    Fantastic layout and a superbly staged train. Especially the sound of the locomotives and the birds.

      You're right, Ed has a very nice railroad. His layout is quite large too, takes up his whole basement.

    Outstanding scenery work and detail, and from is shown, layout is fantastic. The climbing shot over the trestle up grade is awesome. Thx 4 sharing..

      Yeah that shot took two runs if I recall, it was hard to time the train with my motorized camera.

    Amazing scenic detail! I walked part of that line in the early 2000’s. It was spring break and it snowed! Crossing those trestles on foot covered in snow gave me the heebie jeebies…(the railway was not active at that time and we had a guide).

      Oh wow! I think I'd be right there with you on the reactions with the snowy bridge part.

    On a cold snowy day looking at your layout makes me want to grab a pair of cut offs, flip flops and a cane pole and head to that creek!!! Very detailed!!!

    Struggling uphill, notch 8. Mighty scenery. Great Sound. What else can we ask for ?
    A little weathering of the rolling stock would enhance the realism though.

    Very nicely sceniced model railroad! The only exception is the first shot looking into the tunnel which is lacking a tunnel liner. That shot shows why tunnel liners, albeit a pain to build and install, are necessary scenic elements

    • @Tracksidemodelrailroading
      @Tracksidemodelrailroading  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The owner is still working on the layout, it was only about 50% done if that. I'm sure he plans on doing liners, his modeling is top notch.

    I don't understand the use of Union Pacific with Northern Pacific? Northern Pacific became Burlington Northern in 1970. other than that nice set up.

      Look up "camas prairie railroads in the 1970s" on Google. Both UP and NP jointly ran the lines there and later BN and UP ran there. Lots of mixed power, it is also a great era and place to model cause you can add more railroads and its prototypical.

    These are always great, but I'd run the trains faster.

    • @Tracksidemodelrailroading
      @Tracksidemodelrailroading  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Up grade branch line action is always slow moving freight, otherwise it would be too toy like and we're kind of too into the whole, up hill slow, down hill fast, tonnage first , safety last. ;)
