I personally don't care for Jack's opinion he's a wife beater and a shitty father, It doesn't matter if his views are right or wrong he made no effort to explain them to his child and just got mad at her and left. Didn't care for his 6 months pregnant wife either. My personal opinion is that people like him don't deserve a daughter or a wife.

The story should end according to Jo’s perspective. Jack should keep his grief,complexes and worry aside and agrees to Jo’s ending because Children are told stories because they are fun and appeal to their imagination, not because they are true and have moral lesson. That's a nice perspective! Children's imagination should be encouraged and one shouldn't force their opinion on them. Like I said both the opinions are equally justified from their respective point of views.
