An example of something commonly used by English speakers that isn't English is "encore". You probably know it's a French word, but it can be translated to "again". There is no such translation for "έψιλον", so the translation would be to just put it in English letters. This was a long way of saying it's a loan word. "Computer" is the most classic example of a word pronounced basically the same in many different languages because those languages don't have a proper translation.
