- Capesthorne Hall is the much loved home of the Bromley-Davenports, a site on which they and their ancestors, the Wards and Capesthornes, have lived since Domesday times. The present house, built between 1719 and 1732, replaced an earlier building which stood on the site of the column in the front park.
In 1955 the family took the then unusual step of opening their house to the public. This has made it possible for the present generation to continue by establishing a Heritage Property and Maintenance Fund. Thanks to this it has remained in the family to become one of the most popular, yet unique venues in Cheshire.

Good afternoon Ant and Neil this looks a really impresive brick built Hall. It does look a striking frontage. Its good they had the foresight to open it to the public. That yellow was very striking. The chandelier with the ornate ceilings looked wonderful. Their colour selections were a little unusual but interesting. Thank you for showing us around. We enjoyed it very much. Hope you have had a great weekend Best wishes Dave and Dawn ❤️
@@inbetween-days the yellow is unusual but it works and is a modern addition. Thank for your continued support hope you are both well all the best 🙏
