Wow that's great to know that. BUT I STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO NOT CHANGE THAT AT ALL. SAVE THAT INFO ON PAPER FIRST AND MODIFY LATER. IMO thoose are calibration parameters, if you will change that, you will brake your radio. One of the potentialy CAN BE power output. PS: Ok mayb not brake, but it will be useless
Thanks for your comment, I have written down all of the original settings, I posted about it on my normsweb.com website before making the video, and that warns about changing settings. ( www.normsweb.com/tektips/motorola_t82.php )
@@warfsbench Hi, thx for answer. I can't open this menu, Im wondering why. (I have the same software version) But for sure, I will try something🙂On the other hand I hope that there is SQL level to set. I want to disable it and have radio open all over the time.
@@zygmunt73 The 'secret' menu only works on radios with version 3 main boards inside. If you press Menu and Lock while turning on and it gives you its firmware version, then the menu won't be availible in your radio. I have an idea about opening the squelch full time, but need to check something first... Watch this space!
@@zygmunt73 The amp chip in these radios is an LM4890, the SHUTDOWN pin is pin 1, so if you can lift pin 1 from the board (carefully as not to break it out of the chip), then connect that pin to a 1k resistor, then the other leg of the resistor to a 5 volt supply from somewhere in the radio the squelch 'should' be open all the time. (I say should, because the Motorola engineers are devious buggers)
