Here's a hint. Soak the cocoa in the vegetable oil overnight. The oil brings out more flavour from the cocoa. Then, after the cake is baked, freeze it and then let it thaw. That will ALSO bring more flavour out.
I did a blend w this and one of your others w banana. (and my wife, from Ost Hessen, LOVED IT!!). Instead of 125g of sugar, I did 25, but mashed up two very ripe bananas, backed off the milk by 30%, added 2 tbsp of espresso powder 2 of dark rum, and used olive rather than veg oil. Made it richer and very smooth. And the 450 calories per mini-serving was excellent! (haha)

Hiiii, it not rising very well might be for one or two reasons, the baking powder has maybe been opened for a while or expired, you checked on it opening the steamer a couple times making the temperature decrease consistently, or you used too little sugar (less than 3/4 of the recipe), in baking the measurements are everything and changing too much of one key ingredient might give veeeery different results, specially in cakes and cookies 🍪 hope this helps!!

Lo que hay que tomar en cuenta es que se reduciría el tiempo de cocción a la mitad aprox, y tal vez el bizcocho no quede tan húmedo ya que haciéndolo al vapor aporta bastante de la humedad que se pierda al hacerlo sin huevo. Si lo haces avísame como te quedó!! :)

It could easily be made vegan though just replace the animal ingredients with vegan options. I don't know how to steam a cake though. That part seems weird 🤷♀️

Ja, dafür benötigen Sie eine spezielle Pfanne. Es heißt Dampfer. Die Hitze sollte mittel sein, aber das macht nichts. Der Kuchen ist wirklich lecker geworden.

Wenn Du keinen speziellen Dämpfer hast, dann genügt ein Einsatz in einen Deiner Töpfe. Du solltest bloß darauf achten, dass er so hoch ist, als das reichlich Wasser darunter passt, denn ansonsten müsstest Du nachgießen, was bei Kuchen gar nicht geht. Die fallen in sich zusammen, wenn der Dampfgarprozess mit Abdecken usw unterbrochen wird. Langfristig empfehle ich unbedingt einen Dämpfer. Keine Dampfgarer aus Plastik, davon haben wir reichlich um und ins uns.

Did you replace the dairy with vegetable milk and vegan butter or you used regular milk and butter?

Öl ist nicht gleich Butter. Die Inhaltsstoffe können sich negativ auf den Teig auswirken. Beim Backen immer nach Rezept ;-)
