Definitely MUST see a video of it driving down the road to hear how much it rattles before I would even considering buying one. No radio on, windows up, just a little talking for a second or 2 every minute to judge sound level on everyday driving. You can always turn the radio up, buy Mud Grapplers, or straight pipe your exhaust to cover up annoying sounds, but then you can't drive around chatting with someone without listening to it.

I’ve been curious about these things and always wanted to see somebody put one in so I appreciate this video. It’s not for me personally, mostly because of the price, but it doesn’t look bad at all really. For me to think about this, it’d probably have to actually be cheaper than a regular dash replacement. I understand why they’re expensive tho, I’m sure it was a ton of work and R&D to make them.

Finally a video lol I agree do a road test very curious on how they sound im interested in getting one. I like that it is aluminum and if you wanted to add accessories like brake controller and phone holder and stream light you can put them wherever. Then wondering if getting the dash mat would make it look a little better and maybe quieter? I really like them matte black is really sweet

You would be surprised. I had the lrb door panels and rear seat delete in my sc300 wich was abused offroad and they didn't tattle at all. I did take a few extra steps to try and prevent it during the install but I was still expecting rattling and I got none

I don’t know if it’s a thing but get some rivet caps or paint them to match

I’d rather run a 4th gen dash, this literally looks like Steve in his single wide fabbed up a dash. And yes I’ve seen someone make a metal dash that didn’t look too far off from this on their caravan 😂

Now I’d like to see you buy & install one of the full plastic replacement dashes that that one guy is making so you can compare the two options. I think they’re actually cheaper than these aluminum ones are and supposedly they’re made with better quality plastic than the oem stuff was so they should be stronger and last longer. Personally that’s probly the route I’ll go if/when the need arises but these are a cool option too.

Mine doesn’t rattle. There are no bull crap, like 200 rivets holding it together.
It’s a hard decision, I love how a brand new oem dashboard looks,but that aluminum dash does look sporty.

Good luck finding anything cheaper. Recently people have made the dashes out of plastic with an original mold but they charge you just the same. Might as well go aluminum if you do want to replace it

@@FirstGendodgegarage Geno’s only sells the dash top, not the frame. Everybody knows they can get a new top from Geno’s, or even better, LMC. It’s when the dash frame is crumbling is when you have to consider something like this.

He doesn’t just make this dash. He makes all kinds of dashes, door cards, aluminum parts, etc for many different vehicles

You could buy a lot of dash top replacements for what you spent on that. Its a cool concept. Im sure they have w lot of R&D on it and the price reflects that. If they could get the cost down to $400-$500 then im sure they would sell a bunch!
