Thanks for the reaction. DESTROSE was created by guitarist Mina, who was the leader of the band. Former members of DESTROSE have created or participated in such bands as: 2009 - MARY'S BLOOD (drummer Mari, vocalist Eye, guitarist Eri, bassist Kayo // guitarist Saki - 2012) 2014 - MARDELAS (vocalist Marina) 2015 - DISQUALIA (guitarist Narumi, drummer Risa☆Risa ) 2015 - FATE GEAR (guitarist Mina) 2016 - LOVEBITES (bassist Miho, drummer Haruna) 2019 - NEMOPHILA (guitarist Saki) 2020 - AMAHIRU (guitarist Saki) 2022 - LONESOME_BLUE (guitarist Narumi) Miho was in DESTROSE from November 2011 to the end of 2015 (DESTROSE's last concert was in July 2015). Miho was the second member of DESTROSE, after founder and leader Mina, in terms of length of stay in the band. Haruna was in DESTROSE from January 2012 to December 2014.

The lineup in this recording is: Bass: Rosana:Miho (ex-Lovebites) Drums: Haruna (Lovebites) Vocals: Marina (Mardelas) Guitar: Mina (Fate Gear) Guitar: Narumi (ex-Disqualia/Lonesome_Blue - briefly replaced Toki in Aldious in 2019-2020 when Toki was pregnant. Also, part of Yoshi's side project Down Dope Squad. She's now support guitarist for the band Unveil Raze)
Even in the Destrose era, you could see the solid and very good foundation of Haruna's drums and Miho's bass. The fact that the two then made two fundamental decisions made music history! 1. We're starting a new band and 2. we're producing music with English lyrics to appeal to a broad audience. Nobody could really plan that such music goddesses would find each other in the course of the new band - but sometimes, very rarely, miracles can happen! A miracle built up through talent and lots of practice, practice, practice and then practice, so that the instruments glow - so brightly that only the incredible community called Lovebites made the world's stages shine - and gave an old rock lover a second life as a rock music listener and made him howl with the wolves!
They disbanded in 2015 and all of them founded their own soon after. Narumi is the only one you guys didn't mention. She went on to Disqulia, Red Rabbit and Lonesome Blue. She also filled in for Toki in Aldious when they were on tour while Toli was having a baby.
excellent reaction , Destrose was a very good band , but I think they have the world record of changing members + 20 in 10 years !😃Haruna left the band in 2014 because she was getting married but a few months later she announced that the marriage had been cancelled , when Destrose broke up I imagine a phone call from Miho to Haruna ‘how about a new band?’ 😊
But what a suprise! I was binge watching my Japanese metal female bands and your video just appeared as recommended! Yes, that's DESTROSE (ROSE OF DESTRUCTION). Some call this as the Destrose school or Destrose bootcamp due the numerous changes of female members that played in that band trough years, and some of those members founded very awesome bands in their own. Those in this video, that was lost for many years is considered the Golden Team (Mina, Miho, Haruna, Narumi and Marina), all of them aces on their own and founded their own bands: Lovebites, Lonesome Blue, Mardelas or Fate Gear.
You found the rabbit hole ! Destrose Rocks !!! Now look for Asami singing Ben by Michael Jackson 🎤😎 Also check out a guitarist named SALLY , she could be the 3rd guitarist In Lovebites 🎸🎸🎸🤘😎 She is that good ! 🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
Destrose are often put forward as a band, arguably *the* band, that started the all-female boom. They formed before Aldious, Mary's Blood, Gacharic Spin and Bridear. They had many many line-up changes and never achieved that much commercial success, but many former members went on to be in other notable bands. Small correction to your video: Miho and Haruna were only in late-era Destrose and went on to found Lovebites. Destrose disbanded not long afterwards. I particularly like this song. There are of course Japanese all-female hrd rock and metal bands that started long before Destrose, the most important being Show-Ya, but that was a very different era.
This is a Great Representation of how Great the Duo of Haruna and Miho truly is. Destrose should had enjoyed bigger success but without their breakup we dont have Lovebites,Fate Gear and a couple other artists we hear today. Destrose and Mary's Blood were Hot af at this time.
The second Destrose guitarist in this video is Narumi Suzuki. When Miho and Haruna formed Lovebites, Narumi also formed the band Disqualia with Hazuki (Nemophila). Unfortunately, the Disqualia project was not continued. Narumi and Hazuki played together again as a guitar duo in the band of the great singer Rami (founding member of Aldious). If Narumi had not joined Disqualia, she would probably have joined Lovebites. Destiny. About Captain Mina : Mina Taicho is a songwriting and composing genius similar to Miyako. However, a completely different type of personality.
It's not quite a linear progression from Destrose to Lovebites. As far as I understand it Haruna left Destrose first in(I think) 2014, a year before the band broke up. The story is that she left to get married but that, in the end, the marriage never worked out. I'm not sure of the details and, since Japanese artists are very private in regard to their personal lives, I don't think anybody is. Anyway the band broke up in 2015 and Miho wanted to start a new band playing the sort of traditional metal that she loved. She got in touch with her old band mate Haruna to found Lovebites. They knew Midori Tatematsu who, at that time was in Gejiko Metalicche. Midori's band broke up in 2016 and she joined the nascent new group. Miyako Watanabe was at first only a guest musician since she had her own projects with Drop of Joker and 21 G. She didn't become a full member until 2017. In the meantime the group auditioned for a singer and recruited Asami. The band played their first official gig in November 2016; some 18 months after the last Destrose concert.
@@TJandTheGringa In December 2014, Haruna left DESTROSE and announced that she was stopping making music. Miho was in DESTROSE until the end. DESTROSE's last concert was on July 18, 2015. At this concert, DESTROSE announced that the band was taking a break. The first concert of the new band, which Miho created, was on August 4, 2016. The band was introduced to the public as POWERSLAVES. Since Miho was and remains a fan of IRON MAIDEN, it is likely that Miho initially named her band after IRON MAIDEN's Album 'Powerslave' (1984). Later, the ladies changed their name to LOVEBITES and performed for the first time under this name at 'Woman's Power - Girls Band Next Generation' (Tokyo, November 18, 2016). 'Woman's Power - Girls Band Next Generation' is a music event where 4 new promising bands consisting entirely of women performed: HONEY REVOLT, MAJ YAJIM, LOVEBITES and DISQUALIA.
DESTROSE was a very member-changing band. I imagine they were a band with a lot of tension in the air, for better or worse. I think it shows in the sound. That's what makes it cool.
One correction not founded by, but was their previous band.... Also had Saki from Marys Blood/Nemophilia ... she left before thos song.... You need to check out Aldious Dominator live Radiant A O East. Aldious came out 3 years after Destrose.... but Destrose was always an Underground band so it went through lots of members over time. Aldious was the first to break through snd be commercially successful. After their success other bands were finally able to gi from underground to mainstream.
Destrose formed in 2005 and went through a tin of members before this version which was yhe second to last lineup..... Haruna had left to get married, but that sadly didn't work out. When they went on hiatus in 2015 then Miho looked to startup a new band and contacted Haruna to see if she was available to join. And about 3 yrs later in 2018 they had Lovebites put together and making songs.
Correction: Destrose was founded by Minako Nakamura, aka Captain Mina. Some history with links: Destrose started out in 2005 under the name Destroya. They never achieved lineup stability, going through an incredible 23 different members in their run of 9 years. This is probably their best-known line-up. If you watch the live concert, that's from 2013. The blonde guitarist with the pirate hat is Minako Nakamura (stage name Mina), founder and bandleader and the only constant member. Former members went on to form many other all-female metal bands. There are very few clips of Destrose available on youtube, but here are three of the better ones: th-cam.com/video/LBW33qLPj3k/w-d-xo.html (“Rin” from the 2013 live performance) th-cam.com/video/vgWwXA8WmOQ/w-d-xo.html (full length MV of “Maze”) th-cam.com/video/M2uQGcm-kJo/w-d-xo.html (2009, “Skykiller”-not high quality but historically interesting because it features Saki before she left for Mary’s Blood) The first big spin-off from Destrose was Mary's Blood, which at various times included six different former Destrose members including most of the final line-up. That lineup (Eye, Rio, Mari and Saki) was stable from 2012 until early 2022, when they disbanded. (Saki has gone on to become one of the founders of Nemophila). Here is their best-known official MV: th-cam.com/video/MLM2unV0kwU/w-d-xo.html Vocalist Marina Hebiishi was arguably the best frontwoman Destrose had, and was their lead during their most successful run. Mardelas are focused on straight-ahead power metal: th-cam.com/video/Wd8P7wTnWJs/w-d-xo.html The guitarist on the left with long red hair is Narumi Suzuki, one of Japan's premier guitarists. She co-founded Disqualia, filled in for Toki with Aldious during Toki’s maternity leave, released a phenomenal solo EP, “The Seed”, featuring highly technical prog and fusion-style instrumentals; and then co-founded a new prog-metal band called Lonesome Blue. Unfortunately, Lonesome Blue lasted only one album with Narumi; she will undoubtedly resurface. She is very much worth checking out: th-cam.com/video/cRyCaHjwIgk/w-d-xo.html After the final dissolution of Destrose, Mina went on to found Fate Gear. They have featured a number of top vocalists, including Nana, who does both cleans and growls, and Ibuki. They also collaborate with Jill, the violinist best known for her work in Unlucky Morpheus. Here is Nana in “Megabullets”: th-cam.com/video/x--sGzoAzrA/w-d-xo.html Bassist Miho Rosana and drummer Haruna Yosai co-founded Lovebites in 2016, and are making a case for being the best power-metal band ever (Miho left the band during the pandemic and was just replaced by Fami, a young phenom who has already made an impact on the band). Here is one of their best MVs: th-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/w-d-xo.html. It gives you a taste of their approach, after which you have to see some of their astonishing live performances: th-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/w-d-xo.html Destrose have released a 3CD + 1 Blu-Ray collection of most of their published output, under "Destrose Chronicles--the Complete Flying Cat Recordings". Most of the material was long out of print. It is available from CD Japan or Amazon Japan, and very much worth it. Most of the recordings are from a three year period when they were at their peak in terms of quantity and quality of output. This is likely the last time their material will be published.
Saki, the awesome lead guitar, went to Mary's Blood and Nemophila. Haruna was just a baby, she joined Destrose right out of high school. The band broke up circa 2015-16. Immediately after, Miho and Haruna began Lovebites together.
Great song by a great band! Marina along with Asami are my favorite vocalists from Japan. Check out her band Mardelas, they are awesome, and Narumi went on to Disqualia and Lonesome Blue, both worth checking out. Miho and Haruna kicking ass as always, thanks for reacting to Destrose! 🤘🐺🤘
and an honorable mention for other guitarist narumi suzuki. she was in DISQUALIA - a short lived band , did an album on her own and also in LONESOME BLUE - another relatively short lived band that had an excellent ep and cd.
Yeah it's an all star cast, and that's just Haruna's symbols! Just fyi, and I might have misunderstood what you were saying, Destrose was formed by Mina, and then Miho and Haruna formed LOVEBITES. Marina, the singer here, is now in Mardelas. Cool band also worth checking out. She is very much worth checking out: th-cam.com/video/cRyCaHjwIgk/w-d-xo.html
After the final dissolution of Destrose, Mina went on to found Fate Gear. They have featured a number of top vocalists, including Nana, who does both cleans and growls, and Ibuki. They also collaborate with Jill, the violinist best known for her work in Unlucky Morpheus. Here is Nana in “Megabullets”: th-cam.com/video/x--sGzoAzrA/w-d-xo.html
Bassist Miho Rosana and drummer Haruna Yosai co-founded Lovebites in 2016, and are making a case for being the best power-metal band ever (Miho left the band during the pandemic and was just replaced by Fami, a young phenom who has already made an impact on the band). Here is one of their best MVs: th-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/w-d-xo.html. It gives you a taste of their approach, after which you have to see some of their astonishing live performances: th-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/w-d-xo.html
Destrose have released a 3CD + 1 Blu-Ray collection of most of their published output, under "Destrose Chronicles--the Complete Flying Cat Recordings". Most of the material was long out of print. It is available from CD Japan or Amazon Japan, and very much worth it. Most of the recordings are from a three year period when they were at their peak in terms of quantity and quality of output. This is likely the last time their material will be published.
Narumi 🎸🔥🤘
蛇石マリナさんのボーカルってのは、えもいわれぬ独特な魅力があるんですよね~。ロック・メタルにピッタリだと思っています。
I agree, I love listening to her sing!
Captain Mina 🎸🔥🤘
A bit of nostalgia...
So great to see Destrose reacted to. The roots of Lovebites lie here, but this band itself had quite a lot to offer as well.
They did great for seven years or so but their breakup at least meant that Miho and Haruna went on to found Lovebites! Every cloud and all that!
Guitar Goddess Saki (Mary’s Blood, ex-Nemophila) also played in Destrose, but only for a year.
and an honorable mention for other guitarist narumi suzuki. she was in DISQUALIA - a short lived band , did an album on her own and also in LONESOME BLUE - another relatively short lived band that had an excellent ep and cd.
Haruna looks like a kid in this one!
She still does lol
If you want to know what Miho did after she left Lovebites. Check out the band Chaos Control and the song Legacy Within. There is an official video.
You got in before me! Yes, it’s a good video and it’s definitely Metal Miho!

Narumi🔥🔥🔥
テキーラジミーさんの日本のフィメールメタルバンドの過去の掘り下げ系リアクションがまたきたね。
ミホとハルナ。デストロゼーは良いバンドだったよ。
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Las estrellas son exclusivas de Lovebites.....😜😜😜😜😜
Nos vemos el miércoles.....
Saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷
five members, not four. The guitarist stage right is Narumi.
While you’re at it, you might want to check out Midori’s previous band Gekijo Metalicche. Crazy stuff. “Make Up” and “Mirai Antai” are winners.
Mardelas /ice pick killer track please.
