession because my knowledge on Music was very different,I am from south Asia so pure vocal, less vocal effects, traditional composition was my thing. But then after month, I found myself singing "I want ya, I want ya",I really love the continuity and experiment in this album, DMUMT album is definitely one my favourite, War is another album I truly enjoy, And despite DFTF being just an abandoned album of EXO, hardly gets attention even from the members, It’s really close to my heart( most importantly, I remember I enjoyed that whole experience after a while)
For vocal magic try : "Let me in", "Miracles in December ", "For Life", "Sing for you", "Universe", "what is love" For a mix of dance, rnb, vocals: "Overdose", "call me baby" "history" "growl", "hear me out", "cream soda", "love shot" For very experimental with heavenly vocals "Wolf" ,"mama" Other song, when heavy pitch and autotune are used as part of the concept is "Lotto", you just watched the other 2. 😊 I don't really know where to put "Kokobop" and "power" 😅
Ko ko bop is Reggae music with rnb and pop elements, Purely a Summer bop. I think, He will like Power's Spotify version, Power is actually a great EDM song that can be played in sports but If someone who likes the song more rather than video experience then They will hate power, As EXO-L, I like watching the video Because members are so cute there but streaming it is not my cup of tea,I would rather listen to it in Spotify, and watch the concert version because concert is Power's best place.
@@SadiaIslamShouki I meant I didn't know where to put them into, "vocal magic", "mix of dance RnB and vocals" or "Experimental" I guest they could go in Experimental.
Ooh I don't think any exol would say that you are random or idiot , don't say that about yourself. It's just the producers thing, not the members , they did it before putting autotune in a song when EXO didn't need it.He said him self
The effects they have on their voices in their songs is not because they think it is needed. It is for effect. The question is not, do they need the lower pitched effect, but what does that lower pitch do for the song. In this song it adds to the creepiness and unease, which works since the song is about obession and toxicity.
EXO concept is that they are aliens with superpowers from EXOplanet that came to earth sent by The Mama ( mama in korean means majesty) to protect us and defend us from the evil of the red forces that try to destroy the tree of life and steal EXO's superpowers. When you hear a distorted voice it represents the red forces. For example in Tempo, the low voice you wasn't a fan of is the red forces controlling the member. They were in the red cube which is also a representative of the red forces. Here in obsession EXO (all in black) is fighting against X-EXO (colorful outfits), they are their evil clones/ contraparts created by the red forces. In their debut mv Mama the introduction tell us about them: "When the skies and the grounds were one, the legends, through their twelve forces, nurtured the tree of life. An eye of red force created the evil which coveted the heart of tree of life, and the heart slowly grew dry. To tend and embrace the heart of tree of life, the legends hereby divide the tree in half and hide each side. Hence, time is over-turned and space turns askew. The twelve forces divide into two and create two suns that look alike into two worlds that seem alike. The legends travel apart. The legends shall now see the same sky but shall stand on different grounds, shall stand on the same ground but shall see different skies. The day the grounds be kept a single file before one sky in two worlds that seem alike, the legends will greet each other. The day the red force is purified, the twelve forces will reunite into one perfect root, a new world shall open up." EXO debuted as a 12 member group in 2012 separated into EXO-K and EXO-M. EXO-K was formed by 6 Korean members and sang in Korean, EXO-M was formed into 4 Chinese members and 2 korean members and they sang in Mandarin. Each member of EXO-K had a contrapart in EXO-M where their superpowers aligned. After the MV "Overdose" 2 chinese member left and then after "call me baby" another left. So they couldn't follow strictly the lore from mama. But when Obsession when out, the Last chinese member, Lay, wasn't available to participate and 2 of the Korean members were in the military, so in obsession the part when it say "when the 12 legends reunite" was brought back. The red force was trying to open up a new world by creating contraparts. 😊 They also have a parallel universe subplot to the lore where they become wolves with superpowers ( wolf mv) wolf is very experimental song. EXO'S superpowers: 💧Suho: water ❄Xiumin: frost 🌷Lay: healing 🌟Baekhyun: Light ⚡Chen: lighting/thunder 🔥🐉Chanyeol fire/phoenix and flight/dragon ( obtained after 1 ex member left it can be seen in his teaser for Electric kiss and is the reason his powers went out of control) ☄D O: Earth/force/ gravity ( technically called Force but he has earth powers similar to gravitational forces) 🌀Kai: teleportation and telekinesis ( obtained when his counterpart from exo-m left) 🌪⏳Sehun: wind and time control ( same as Kai and Chanyeol. He used to stop time in concerts)
See, sometimes in music, a lot of things do not need, Especially when they are good vocalists, But you also need to realize, These effects aren’t originally to hide lackings but enhance something or sometimes stylistic choice, it’s not because in kpop everything in extra but Kpop allow producers to go beyond and experiment, Obsession was named as the best song of 2019 by billboard, because how smartly it was produced, how they tell the story without telling the story.EXO can literally sit with an acoustic guitar and do a 3 hours concert with ease, They don’t NEED vocal effects or even instruments to sound good but they use it to change up, experiment, and make the sound to the next level. When Obsession released, I was just discovering EXO, and I didn’t actually like it Because before that my musical knowledge was limited to Indian music+Bangla music and Western pop, Which is smooth, traditional, easier composition and high quality vocal(EXO is the only kpop group who meet my good vocal criteria) I felt, Obsession is so over the top, How can I like it. Now, Half of my days I spend singing, " I don’t think so" or " Saranghaeo"( another EXO Weird song😂)
I appreciate your opinion about not liking sound effects. You're right, Sehun can do it. It's just not the point. The use of sound effects is not because their vocal colors are not diverse. However, because it's part of the concept. SM gave birth to EXO with a million theories that EXOLs had to solve. Each member has their own superpower. Yes, it's confusing, but the fact is that not all boy groups are born with a simple concept. EXO comes with a consistent concept since their debut. That's why every comeback has a special theme. The use of sound effects is related to the storyline they build. Maybe, you can also read the lyrics of the song so you understand that the song "Obsession" tells about EXO and X-EXO. Once again, everything is related to the storyline. So sound effects are needed to differentiate them.
it's all about their Lore , that robotic voice was a redforce. I'm a veteran L but I'm not good at explaining story lines, so might asking help to my co-eri's who knows every detail s of this lore 😅😊
Perhaps listen to the entire song and the meaning of it first. There is specific reason for it. Also, you'll be better off not going into new groups expecting something before listening to it.
Listening to EXO's music doesn't stop at "good" or "bad". With EXO, we can't just enjoy the song. 🤣 We have to think about solving the series of stories built in comeback latest. Every EXO MV is always connected to other MVs.
"they wanting to hava a deep voice guy but they don't have one" lol wattahell are u yapping about. i'm talking because i've listening to EXO since 2018 and i'm pretty sure EXO is not lacking in vocal department. . that is why we want you to watch their live concerts , fans meeting and killing voice performance but you reject it. EXO are called the kpop vocal kingssss for a reason. LOL DUDE u're funny guy
What you saw in the "Obsession" MV was that EXO's doppelgangers were actually their alter ego clones and they were using their superpowers, such as Chanyeol with his fire power, Sehun uses his wind power to deflect the arrows, Baekhyun uses his power of light as a saber in the fencing battle, Chen uses his ability to control electricity (because he has the power of thunder and lightning) to manipulate something to do with the TVs that are playing behind him and Suho (the one with red hair) controls water in the room with all the pictures of water, etc. to fight their other selves. At the very end -- which I think you missed because you stopped the video too soon -- we see the planet on fire because it's supposed to show how the world is coming to an end as EXO (the good guys in all black) and X-EXO (the evil ones in the colorful outfits with crazy hair and makeup) battle for control, etc. (Each of the members are playing 2 different characters.) X-EXO has been created by the evil Red Force and EXO and X-EXO are fighting each other. EXO are trying to prevent X-EXO from taking over and corrupting humanity and X-EXO are trying to stop EXO from finding the Tree of Life and putting the two halves back together and restoring peace, etc. To truly understand EXO, you need to be aware that EXO debuted in 2012. "Mama" is EXO's debut song and MV and it's how EXO was introduced to the world and it explains the group's concept -- and since then, everything SM Entertainment does branches off from that storyline. From day one, EXO's concept is that they are aliens from planet Exo and they came to Earth with superpowers to protect the Tree of Life from the Red Forces. Each of the members has a superpower that is unique to them and almost every MV will have at least one, if not all of them, using their powers. Now you also need to know that In the beginning there was 12 members and they were split up into 2 groups EXO-K and EXO-M. EXO-K sang and performed their songs in Korean and EXO-M sang and performed those same songs in Mandarin Chinese. EXO-K had 6 Korean members and EXO-M had 4 Chinese members and 2 Korean members. So, to really understand their full origin story, if you haven't yet, you have to watch both the K and the M version of "Mama", because the EXO-K version focuses on the K members and the EXO-M version focuses on the M members. However, since then, 3 of the 4 Chinese members have left the group, but there is still one Chinese member left, Lay. (Any performances or MVs you watch that took place prior to May 2014 you will see all 12 members.) However, now -- because they no longer have enough Chinese members -- they no longer do separate promotions, but they still produced almost all of their MVs and main songs in both Korean and Mandarin, they just now promote as EXO with 9 members. However, in the "Obsession" MV there are only 6 members -- Suho, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, Kai and Sehun -- because 2 of the members -- D.O. and Xiumin -- are on hiatus during this comeback as they serve in the military; and due to the political issues between the Korean and Chinese government, Lay was unable to participate in activities with the group. Therefore, each new MV or project from EXO tells another part of the story, and over the years we fans have created a timeline and idea of what we think each part of the story is telling us. However, the introduction of "Obsession's" part of the story really threw all of our theories for a loop, and it has made us question everything we previously have ever thought was happening in EXO's storyline. On the surface level, one interpretation of the lyrics could be that it's talking about obsessed fans. But EXO songs never have only one meaning. If you delve in deeper, it's actually talking about society in general and people's greed for material goods, money, fame, etc. All the things that people can become obsessed with that aren't what they truly need. With EXO's storyline it is thought that the Red Force is controlling humanity by preying on our gluttonous greed for all things material, and making us forget about showing each other love, compassion and respect, etc. The MV starts out with the red and blue light because it's supposed to represent how EXO are currently battling with X-EXO and the Red Force for control. In EXO's MVs when we see red light or anything that is red, this represents the Red Force, and when we see blue light or anything that is blue, this is thought to represent EXO. Therefore, when we see red and blue in one scene or purple -- red and blue mixed together make purple -- this is showing how the line between the two sides is being blurred and they are fighting each other, etc. Since "Obsession," some think maybe EXO has been trapped somewhere from the very beginning and it has been X-EXO that we have been following all along. But I think it's still even more complex than that. I think at times we have been watching EXO, and at times we have been watching X-EXO -- with the release of "Obsession" we have only just discovered that the story hasn't necessarily been showing EXO the whole time. With the new information provided to us through "Obsession," it also makes me question how Lay fits within the X-EXO/EXO storyline. Maybe he is one of the members who has been able to break free or avoid the Red Forces' control. In Lay's solo MV for "Sheep," the Allen Walker relift version, we see everything burning outside as if an apocalypse is happening. Maybe "Sheep" is showing us the planet burning from Lay's viewpoint, like we see the world burning at the end of the "Obsession" MV. And we now think it is linked to EXO's new "Let Me In" MV, where we see a meteor on a collision course for Earth and EXO are trying to figure out how to prevent it from destroying the world. Also, I believe that the storyline in "Obsession" is connected to SuperM's debut "Jopping" MV storyline. If we pay attention to what Baekhyun and Kai were wearing in "Obsession," those all-black outfits are very similar to the black outfits that Baekhyun and Kai are wearing in the "Jopping" MV. Kai is even wearing the same backpack parachute in both MVs, which seems to be SM Entertainment's way of making sure we see the connection between those MVs. Therefore, it is thought that, as part of SuperM's storyline, EXO's Baekhyun and Kai have gathered the best of the best of SM's groups -- Taemin from SHINee, Taeyong and Mark from NCT, Ten from WayV and Lucas who is a former member of WayV (now a solo artist) -- to help them battle the Red Force, and maybe, eventually, take down X-EXO. Just like the Marvel Avengers come together as individual superheroes with their own storylines to create the Avengers and to fight evil, it is thought that SuperM is coming together to create the ultimate supergroup to help EXO fight the evil and corruption inflicted on humanity by the Red Force. Unfortunately, to make it even more difficult to understand, each part of the story is not necessarily in order, so we as EXO-L (EXO fans) have to analyze every aspect of all of their teasers, MVs, song lyrics, albums, concert VCRs, choreography and even live performances and piece it all together to understand the story behind it all. And not only are EXO's and SuperM's MVs and storylines connected, but pretty much all of SM's groups have storylines and concepts that connect together, which is designed to become part of one giant graphic novel or movie in the SM Culture Universe. To help you pinpoint the powers being used in EXO's MVs and live performances, here is a list of the members and what their special power is. EXO-K 🌊 Suho (Kim JunMyeon) is the leader of the group and he is a lead vocalist -- his power is the ability to control water (Fun fact: Suho in Korean means guardian, as in the guardian of EXO. That's why as the leader of EXO, his stage name is Suho.) 💡Baekhyun is a main vocalist and his superpower is the ability to control light. 🔥Chanyeol is the main rapper and lead vocalist -- his power is the ability to control fire and his spirit animal is the phoenix. 🌏D.O. (Do KyungSoo) is a main vocalist and his power is the ability to control earth (dirt), which gives him super strength/force. ☄Kai (Kim JongIn) is a main dancer, lead vocalist and sub-rapper and his power is teleportation (Kai means opening, as in a door or gateway, so his stage name is meant to symbolize his role in the group.) 🌪Sehun is the youngest member of the group and he is a lead rapper, lead dancer and a vocalist -- his power is the ability to control wind. EXO-M ❄Xiumin (Kim MinSeok) is the oldest member of the group and he is a lead vocalist and lead rapper and his power is the ability to control snow/ice (frost). 🦄 Lay (Zhang Yixing) is the Chinese member of the group, he is a main dancer, lead vocalist and rapper -- his power is the ability to heal anything. 🌩Chen (Kim JongDae) is a main vocalist and his power is the ability to control thunder/lightning/electricity. (As you can see, Xiumin and Chen were given stage names that sounded more Chinese so they would fit in better in EXO-M because they are the Korean members of the Chinese group.) The Chinese members who are no longer part of the group, but are still an important part of EXO's storyline: 🐉Kris was the leader of EXO-M and he was a main rapper and vocalist -- his power was the ability to fly and his spirit animal was a dragon (Kris left the group in April 2014.) 💭Luhan was a main vocalist and his power was telekinesis -- the ability to control things with his mind. (Luhan left the group in October 2014.) ⏲Tao (Z.Tao) was a lead rapper and vocalist and the martial artist of the group, so he did the flips and stunts in the group's routines. His power was the ability to control time. (Tao ended activities with EXO in August 2015.)
Exo use different types of effects because everyone knows that they can sing at this point, so they just play with their songs. Exo are the vocal kings so they don't have what to show anymore just to have fun with their songs😊
Recommend obsession album on this not all members are ,but I think is one of the best albums from exo, the bsides and exo concert are literally on different level, the standard
If you want to listen pure vocals then listen "Let Me In", "Miracle in December", "Sing For You" And "Universe" Just enjoy their amazing vocal tone and harmonies. For understanding their lore, please react their debut song, "Mama" Their latest comeback "Cream Soda", they flex their vocals there. Most viewed MV song "Love Shot" Thankyou
Please check out - EXO - Universe, Sing for you and Let me in MV . Its more on the vocals & you wont be able to understand whats going on the MV keep in mind EXO has Lore and music Video is based on that universe & Sing for you have some deep meanings in MV ❤
the vocal effects you're talking about aren't necessarily used for correcting pitch all the time.. it's just a stylistic choice to add to the concept and vibe of the song. like t-pain doesn't need autotune at all but he uses extravagant autotune all the time in his songs because he likes the sound and vibe of it.
Music video suggestions for you to react to! :)) - MAMA (their debut song) - Cream Soda (most recent release from them) - What is Love (pre-debut song) - Wolf (very experimental) - Call Me Baby - Miracles in December (a classic ballad... prepare yourself for it!) - Electric Kiss (only the short ver. is officially released, but you can listen to the long version out there with some watermarks... it's worth a listen!) - Love Shot - Overdose
Everyone's comments are valid, and I love what all of the different sounds and pitch changes represent in the message of the song. But you also are entitled to your own opinion about what sounds good or not so good to you! It's your reaction after all :)
Thank you for reacting to EXO, and yeah you said you're in the music industry for quite a while. However, you need to understand that music producers added effects to enhance the storytelling in the song, not just to do some vocal trickery. So as to deliver the OBSESSION atmosphere particularly with this one. We appreciate the reaction but please do yourself a favor Sir, STAY AWAY FROM EXO.
I hope he reads the comments of EXO-Ls' explanation while some are still being patient and before he says something that might seem offensive but just uninformed in his part. You can't claim ignorance anymore because for the 3 videos I've seen, the fans have been trying to explain as short but comprehensively as they can.😅
If you just want to hear their vocal just watch their live show, EASY. And i was already mad with the other video tho when you say "do they do other song than just strong music?" Yah they debut even before the other that you know do that stuf
I'm sorry to hear that you believe that, but I wouldn't think 10% criticism and 90% praise of the group would merit one to think I don't like them. This is a sign of emotional instability on your end and if this slight bit of criticism of the group bothers you that much, I would in fact agree that you have had enough of my reactions. Unless you realize your own overreaction and the fact that a disagreement of opinions, preferences, literally anything, doesn't equate to hate.
Thank you for reacting EXO. We appreciate it. But i have something to say, you can’t really recognize their voices unless you’re reacting on their live videos. The production did it for MVs. Why would you try their live vocal concerts and killing voice.
Please do your research first the robotic voice is not there because they can’t do it it’s part of their lore. You can say you don’t like it but you can’t say they don’t need it they can do it with their voice cuz it’s a stylist choice chosen to support their lore. We all know they can sing.
Ur not a fan of that? U just started reacting lol. Ask Ateez, they might explain it to u, lol. EXO can sing any style or genres. And don't be like u know better than their producers lol. U can hated it and stop reacting EXO. Stop saying " i don't think they don't need it," lol, this song were chosen as best in 2019 by Billboard critics, instead of chosen by American song or album. If u react to drag them down to put up Ateez, I don't think it's a good idea. It's better u stop reacting EXO. If u keep criticizing EXO, grrrr!
I'm sorry to tell you Sir . But I think you're analysis in all EXO MVs were all base on your own preference. I think you should only stick on Ateez.. coz you're not fit on reacting on EXO ... I'm very sorry to tell this... But you only annoyed us... You doesn't really like EXO... Why react on their MVs if you don't like theirsong??!! I don't want to assume but are you only doing this for views and for the follows, and subscribes?!?!
Please do your research first the robotic voice is not there because they can’t do it it’s part of their lore. You can say you don’t like it but you can’t say they don’t need it they can do it with their voice cuz it’s a stylist choice chosen to support their lore. We all know they can sing.
I'm sure some EXO-Ls will explain to you later on the background and lore.
indeed
Up
That's right! This is all because since the beginning of their debut they have been consistent with the initial concept. However, not all of their songs use robotic effects. Incidentally, the 2 songs that have been watched are indeed thick with robotic effects.
Actually they used sound effect because its a voice of their alter ego. This is the concept in this song.

@@hslpt3You definitely sound more L than I can ever be. No way I can be convinced otherwise
But then after month, I found myself singing "I want ya, I want ya",I really love the continuity and experiment in this album, DMUMT album is definitely one my favourite, War is another album I truly enjoy, And despite DFTF being just an abandoned album of EXO, hardly gets attention even from the members, It’s really close to my heart( most importantly, I remember I enjoyed that whole experience after a while)
For vocal magic try : "Let me in", "Miracles in December ", "For Life", "Sing for you", "Universe", "what is love"
For a mix of dance, rnb, vocals: "Overdose", "call me baby" "history" "growl", "hear me out", "cream soda", "love shot"
For very experimental with heavenly vocals "Wolf" ,"mama"
Other song, when heavy pitch and autotune are used as part of the concept is "Lotto", you just watched the other 2. 😊
I don't really know where to put "Kokobop" and "power" 😅
Up
Ko ko bop is Reggae music with rnb and pop elements, Purely a Summer bop.
Most of exo have low speaking voices
.while the two rappers are Baritone naturally ...its a stylistic choice for the song and lore....
Ooh I don't think any exol would say that you are random or idiot , don't say that about yourself. It's just the producers thing, not the members , they did it before putting autotune in a song when EXO didn't need it.He said him self
I agree!
I've seen you do 3 EXO reactions. I don't think EXO is for you.
In their debut mv Mama the introduction tell us about them:
"When the skies and the grounds were one, the legends, through their twelve forces, nurtured the tree of life. The day the red force is purified, the twelve forces will reunite into one perfect root, a new world shall open up."
EXO debuted as a 12 member group in 2012 separated into EXO-K and EXO-M.
They also have a parallel universe subplot to the lore where they become wolves with superpowers ( wolf mv) wolf is very experimental song.
EXO'S superpowers:
💧Suho: water
❄Xiumin: frost
🌷Lay: healing
🌟Baekhyun: Light
⚡Chen: lighting/thunder
🔥🐉Chanyeol fire/phoenix and flight/dragon ( obtained after 1 ex member left it can be seen in his teaser for Electric kiss and is the reason his powers went out of control)
☄D O: Earth/force/ gravity ( technically called Force but he has earth powers similar to gravitational forces)
🌀Kai: teleportation and telekinesis ( obtained when his counterpart from exo-m left)
🌪⏳Sehun: wind and time control ( same as Kai and Chanyeol.
EXO, ATEEZ AND STRAY KIDS are the reason my playlist is so big.
YES!!! 🔥🔥🔥
I don't think you understand why they're using the vocal effects. They're there for a reason. To set the mood of the song.
vocal kings 👁️👄👁️
You have to listen "Let me In", "Killing voice" please ❤
(Each of the members are playing 2 different characters.)
X-EXO has been created by the evil Red Force and EXO and X-EXO are fighting each other.
EXO-K
🌊 Suho (Kim JunMyeon) is the leader of the group and he is a lead vocalist -- his power is the ability to control water (Fun fact: Suho in Korean means guardian, as in the guardian of EXO. That's why as the leader of EXO, his stage name is Suho.)
💡Baekhyun is a main vocalist and his superpower is the ability to control light.
🔥Chanyeol is the main rapper and lead vocalist -- his power is the ability to control fire and his spirit animal is the phoenix.
🌏D.O. (Do KyungSoo) is a main vocalist and his power is the ability to control earth (dirt), which gives him super strength/force.
☄Kai (Kim JongIn) is a main dancer, lead vocalist and sub-rapper and his power is teleportation (Kai means opening, as in a door or gateway, so his stage name is meant to symbolize his role in the group.)
🌪Sehun is the youngest member of the group and he is a lead rapper, lead dancer and a vocalist -- his power is the ability to control wind.
EXO-M
❄Xiumin (Kim MinSeok) is the oldest member of the group and he is a lead vocalist and lead rapper and his power is the ability to control snow/ice (frost).
(As you can see, Xiumin and Chen were given stage names that sounded more Chinese so they would fit in better in EXO-M because they are the Korean members of the Chinese group.)
The Chinese members who are no longer part of the group, but are still an important part of EXO's storyline:
🐉Kris was the leader of EXO-M and he was a main rapper and vocalist -- his power was the ability to fly and his spirit animal was a dragon (Kris left the group in April 2014.)
💭Luhan was a main vocalist and his power was telekinesis -- the ability to control things with his mind. (Luhan left the group in October 2014.)
⏲Tao (Z.Tao) was a lead rapper and vocalist and the martial artist of the group, so he did the flips and stunts in the group's routines. His power was the ability to control time. (Tao ended activities with EXO in August 2015.)
Thanks reaction EXO . Exo is one of the best Korean boy groups, has a beautiful voice 👍👑
Exo use different types of effects because everyone knows that they can sing at this point, so they just play with their songs. Exo are the vocal kings so they don't have what to show anymore just to have fun with their songs😊
EXOの反応ありがとうございます。
I appreciate the reaction. With EXO one would have to study them to fully understand their concept.
Call me baby reaction please
Up! This is the most awarded exo song in different music shows garnering 17 awards. 🎉❤❤❤🏆🏆🏆
You must to react them in live stage their vocal are really good😊
In due time!
Recommend obsession album on this not all members are ,but I think is one of the best albums from exo, the bsides and exo concert are literally on different level, the standard
If you want to listen pure vocals then listen "Let Me In", "Miracle in December", "Sing For You" And "Universe"
Just enjoy their amazing vocal tone and harmonies.
For understanding their lore, please react their debut song, "Mama"
Their latest comeback "Cream Soda", they flex their vocals there.
Most viewed MV song "Love Shot"
Thankyou
at 7:27 they didn't do ittt. That's just the voice of Chanyeol who's in the video with big ears. He really has a baritone voice
- MAMA (their debut song)
- Cream Soda (most recent release from them)
- What is Love (pre-debut song)
- Wolf (very experimental)
- Call Me Baby
- Miracles in December (a classic ballad... prepare yourself for it!)
- Electric Kiss (only the short ver. is officially released, but you can listen to the long version out there with some watermarks... it's worth a listen!)
- Love Shot
- Overdose
MAMA has been done! I'll check out the rest! Ty!
@@M-Reactz-z7y no problem. Thanks for the reaction videos!! We Ls (name of the exo fandom is EXO-L) appreciates it ~
Everyone's comments are valid, and I love what all of the different sounds and pitch changes represent in the message of the song.
EXO-k Mama / Wolf / What is love / call me baby / growl
Ooohh yess wolf!!!
I hope he reads the comments of EXO-Ls' explanation while some are still being patient and before he says something that might seem offensive but just uninformed in his part. You can't claim ignorance anymore because for the 3 videos I've seen, the fans have been trying to explain as short but comprehensively as they can.😅
Kai from exo are a role model for SAN ATEEZ jajaja they do a rover challenge a successful FAN HE MEET HIS IDOL 🫶🏼🤧🥲
💖💖💖
If you just want to hear their vocal just watch their live show, EASY. And i was already mad with the other video tho when you say "do they do other song than just strong music?" Yah they debut even before the other that you know do that stuf
Can you react to love shot, cream soda, and don't fight the feeling by Exo they are completely different vibes from dark concepts
Love Shot has been done! I'll check out the others! Thank you! :D
You just use exol to spice up your videos... If you don't like please stop
I've had enough of your other reactions.
Live stuff is set for the future! 😉
Please don't do exo again... Stay away
Please do your research first the robotic voice is not there because they can’t do it it’s part of their lore. You can say you don’t like it but you can’t say they don’t need it they can do it with their voice cuz it’s a stylist choice chosen to support their lore. We all know they can sing.
Exo monster react please
It's already been uploaded on my channel!
