    I used to work for a tech company in that area off Bayshore. I think there's a cement factory in that area that train primarily serves.

    I grew up in Redwood City, not too far from the port. When I was a kid in the ‘80s it was SP locomotives going up and down chestnut street. Back in the day chestnut was a horrible street. Rough as hell and full of pot holes. I was told it was the worst street in America.

      @@SeligsTrainsandTravels Chestnut street was fixed up in 90s I believe. It’s been a few years since I last visited Redwood City, but especially since the recovery from the 2008 crash the whole area has changed so much, I barely recognize it anymore. I remember riding bikes along the tracks where they pass underneath the 101 freeway.

    Do you know why some of the trains go back to south San Francisco while others stay in Redwood City? Like what’s the job they need to do?

    Does that train return to south San Francisco switch yard or it stays in redwood?

      not a clue but when i went to go see it one engine went back to sf and the other stayed behind

      It goes to redwood does switching for about 3 hours and heads back to south San Francisco
